“Ponte does not disappoint! I took my husband there last night for his birthday and from start to finish, it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is elegant and modern but not ostentatious or garish. The food and drinks were creative, expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. And I cannot say enough about the staff. From Samantha, the hostess; Tyler, the manager; Bill, our server; and Matt, the sous chef; to the young man serving the bread and the multiple other staff who kept our water glasses full, everyone was professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging. Samantha, in particular, handled a very aggressive and arrogant disgruntled man in the most diplomatic and professional manner. And this man was so aggressive that my husband and I almost intervened on Samantha’s behalf. But her diplomacy and professionalism did not waiver. To say she impressed us is an understatement. All in all, this was by far one of the best, if not the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. We will definitely return.“

“Went to Carrabba’s for the first time to dine in. The ambience was nice, the service was excellent and the food was nice and hot! Just the way I like it. I was starving when I arrived and my food was up and ready in short order. Impressive! My waiter, Josh, was amazing! He had other tables to wait on, but he made us feel like we were the only ones. I think I’ll be spending a lot more time dining in. Carrabba’s exceeded all of my expectations! Great work guys!“

“We had a nice table outside. Service and food were spot on. The only issue was the noise level from the wine bar Nextdoor. They had a duo playing which while it was nice, was a bit loud for normal conversation. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our dining experience.“

“We visit ballast point often and finally tried this place out, it’s been a must at each visit since. Their fish and chips are mine and my husbands favorite and each one of their soups are equally delicious! We just recently tried their ice which did not disappoint!! There’s free parking and designated restaurant parking, great views of Tampa, and a nice dock to walk down before or after your meal. We can’t wait to come back!“

“We arrived around 1430 on a Monday. It was not that busy, and it took a very long time to get our first drink, and the wait continued with the meals. I only saw 2 waiters, which it was not enough to satisfy the demand, hence the long wait on service. The good thing is the view: excelent ocean relaxing view that's why I keep coming back! I didn't like is that they allowed animals. I love dogs, and I own one, but there was a couple that brought their dog with no mouth restraint, and it was barking a lot. Plus, it was standing on top of the dining table, which I don't think should be allowed. It's very anti hygienic. “I have literally waited 15 years to have this meal! The Shells in Miami closed around 2008/2009, and it was my absolute favorite restaurant - I used to go with my family at least once a month, and always looked forward to the barrel of peanuts, Shark Attack drink, and a hefty portion of snow crab legs while being surrounded by the underwater/fishing themed decor. When I came to this Shells location in Tampa, it was like I was transported back in time! This place has kept its cute marine decor and still upholds the same quality of food I obsessed over all those years ago. Since this was such a special occasion, I opted for a smorgasburg meal. We started with the Fried Calamari, crisped to golden perfection, which I washed down with a delicious Piña Colada. As a second appetizer, I had the Clam Chowder, which was so good and chock full of nice big chunks of clam meat in a creamy, salty soup base. For my entree, I had the Seafood Pasta, an incredible dish which came with a side of garlic toast to sop up all the cream sauce afterwards. I got a half pound of steamed Snow Crab legs on the side, which were the food I was most excited to have but was the only thing I was slightly let down by - the crab legs were fresh and meaty, but I could tell they had been frozen because the body meat was very cold. Nonetheless, my meal was amazing and my only regret is not saving room for dessert! Next time, I'll order the Shark Attack, try the Shrimp and Crab Dip, and get a bigger bowl of the Clam Chowder...and maybe wear some bigger pants!“

“I use to really like the Salt Shack rum runners. They changed the way they make it. Our table ordered 4 rum drinks. All of them were different. One was good three were bad, one was even made with coconut rum. I tried to call and ask if this was the new way. They do not answer their phone. One more chance“

“On a recommendation from the Comfort Suites staff down the street I gave them a try. Wow they are right! Food is songbook, nice portion size and fair price. The Pad Kee Mao or Drunken Noodles were perfect. The right amount of sauce, not swimming in it, and the proportions of items to noodles was well balanced. Wish I had more time to go back. Owners are a husband and wife team and she is from Thailand. Cannot get more authentic than that.“

“Overall, this restaurant has a great atmosphere, friendly service and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Parking is easy and free. I would like to point out a few things that made this experience a little less enticing. My old fashioned was in a very heavy, medium-sized glass, which made the pour look very small. It just felt odd to drink from this glass as an avid consumer of this style of drink. Also, the large ice cube actually melted entirety before I could finish it which I have never had happen before. I literally walked from the bar to my table and before my steak arrived the cube was gone, which watered down my cocktail. I'm not sure if they use half size cubes, but there was plenty of room in that glass for a full sized cube to make that drink better. The drink tasted fine, but using a shorter, lighter glass with a large cube would make it more consistent with the swanky style of that cocktail.Another thing that was odd, was we ordered the lobster topped steak special for the night at $48. It came out with a full plate of french fries, like a meal from a diner. It may just be my opinion, but if we are going to order a meal that is $50, some elevated sides to accompany lobster may be more appropriate than fries. They were cold, and the steak needed more seasoning, so that didn't help either. I did have the filet mignon prepared medium rare and it was perfect. Again, it could have also had more flavor to the meat, but for $46 it was great with a loaded baked potato and Béarnaise sauce.The best part was the lemon cheesecake with raspberry sauce. It was refreshing and delicious. I definitely recommend that with an espresso martini. It was a little on the creamy side, but made well to accompany a dessert.Overall, this restaurant is perfect to celebrate a special occasion or grab a bottle of wine from their huge selection. It just doesn't compare steak wise to other more elevated restaurants in the area. The menu selections were very diverse with many different options, that they didn't really specialize in one thing.“

“Costanera Tampa is a hidden gem located in the Carrollwood area. We came in for date night to experience authentic Peruvian Cuisine, which, in my opinion, will knock your socks off.I had the Lomo Saltado ( beef filet) cooked in Peruvian spices, and soy sauce (gluten-free soy sauce is available) was absolutely delicious. This is traditionally made with regular soy sauce, so if you have Celiacs Disease, it is best to inform them so they can make it with the gluten-free soy sauce instead. Although I did have the cilantro rice, I learned that it is not gluten-free after having eaten some (it says on the menu there is beer in it). Steer clear of that rice if you have a gluten allergy and opt for the white rice that is traditionally served with it. It is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted and I highly recommend it. I also skipped the French fries because of this FYI. My husband had the seafood dish Pescado lo Macho, which was a spicy gravy covering fish, shrimp, calamari, and mussels. This also was an amazing dish, I would say 5/5 for both.They also have great cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. Their pricing is really good and you get a lot of food. The restaurant is pretty big and spaced out. They have live music many nights. We actually came in on one of the nights. There was live music, and it was fantastic. Everyone was super nice at Costanera, especially the owner and his wife. The food is truly authentic Peruvian Cuisine in every sense of the word right down to the ingredients. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date nights, girls' nights, or any kind of fun night or lunch.The restaurant is located in a strip mall almost right across from the Whole Foods (you can't miss it), and there is ample parking. Below is what we had.? Peruvian Ceviche?Lomo Saltado (mine was made with gluten-free soy sauce)?Pescado a lo Macho?these came with a side of rice. We both got cilantro rice. I just found out this is not gluten-free?Sea scallops prepared tableside?Inca Kola? Sangria and mojito“

“The food was delicious.We had a boil that had green & blue mussels, 2.5 lbs of snow crab legs, sausage, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes n corn, Mr n Mrs crab seasoning, and medium heat. Nothing was over or under cooked - tricky with a boil sometimes. Our waiter was also tending bar and didn't miss a beat. And the atmosphere allowed for conversation. We have no complaints.“
