“One of the best meals I have had this year. Taste-wise Goblin Market delivered, I’ve never even considered honey truffled scallops. Not to mention the steak was cooked perfect, juicy and topped with de vin, au jus and bleu cheese. My husband and I can’t get over how much flavor our meals had. We left happy and full.”

“The restaurant was very busy and we had made a reservation. We arrived a few minutes early and we were greeted by a very nice young man. We could see that it was going to be awhile, but we were not concerned. They kept telling us how sorry they were, (they were short handed) and the owner/chef even came out to thank us for being so patient. We were seated and the chef came out and apologized again. I ordered a glass of wine from him and then received another. He also gave us a special treat as a thank you for our kindness and patience. We ordered and cannot say enough of how good the food once. I am Italian, have eaten in Italy numerous times and this is like being there. He has a good menu, not large, but the food is excellent. When we ordered we received our food quickly. We plan to return to Mount Dora, as we cruise a lot, and definitely will visit them again!”

“We visit Pisces Rising several times a year and love their food and drink, happy hour is great. They do need to alter their recipe for the Poke Stack.....it's all fresh, but had a huge top layer of wonton and thick bottom layer of rice, making the whole thing really dry. If they just eliminated those items, it would be much better.”

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.”

“The Salted Fry in Mt. Dora Florida is a completely gluten free restaurant! The food and atmosphere is AMAZING! This is the first time I have sat down in a restaurant in 14 years where I could eat every single item on the menu! Hands down 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Even my friends that aren’t gluten free couldn’t tell food was gluten free! 🥰 Be sure to check them out if you come to Mount Dora, Florida! This is definitely the place you want to eat!!”

The buffalo hot sauce was good and stuck to the wings well, and was a bit spicy which I loved. The fries were hot and seasoned well. I was very happy and will order again.”

“Went in a Friday night over the Arts Festival weekend. They were busy, but staff seated us fairly quickly. We ordered a veggie pizza - it came out huge, hot & delicious. The veggies were very fresh, the crust was not too thick or thin & it had the right amount of cheese. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. We feel like we picked a great place & wish we had more time to go back & choose one of their Italian dishes!”

My wife and I are vegetarian. The salad was crisp and nicely prepared, onion rings were lightly breaded and light, and hush puppies were exceptional.
Waitress was a pleasure and even came back to check an ingredient to see if we ate it.

“Our server Jose and another gentlemen provided us with exceptional customer service. They welcomed our family of 5 with smiling faces and friendly personalities. They were patient while we ordered our food and provided quick service. The restaurant was extremely clean, floors were recently mopped and tables were all wiped down. The food was fresh, delicious and well seasoned. For reference, we ordered a combination of wings, subs, fries and pretzels. Our 2 year old was licking her fingers and she is a very picky eater.

“This place did not disappoint. We have been waiting for it to open and this was my first experience with a ramen house. I had the garlic pork base ramen and it was deli shoes. “I recently visited China 8 in Mount Dora with my sister, and once again, they did not disappoint! The restaurant consistently offers a cozy atmosphere coupled with exceptional customer service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice and special fried rice, which were both cooked to perfection. The honey chicken and fried chicken with honey sauce were delightful treats—sweet, crispy, and just the right amount of goodness. We couldn't resist their egg rolls and spring rolls either, which were the perfect starters to our meal.

Although I found a small rock in my rice, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Mistakes happen, and it's nothing that would keep me away.

If you're in the area and craving delicious Chinese cuisine with a side of warm hospitality, China 8 is the place to go. We'll definitely be back for more!”

“This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.”

“We order from here often. It is a small family owned & ran takeout restaurant. The food is good, always hot, large portions, reasonably priced, and ready very quickly. You will always see their 2 kids in the restaurant and the young boy helps out with the cash register never had an issue with him taking my order or cashing me out. For all those who complain I think it teaches responsibility. Love this place”

My only disappointments were the small size of the hotdog (although it was a delicious ALLL-BEEF GRILLED dog) and the fact they only provide yellow mustard. They don't even offer brown mustard in packets. Hopefully they will consider such in the future”
