“While in Key West, I was talking with a street vendor about some jewelry that he made and during the fun conversation, I asked somewhere a good place to eat was and he mentioned Moondog Café. It’s to listen to the locals because this place offered great drinks really good food and a great atmosphere. I felt like I didn’t want to leave It was so nice.I have the silly rule whenever I go to a restaurant I go to the bathroom first. I often think if they can’t keep their bathrooms clean then how clean is their kitchen? I’m happy to report that Moondog Café has very clean and actually very nice bathroom.“
“Pizza was just ok. Service was impressive! Hostess seated us and welcomed us to Key West. Asked us how our day was going and wanted to make sure we were happy here. We got our pizzas. A bit over priced for sure, but hey, can't beat the scenery!!Our waitress came over with 2 free margaritas!! What!? Who does that!?!? Thank you!!! Now that made the meal worth it.“
“We stopped by for an early morning coffee and while there was a small lineup, it moved very quickly. Service was friendly and efficient, coffee was hot and delicious! We didn't grab any food but there were breakfast/lunch sandwiches and it looked good! Lineup of people that early in the morning tells you it's a great place!“
“A local told me 'Don't bother trying to find the best key lime pie spot in key west because they are all amazing but if you want to try, look no further than Kermit's.' I'm glad I listened because Kermit's does it right!! It's the perfect balance of tart and sweet with a nice graham cracker crust and fresh whipped cream. For those who want to try a different take on key lime pie, they also serve it frozen on a stick covered in chocolate! My recommendation is to get both so you can decide how you like it. Either way you won't be disappointed.“
“The wait time for this place is approximately 20-30 minutes.Recommended Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Their famous dish is the Maine Lobster Roll ($25), generously filled with lobster and absolutely delicious! The lobster is incredibly fresh, and even reheating it doesn't compromise the taste.Another popular option is the Garlic Steamed Middle Neck Clams ($15), served with two slices of French bread. The base is a mixture of garlic and butter soup. Personally, I find that the clams themselves already bring a salty flavor, so choosing a butter with added salt might not be necessary. The soup has a rich and savory taste, and since the clams are thoroughly cleaned without any sand, you can skip this dish if you prefer.“
“You should go for breakfast and again for lunch! Cuban coffee is delicious and chorizo breakfast tacos are excellent only if 3 handmade chorizo tacos with handmade salsa verde sounds good…It’s definitely delicious! Cuban sandwich also excellent and highly recommend !! Must try if you’re anywhere nearby!!!“
“Patrick and his staff are amazing! They are churning out the most incredible barbecue items anywhere with a friendly attitude. The pulled pork, the chicken, etc are all fantastic and don’t miss the brisket on Saturdays! The sides that are available are beyond creative and flavorful. Eaton Good is a must visit when in Key West. Great staff! Great food! Great vibes!! Just awesome!!!“
“Great coffee and donuts. We had two cafe cubano and shared 4 donuts. Key lime, passion fruit cheesecake, coconut creme, hazelnut brown sugar. The coconut creme was our favorite! They're small to medium sized donuts. It gets busy so go early to avoid the line! The place itself has indoor seating but many people sit along the sidewalk outdoors.“
“Best food I had in Key West! Was not even close. Spent 4 days there and I can say by far this was the best meal I had. We actually made plans to go back our last day because it was so good.Do not be thrown off by the fact that it's basically in an ally. The vibes are hole-in-the-wall and it is.Make sure to stop here! (And get the hot sauce)“
“We saw a recommendation to try this place out for breakfast and we're so glad we did. The Rooster breakfast was fantastic, make sure you add on the flavor pancakes. My bf had blueberry, I had pecan. They were both good, but we preferred pecan. And make sure you have key lime pie. Who cares if it's breakfast.“
“I got the key west lobster roll. It had huge chunks of lobster and tasted fresh. It was big enough to be filling but too big so I wasn't able to finish it. It's $30 and comparing that to another $30 dish I don't know if I'd say it's worth that price. However, it's worth trying once. It's a small place, so there's not a lot of sitting room. However, you can take your sandwich to go and eat near or on the beach.Note: they don't take apple/google pay“
“Best place to eat on the island!!! Been coming to Key West for 4 winters and I can’t get enough of it! I rarely eat anywhere else! Healthiest & tastiest food BY FAR! Only place that offers organic options! So many gluten free & vegetarian options! Also lots of healthy grocery shopping! I get my produce & toiletries & snack here! Lots of healthy chips & sweet treats! Only organic coffee on the island!!! Only organic milk! Lots of juice & smoothie options! And everyone is SO kind! Guaranteed food & drinks made with love! You won’t regret coming here!!!!!“
“Great spot for some bbq! Stopped for lunch/dinner during our night in Key West. The woman running the show was super friendly and welcoming. The portions were huge and the bbq sauce options were delicious! Certainly recommend stopping if you can and it’s on a boat!Parking: The parking isn’t very obvious, but once you figure it out, it’s fine.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly, they even let you feed the fish off the side of the boat!“
“Superb coffee roasted and prepared by a couple with a passion for coffee. Highly knowledgeable of both the coffee origin and farmer as well as preparation. Excellent single origin Brazilian coffee brewed in a French press was the perfect start to a Key West day!“
“Most friendly bar in Key West. Right away we became family with the bartender and fellow patrons that were drinking. Very cool place and every cooler people there. We were recommended by a local in Tavernier and so glad we went! Also very good food next door!“
“I am a sucker for a good croissant sandwich and this place did not disappoint. The croissant was sizeable and soft, the eggs were made fantastic, the bacon wasn't too hard or too soft. Just all around perfection. The key lime pie French toast blew my friends socks off, picture included which could be confused as art haha. Mimosas were yummy and the staff was friendly and attentive!“
“A great selection of rums from many distilleries around the world. As a rum snob, I prefer my rum to taste like rum, not whiskey. If you are the same, then be sure to express that. Otherwise, this is a great little place for getting your rum fix.“
“The food was completely amazing! It has such a great location that I had low expectations for the food because it seemed logical to me that they are going to get customers based solely on the location even if the food was mediocre. But I was genuinely impressed! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the pecan catch (even the roasted veggies that come with it were very tasty and the rice was phenomenal).“
“The breakfast spot was recommended by staff at our resort. It was delicious! I tried the seafood omelette. My bf had the inside out eggs Benedict. Both were great. If I had to choose one, his was better. Next time I'd get the hollandaise sauce as a side with my omelette.“
“Yes it's a dive bar as the name implies and they are proud of it!! As they should be!! Cold beer, limited snack type menu and a good quiet place to just relax and have a drink and a taco or burrito! Lots of classic bar type memorabilia hanging everywhere with one of a kind t-shirt designs plastered on the ceiling. You can buy their t-shirt of the month in the bar, while also subscribing to their t-shirt club which is a consortium of other like minded dive bars. Pretty neat and unusual concept.“
“## The Breakfast Club, Too: Key West's Breakfast Dream Team!Forget the ordinary breakfast routine! The Breakfast Club, Too, in Key West completely transformed our mornings. This place isn't just about food (although that's amazing too!), it's a full-on experience.First off, the creativity on the menu is unreal. We tried the [mention a specific dish you enjoyed, e.g., Lobster Benedict] and it was an absolute explosion of flavor. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the portions are perfect to fuel your day of exploring Key West. But what truly sets The Breakfast Club apart is the incredible staff. We were lucky enough to be served by Sam?, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. They even offered suggestions for things to do around town based on our interests.Let's not forget the legendary Bloody Marys! With so many different varieties, there's a perfect option for everyone. We opted for the [mention the Bloody Mary you tried, if applicable] and it was the perfect balance of spice and refreshment. The Breakfast Club, Too, offers fantastic value for the quality of food and service you receive. It's definitely become our go-to spot for breakfast in Key West, and we can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious creations. Highly recommend!“
“So glad we finally tried this spot. Not sure if things have changed ever since they aired on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Didn't get to see the owners. Can you ever say no to a lot of meat? Pictured here is an order of (2) Korean BBQ Tacos, loaded with meat. Korean BBQ flavor was delicious and Sriracha wasn't too much. Order comes with a bag of Zippy's chips. Also ordered their Kogi Dog which also was a huge portion with plenty of kim chi and sauce to cover each bite. Both orders are definitely worth every penny.“
“Great spot! The lemongrass mojito is one of the best mojitos I have ever had. Lobster roll was also top notch! The owner Omar was very kind and personable. He even sat down at our table with us and had a great conversation! I recommend anyone to stop in and try it out.“
“Went with friends for an afternoon bite before their flight and it was perfect. Had the grouper shrimp cakes as an appetizer for the 4 of us then individual hamburgers for lunch. Had a wonderful young lady make us a ‘Painkiller’ and a Golden Margarita that was delicious. Domestic beer only $5, a true find on KW. Between the view, the vibe and the prices you can’t go wrong.“
“Had to grab some thing to eat before our bus left. The tuna sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and chicken tacos were sooooo delicious! Especially after we had a terrible lunch at “The Seaside Cafe at the Mansion”. The bar tender at the back bar was sooo sweet and got our food ready so fast. I wish we had more time to try other food! Highly recommended!“
“Super cute restaurant with kind, helpful staff. Their oysters are wonderful, mozzarella sticks are the best we’ve ever had and their Key lime Cartel drink is yummy!! The fish entrees were good and creative but a bit spendy for what they are (i.e. fish n chips $35).“
“A fantastic shrimp scampi I will never forget. Everything about Sole was equally beautiful and delicious. The outdoor seating we had was charming and majestic with a very classy appeal. It gave off an intimate vibe despite the amount of seating. My beef carpaccio had a thinly cut freshness that was a good teaser for the rest of my meal. My highlight was my shrimp scampi that I couldn't give enough praise for. I'd go back here just to order this again. The noodles absorbed the sum of its parts so well with the oil and sauce. I don't know how else to describe how it tasted so good. I really enjoyed the key lime pie as well. I found torching the cream on top slightly unnecessary, the cake itself along with the graham cracker crust more than made up for it (which honestly didn't really need to be made up for.) The staff was exceptional as well. We didn't have to wait long for service and everything came as expected. They gave us good wine recommendations as well.“
“The owner and all the staff are great people. SUPER friendly, very accommodating, and all of their products are top notch. The atmosphere & ambiance is extremely inviting. Great place to hang out with friends. Chill place, would 10/10 recommend!“
“WOW... What can I say other than it is our favorite watering hole! We have been coming here for a few years now... I need to tell you how wonderful Alex, Christin, Suzanne and Erica are!!! The most attentive young women. My husband,John, and I have traveled about, but have never been treated as well as these young ladies have treated us or others that we had the pleasure of meeting ther. The establishment should be so lucky to have these young ladies working. Need to mention some awesome music as well. Can not wait to come back next year for a couple months to Key West.... Definitely recommend the Tipsy Rooster“
“I didn't like the service because the waitress didn't try to help us with some issues and made drama over trifles. My son is diabetic and I needed to know either the amount of carbohydrates in a serving or the amount of the food itself that contains carbohydrates. for him it was French fries. to which she replied that they don't have information about carbohydrates and there are no scales to weigh food either. in other restaurants this has never been a problem And the drama was that I changed the order, but this happened almost immediately after the order. I don't see a problem changing the order if it hasn't even started to be prepared yet. Overall the food was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. only the fries were so generously sprinkled with salt that they had to be scraped off. otherwise it was impossible to eat“
“Stopped in with friends for breakfast the other week. I got the Key Wester sandwich, Cuban Vanilla coffee, and a smoothie (the strawberry one). Line was like 15-20 people deep when I got there but moved consistently. Service was friendly. Food was DELICIOUS, especially the smoothie. I'd go back!“
“Drinks not food. Accessed it by boat. Food is served right next door. It's just a typical little boaters bar In a well hidden location as far as by boat. But you can access it by road. I just don't know that way. But, decent locals crowd. Some tourists around. But mostly boaters/fishers from nearby.“
“This is a beautiful place to chill and enjoy the sunset! The margaritas were delicious. Likewise the food! We had the mahi sandwich which was really delicious. The service was exceptionally quick and the prices were surprisingly quite reasonable. The live music was also very good ?“
“We had the pleasure to have breakfast twice while on vacation last week . Dennis the owner is incredible and staff is amazing! The food is delicious! Make sure you have a slice of his grandma’s 7 layer cake made with only 6 ingredients!! Will always make this stop while visiting Key West.“
“Super cute and quaint togo spot. The bread is fantastic. I ordered the egg sandwich and it was just egg and bread but it was so good and held its heat very well. My husband got the mixed cuban sandwich with no tomatoes and that had a lot of flavor. We also got a guava pastry that was so light and flaky. They are very quick, I'd love to try more of their menu.“
“This is a small shop along Duval that--surprise!--sells key lime products. They have a little outdoor back patio if you want to sit and eat there. Obviously, you can take your food to go, if you wish. The key lime pie was good. It's not as sweet as some places and you can definitely taste the tart key lime flavor, if that appeals to you. It had a good balance of sweet and tart. Nice enough shop and good pie.“
“This is my husband's favorite spot so we went several times over our stay in key west. I've had the Cuban mix, fish sandwich, and fried chicken and you can't go wrong ordering any of them. All were delicious and served on the classic cuban bread. Definitely get whatever you order served "all the way". The batidos are so good. My favorite is the mango but the others are good as well. It's definitely a place you order from and then take back as there is not really any seating. However, there's always some good people watching while you wait for your food.“
“I was looking for a nice restaurant at a pretty good price in Key West and this place was perfect. Got some happy hour drinks and the Mahi mahi bites which were cooked perfectly. I’ve worked at the top seafood restaurant in my home state for 8 years and the Tuna Nachos and Tuna dinner platter were right on par with my home restaurant!! Great place and a great value! Would have preferred Caribbean music rather than country but that just a personal preference ?“
“The service wasn't anything - it seemed that the woman who worked there didn't have the strength to be there and she was a bit unsympathetic. The man at the cash register was cute. We ordered a cheese toast which was nice but in my opinion expensive compared to the value and a Cuban sandwich which was really delicious and bursting inside with filling.“
“The atmosphere of the place is amazing, the food is very delicious and the staff is very helpful and open. Cocktail sauce was something unknown to me, I went there to ask what its composition was other than horseradish and they gave me all the information I needed to know about the sauce. You can bring your own booze becuase they don't sell alcohol.“
“Best Cubans ever. They were filled with such delicious ingredients, they were not skimping the fillings at all. 2 different types of pork were so flavorful and juicy. The cheese was gooey and so yummy. This was the best authentic Cuban me and my family ever had. We also got and avocado chicken sandwich, which was good but nothing could compare to the Cubans.“
“I really really loved it here. We came on a Thursday so we weren’t able to stay long enough to order food. 6oclock they start the vibrator races so we had a time crunch but I really appreciate them allowing us to go in for 45 minutes so we could experience the bar and order their Irish coffee which I heard about online. Can’t wait to go back next year to try some food as well!“
“Geiger Key Marina is a two-fold new favorite for me and my family who have been visiting the Keys for over 40 years. The short review is about the kayaking eco tour they offer. If you have a chance, reserve a few kayaks and go make some memories while paddling around the beautiful, scenic mangrove islands. Buy one of their super cool Geiger Key Eco Tours sun shirts if you want to add to the fun.The marina restaurant is where I intend to review because this is where the average person is going to engage with this business. Many of us don't own boats and although they offer RV campsites, the capacity is so limited it would only be a select few who experience camping at Geiger Key as opposed to the hundreds of customers that can experience the bar/restaurant each day. First off, try the grouper cheeks. After that, pick whatever beer (Crazy Lady blonde ale, wink wink) suits your fancy and go on to try anything else on the menu. Having been by there a few times over the past two years I've found nothing but friendly people and a good food and drink menu. Geiger Key Marina is off the beaten path and definitely worth spending a minute exploring. Sit down and spend a minute an arm's length from the beautiful water of the Keys and you will not be disappointed if a few minutes turns into an hour or two. A short drive from Key West and a short drive from Marathon, Geiger Key should be worth anyone's time.“
“True to its name! A cute, clean, friendly, modern coffee, tea, bakeshop, art shop, and wine shop. A few resident/family of roosters on-site, roaming. See media of the baby rooster. Didn't snag any of the adult roosters, unfortunately. Pictured here is my order of their Ginger Honey Tea during the last afternoon, which is reminiscent of my favorite Filipino hot fresh ginger drink called Salabat; and an order of their homemade Napoleon Cake at a second visit at night.“
“We chose Fisherman's Cafe based on previous reviews which mentioned having some Gluten Free (GF) options. Admittedly, I misjudged the weathered, physical appearance as I approached, but one bite of the food immediately had me mentally adding this to my list of Key West favorites! We timed our visit perfectly just after the peak lunch time and had the entire place to ourselves with only a few minutes to wait until our food came to our table hot and fresh. Once we began eating, we quickly adapted to the no frills, picnic style dining arrangement. The owner was low key (no pun intended) and soft spoken, but when I mentioned my wife's gluten allergy, he said "that sounds like celiac disease right? My best friend's wife suffers from the same thing." He then went on to list the menu items he could offer without worry, as well as what we should avoid. If you or someone in your dining party has celiac, you know what a relief it is when the person at the grill gets it! We are so thankful to whomever previously mentioned Fisherman's Cafe having GF options. I surprised myself by ordering the pulled pork sandwich rather than the Mahi Mahi tacos, but I was not disappointed with my choice. It came out in a few minutes piping hot and so delicious. The fries were similar to boardwalk type fries served hot and not too hard. My wife had the Island Bowl which she thoroughly enjoyed. Although the selections are limited, you are guaranteed a great meal fresh off the grill at the Fisherman's Cafe. We will be back one day!“
“We've been going for years at the brick and mortar and this year at Truman Park with the food truck. My kids LOVE tropical vibes and is there first stop when we arrive in Key West even after a long 24hr drive to get there! Always get Tiger's Blood, also tried gummy bear this year and it was delish! Go get your delicious ice!!! Follow them on FB for locations they will be at!“
“Really good hot dogs! If your not a local you will be craving one when you leave, at least it did. All the toppings blend perfectly for the right flavor. It seems like alil too much but it's not! I never knew a simple hot dog could taste so good. I definitely will stop by to grab one anytime im in town. Love the concept and wish he was local or would open up a location in Miami or start a chain. Lol“
I'd go back!“
“Had an amazing experience on a Saturday, ate the Ruben egg rolls, and oh my they were delicious. Polly was amazing and fun and funny and so sweet! We were leaving Sunday and went back as soon as you opened just to see Polly and have a few drinks. What an amazing experience for us. Hi Polly... Diane, Eddie and Mom. Fort “
“We used to be patrons of Kaya’s at their former location, and miss them immensely. Our first trip to their KW location and we are happy to see the same faces in charge (after years, no less) with the same level of energy and openness, and also very happy to find the quality of the food has been retained and even refined. Excellent cuisine and a good value, and their new location has several different spaces from a bar to outside courtyards so you can find an ambiance that suits you. Excellent happy hour also available 4-6 I believe, with half price apps and drinks. We had their famous (to us) jerk wings and they are awesome, and coconut shrimp were also meaty and tasty and so much flavor added by way of a tasty side sauce. We shared fish tacos as the main and they were excellent, both the fish and the accompaniments in the taco. We never get dessert but sprung for an ice cream pie called the Hulu Girl, it disappeared in a quiet frenzy (didn’t want the ice cream to melt!). Drinks were reasonable and very varied. Highly recommend and I hope we can still get a seat next time! We went on a very windy weekday at around 5:30. Kudos Kaya Island Eats, so happy for you!“
