The Alambre Mixta is a huuuge portion mixed with veggies, meats and they give a nice stack of tortillas to accompany this family meal for 4 or more! Definitelt recommend to check this plate out but make sure ro come hungry and with friends or family. The Barbacoa from here is also the absolute best that i have tried from anywhere nearby. Taqueria San Jose definitely fits the description of an off the beaten path stop, but it is worth the detour in my opinion. The food here is authentic mexican street food, simple but delicious! The tacos are small but cheap, the meat is well seasoned and tender, the ingredients are fresh, and the salsa is loaded with flavor. This place is off the charts don’t let the outside fool you it is amazing. Try the Barbacoa tacos and the asada torta. The tamarindo agua is sooooo good. I’m Hispanic and this place was amazing. Picture of my mom enjoying the food she’s a hella hard critic and she even loved it.
