“I went there thinking there was a nice sit down option for my family, but was dissatisfied with the seating arrangements. Place was quite dirty outside. But the Griot with rice and beans were great. This is more of a to go option but definitely won't get crossed off the list.“

“Ordered delivery due to Covid restrictions so this is based on that experience. I checked multiple local spots and this place has the best price for a complete griot plate. Was also nice that they're about a half a mile away. The delivery was very quick and unlike other delivery drivers these days, they actually followed my instructions for dropping it off, which was a huge plus. The food was hot, fresh and most importantly, delicious. I'm not even a plantain fan but I always take a bite in case it's good and these were! I definitely will be ordering from them again and recommending them to my friends that live close. I'm a HUGE griot fan and this was one of the best I've had. The meat was just right. Not a lot of fat and not too crunchy. Let's just say there aren't any leftovers!“
“So far I’ve ordered a few times on DoorDash and my food has always come with good portions and taste good so no complaints so far I would recommend. Hopefully it stays that way as I order occasionally and not frequently. But if the portions or taste ever change I will update my review to reflect that.“
“The food here SLAP. I only gave 4/5 stars because I went an hour after they open and 75% of the menu was not ready. The macaroni gratiné musta came from Orlando cause he said it was being brought in and 2 hrs later it still wasn't there, but when I got my hands on it ouuu yassss baby it was good. Flavorful griot!! I made love to that plate lol. I was beyond happy!!! . Service was pretty quick. I can't wait for them to blossom and grow and have more locations cause them folks throw down in the kitchen like I do .“
“5/5 across the board! This place is truly a gem and I am so glad we found it. Vic is a master in the kitchen and Sierra makes you feel comfortable right away. The wings are crispy and and sauced perfectly, the all day breakfast is perfection! We will be back so soon! “First time client recommended from a Instagram follower. So I went yesterday and when I walked to the truck nobody was at the window. Secondly I was asked if I was Haitian and if I eat that food which was rude and out of place. I love Caribbean food from all over . The young lady didn’t understand English well and there was no one that spoke English. I looked at the menu and ordered what I thought would be roughly around $18 with tax . But apparently for a meal of griot,rice and plantain it was $23 but says $16 on the menu. I asked for black rice and was told it’s $10 Being that I didn’t have anyone to speak Creole to explain why is it that amount. I just paid I was told it would take 15 minutes and it took 30. I don’t mind the wait if you say it can range from this to this . Ok , I understand the food is cooked to order . Then I called the number on the truck no answer not even a return call . The food is in boxes with paper which is very unappealing to me . Probably my first and last time visiting unfortunately. . Mr. Vert’s kitchen you should have someone working who not only knows how to speak English but understands also . Having a language barrier can cause lots of frustration which it did for me . Also try using to go plates where all the food is not separated.“
“Yesterday, February 1, 2024, was my first time experiencing "Island Fusion Cusine," and it was the best Griot I ate from a haitian restaurant ever since my grandma can no longer cook anymore. The Griot was tender, juicy, and tasty. And I'm back again for more the next day. Hopefully, they can keep up the same quality that have me writing a whole book about their restaurants. I haven't tried any other meal yet, I will in the near future. Hands down the best Haitian Restaurants in Pompano if not the whole Broward County.“
