“Okay I wanted my mom to try a different fried Chicken other than KFC. I found this place on Yelp because it was on my way home. The reviews were good when it came to the chicken the sides not so much. So the first thing I noticed is that no one spoke to me when I walked in for an uncomfortable amount of time. The place is very small but there are about five people and an L-shape kitchen area. The cashier was new so I understood her reluctance because she was putting together an order behind the counter. A customer actually had to say, "Hey there's somebody here who wants to order." I ordered the 5 piece all dark, just chicken special $6.99. I added a side of green beans which was okay, nothing special. The premium order of collard greens was so spicy that I couldn't even close my mouth. It was ridiculous. People should be allowed to add their own spiciness level to their collard greens. I didn't finish them I didn't want them and I threw them away. So all in all, I will be back because 20 minutes later after I got home my chicken was still crispy and boy was it yummy!.“
“As one of the only restaurants on property, this place has to hold a heavy burden. That burden is well carried here! The onion rings are spectacular, and when I asked "How is the coleslaw?" Grace responded, "Honey, there ain't nothing to that stuff, get the onion rings." She was right! Those Onion rings were TOP NOTCH! I personally had the Commons Double-Stack Turkey, (great, the meat was delicious and the bacon cooked perfectly, with texas-toast and fresh lettuce and tomatoes.) and I had the salmon BLT, the fish was delicious and paired well with the Garlic Aioli. The setting is beautiful and overlooking the lake at Stone Mountain cannot be beat! The staff is kind and the service is impeccible. I'm just sad that this park is falling into obscurity, more people used to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding area, and now it seems like most of the traffic is just for golf.“
“Ms. Pat's Southern Bistro in Stone Mountain offers an unforgettable soul food experience. From the moment we stepped in, the warm hospitality set the tone. The menu boasts classic Southern dishes cooked with love and authenticity. The fried chicken was a crispy delight, the collard greens rich and flavorful, and the cornbread had that perfect homemade touch.“
“I'm shocked by some of the reviews. Of course I completely agree their hrs should be updated on Google as it is a total inconvenience to come to a place that says they are open only to find out they are closed. This has happened to me a few times with them however this is a family-owned business with elders who may not be that tech savvy to even update Google. Idk I guess I believe in giving grace the same way God gives us as we are not perfect by any means, not one of us.Now be advised I stick to the basics (Collard greens, mac & cheese, baked chicken or smothered porkchops) and they neverrrrr miss on their food for me. The prices are VERY reasonable especially that lunch plate and as a God fearing woman I LOVE how they always have gospel music playing to set the atmosphere. I recently stopped eating meat and even their veggie plate is a reasonable price with a handy portion of their veggies. Now every now and then I get a little jealous because when I come in with my man he be requesting stuff and the lady gives it to him but when I come in by myself and request the same thing she say she can't do it? I still love yall though?“
“Eating at Huskers has never disappointed. Fun place to take the kids and visitors for breakfast-all-day menu. Meals come out of the kitchen relatively quickly even when the dining room is busy. Their chicken and waffles situation never disappoints and the wait staff is kind.Kid-friendliness: Side of scrambled eggs and a highchair - Huskers was happy to oblige my baby boy!“
