“On Sept 11th my husband & I enjoyed a delightful and most delicious meal. It was our anniversary and the staff made it even more special. The only downside is when we paid the bill we were not told that the tip would be POS entered separately from our account. My husband checked our account and he thought the tip had not been given. So he made a trip to Carmelo's to ask about why and to correct. He was told the tip was done separately - think this should be told to their guests. Thank you for a lovely evening and amazing food.”

“We called with a party of 10 and got a recording stating that reservations were not taken. We arrived and were told that there were no tables available and that we should have made reservations. We explained that we tried to and showed the Hostess the Website and number we called. We asked to speak with the Manager to make him aware of the website. Travis introduced himself and seated us temporarily outside( it was not the best of Florida weather this night) and had staff circle heaters around our table and brought us complimentary appetizers until they could accommodate all of us. Travis gave us his personal cell # and in our opinion went above and beyond to make this a Special Evening for all of us. This is not our first time here, but it was with such a large group. Justina was our Server and is Personality Plus The food is always excellent”

“We found our new go to restaurant. I called today to ask for a take out order. My husband wasn’t feeling well today and said he really wanted a nice pork belly ramen bowl. I looked up where I could go to get this and this restaurant came up near me. I gave it a shot and called a take out order. The lady who answered was super helpful in helping me with my order since I wasn’t familiar with the menu and was very patient with me. When I got there to pick up, the staff was amazing and made the place feel so welcoming. They seemed really happy and made the whole place shine. They packaged everything really nicely. When I got home to drop my husbands off, he was very happy and it was exactly what he was wanting. I brought mine to work and put it together there since they packaged the broth separately. Was absolutely amazing! Totally made my Friday. I got the shrimp one since the lady I spoke with on the phone recommended it to me based on what I was looking for since I wasn’t familiar with the menu. Amazing recommendation. Will absolutely order from here again in the near future. Prices were really reasonable for how good it was.”

“Okay... so after having a conversation with my clients today about how most of the restaurants around here are a total disappointment, we decided to go out to eat and give it a shot. I've been to Leroy's 3 times now and it is has been amazing every time! So I'm writing this review-5 stars ! We had the 24oz ribeye steak with mashed and Mac and cheese, it was killer! The fried chicken is fantastic along with the banana pudding. Definitely give this spot a try. They got hit pretty hard last hurricane season, so go and support them. You'll be happy you did.”

“We had our 1st meal for lunch to Try some stuff out. Greeted right away, clean and fresh. Everybody was helpful and nice. Food was excellent. Dumplings were light and tasty steamed. We had a cold roll of Crazy tuna roll. You could tell the fish was fresh and well rolled. Light and yummy. We had a cooked roll of the Mexican. It was warm and tasty. “We drove over 2 hours to find out if their blue crabs were any good. They did not disappoint. I had the all you can eat for $45. I was expecting a lot of smalls but these were all at least mediums. These guys were all packed with meat...HEAVY! They came out steaming hot. Most Florida restaurants boil their crab which I'll eat but are a yucky mess. I did not have a single watery crab! I had asked for crab soup to take home to my son but they had just run out. The server offered to send me home with a bag of crabs (8) for $5. These were wonderful as well and I was able to make him soup loaded with crab meat. For you landlubbers, they do have other options. My husband's burger was very good. I thought the service was great without being over bearing. Our server always magically appeared before or as we needed something. Yes, I will be back and I highly recommend checking them out!!”

Bartenders are very attentive too if you end up there as I have a few times. The captains chowder is the best way to start your meal. The view is a nice plus as well.”

The atmosphere is cozy and it’s very clean, the owner and staff are all so happy and genuinely want to know their customers. There were many regulars in there. And their coffee…I’ve been three times now and I give all three a chef’s kiss. Perfection! As are their blueberry muffins. I don’t know how they can take something so ordinary and make it stand out like they do, but they are amazing, too! Definitely try them, you won’t regret it!”

“Went back to Brooklyn Joe's today. Had the sausage with onions and peppers. It did have red sauce and white American cheese on it. I'm sure you could have provolone or something different if you choose to , but the sandwich was very good. The sausage had a good fresh flavor with a nice spice to it. Plus the pizza by the slice is good. I noticed that older people were seated eating plus young kids coming in to eat. Also workers coming in for lunch. The food is good and the place has a good character about it. The employees have a good personality and all seem to be welcome. Thanks”

The second and third time wasn't so great. What's the building needs to upgrade the bathrooms really need work. The timer service from time of ordering wasn't so great the second and third time. Even had to ask for a refill for my cup of coffee. Probably because I didn't have my original waitress from the first time.”

Both dishes were served promptly and prepared to perfection, resulting in a very satisfying meal. The only suggestion is to put a little less butter on the grits. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very good, however the bathrooms, while generally clean, could benefit from a more thorough cleaning in the future (floor tiles and tops of tiles on wall). Nonetheless, I felt comfortable using the facilities. Our waitress, Christina, provided excellent service, contributing to the overall positive experience. For those seeking a reliable breakfast spot in Punta Gorda, this Waffle House is highly recommended. Even with the $.50 per egg surcharge, the price was very reasonable. I do not mind paying the surcharge. You can tell this restaurant is managed well.”

“I don't leave reviews often, but Dough Bar Restaurant deserves one. It's our go-to spot when we're in the mood for pizza. On our first visit, there was a big party on the patio, but my partner and I were treated like the only table in the place. Service was smooth, well-paced, and the pizza was fresh and full of flavor. Our most recent visit sealed the deal again. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Ang and Reina, with Ari greeting us at the door. Everyone we've encountered here, including the young male host, the chefs, have been kind, helpful, and clearly part of a team that supports each other. That kind of environment shows. The parmesan fries were perfect, and the pizza was just as good as we remembered. The food is always consistent, and the cooks deserve just as much credit as the front of house. The Hawaiian is my personal favorite. Pineapple on pizza might not be for everyone, but in Punta Gorda, once a pineapple capital, it fits! Dough Bar delivers every time. Great Food. Great Service. “Golden Corral Punta Gorda 5-18-24: Stopped by for dinner at 4:30ish and this place was packed. The parking lot was full and once inside the right side of all the tables were occupied. This place was clean and everything around the food areas were also clean. I have been to this place a couple times as my dad who is 92 loves this buffet and all the food choices. The main food bar is packed with all kinds of food items to choose from. To start at one end is Steak, Mushrooms, Onions & Peppers, Onion Rings, Ribs, Meat Loaf, Fried Shrimp, Chicken Wings, Fried Chicken, Bourbon Street Chicken, Pot Pie, Fried or baked Fish, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Macaroni & Cheese, Rolls, Baked Potatoes, all kinds of vegetables this is just to name a few. On the Taco bar there is Taco Meat, Shells and all the fixings to make any kind of tacos you want. Now the salad bar is packed with all kinds of fruit, and they also have crab salad. There is so much to choose from and too much to name. The desert bar has all kinds of cakes and pies plus ice cream and some fixings for that. I use to get pie and bread pudding for dessert, it was so good. I don’t care for the ice cream but others in my party loved it. I got the steak for the main course, and they will do it how you like it. The Steak was good, not too tough, and not too chewy, it was large enough. I always get the Fried Shrimp and Mashed Potatoes and they both were good and hot. I make sure I get some Pot Pie as it reminds me of back home. It was hot, full of Chicken and very good. I end up with the crab salad now its imitation crab but its good enough for me as I try to stay away from deserts. This place has never disappointed me as far as the quantity of food they have. It is a buffet and if you want a 5 diamond or Michelin star restaurant this may not be the place for you. If you want a large selection of food and food that is tasty this may be just the place for you. I say try it and draw your own conclusion.
