“O-ku has wonderful sushi! Out server, Brittany, went above and beyond for our daughters birthday. Super friendly, a complimentary appetizer and mochi for dessert! Amazing. It is SO COLD inside, so prepare for that!! Otherwise a wonderful spot with great food.“

“Everything was good just not outstanding. For the price I need outstanding food. Also the waiter Mark seemed to just be interested in up selling. Felt inauthentic but service was good. Not sure I will be back was good to check out and see if it was worth the 4.7 stars and for me it was not. I love sushi and have it in many cities. I don't need to comeback. Off to find a great sushi place next time I am in town.“

“Had a special dinner date here for my birthday! They made me feel so special with such a gorgeous interior and attentive service. The food was the most incredible I ever tasted and that omakase was actually so filling. They were generous with quality and portion everything was amazing!! I definitely recommend the A5 NY Strip aburi and the Martini with the caviar bump!“

“The food was great and the service was exceptional. Compared to Hayakawa, Mujo seems to have a bit more of a modern take. The ambience was moody and the restaurant was constantly buzzing with conversation and laughs. I loved the presentation, the staff, and the quality.“

“We found this place after a long 6 hour drive from FL and wanting sushi. Not being from the area, we were unsure where to park, but figured it out pretty quickly and the restaurant validated for 2hrs. Note...remember your car tag number or you'll be walking back to get it! We ordered several items, but the star at the table was the Sukiyaki + Mini Chirashi and a side of certified A5 Wagu Beef. This meal blew my daughter's mind! Everything we ate was delicious, service was excellent and we even struck up a great conversation with Johnathan who was working the front area. We were served food that memorable, and I'm so glad we found this gem! If you're in the area and looking for great food, & wonderful service, stop in and you won't regret it!“

“Really special experience, unmatched in Atlanta. Pricey, obviously, but it almost transcends dining. The food quality can't be overstated. Sake recs were top notch. The kind of "above and beyond" service you only get at a place like this. The chef is so personable and engaging.“

“Have been getting COVID-19 omakase with Yasu! And I cannot recommended it enough! Every single little detail is not missed even though it is take out. By far one of the best Omakase take in Atlanta currently for it’s price. The amount of food is easily 2-3 times the other omakase and yet the same quality. ❤️“

“I'm not sure how this does not have a higher rating - we landed here on a time crunch, after trying to visit another establishment that was not moving fast. We are so glad we tried Salaryman! Great, welcoming staff, chill atmosphere, and delicious food. The rock shrimp app was perfect, my guava cocktail amazing, and our main meal absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend.“

“Celebrated my sister's birthday here, and they certainly made it special. The whole restaurant sang her happy birthday and they brought her complimentary Mochi ice cream. Everything we ordered was amazing! All the fish was so fresh and the Okonomiyaki was to die for!! Will definitely be coming back!“

“I loved this place! As someone who is trying to eat more vegetarian foods, this has numerous options (although, it's mostly tofu). I came here with a couple of friends and we got a few different dishes to try. The curry in their dishes is flavorful. It's a casual dining spot (fast casual). The lady at the front desk is so accommodating!“

“I've been in here a few times for late night cocktails and small bites. I haven't had a bad thing yet. The cocktail menu is lovingly crafted by the in-house bartenders. They're more than happy to explain their methodology and engage you in conversation. It's a fairly small location and the skewers are grilled right in front of you. A very neat spot in the Virginia Highlands were stopping in“

“This place reminded me of the izakayas I visited in Japan - same interior decor, style, and of course, the food! The okonomiyaki with noodles was delicious. Others in the group I went with enjoyed their ramen and skewers as well. The Izeko jelly sparkling sake (yuzu) was delicious and refreshing. They didn't have the yuzu chuhai I originally wanted but offered orange instead...and I was handed half an orange and a citrus juicer to prep it myself which was an entertaining experience. Wasn't quite the yuzu chuhai or highball I loved while I was in Japan but the other food and drinks were great! There is a separate alcove in the front for groups that requires shoes to be taken off. There is plenty of parking available as this restaurant is located in a little plaza of sorts.“

“I enjoy the traditional bento lunch here. It is exactly what you expect. I will add a Maki roll, soup or agadeshi tofu to mix it up a bit. Service is cool. Izakaya vibes. Great lunch meeting spot.Parking: Small parking lot behind the restaurant. Other than that, good luck!“

“Great place for Thai. Restaurant is close to my office, so I have had lunch there quite a few times. Lunch service is fast and never overcrowded for lunch. Prices are in line for the area and may seem a little high but not for the Emory location.“

“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

“Stopped in for dinner on vacation with my wife and two children. We were all incredibly impressed. We had the calamari, fried rice, and a few rolls; all of them were excellent. Teddy was fantastic at making suggestions and made the experience even more enjoyable.“

“I have been living in Atlanta for 7 months and I have been getting circle poke every week without missing it. Everything about that place is amazing. They also have the best kimchi I’ve ever had. The only thing that I would like them to add would be cream cheese to their menu.“

“One of the best sushi spots in Atlanta. Quality fish and rolls, great friendly service with a smile. Quick service since it’s such a small spot. And they have gluten free options! Yay!Kid-friendliness: They were also accommodating for our child’s birthday party even arriving an hour prior to their lunch break“

“Stopped in just before a Shen Yuen performance...decided 5o stop in because it looked so inviting, vivacious colorw that pop and a cleanliness you can see and feel from outside the eatery. As we ordered, the cashier was suoer helpful with menu options and offered us ice cream samples which were to die for[a purple, caramel tasting icecream] then in no time at all we were being served our meals at our tables and it was exhibit worthy.... live the staff's friendliness, the taste of authentic raw sushi ? ? and the vibe that you feel within the Sukoshi house.“

“Value, value, value. There's nothing that gets this foodie's heart ticking like tasty food at a great price point. Yes, this is fast casual dining, but it's done well with a healthy serving size that won't leave you hungry at the end. My husband and I each ordered our own teriyaki bento boxes, which come with a few pieces of California roll, rice, and a choice of two sides. I was surprised at how well my salmon teriyaki turned out. It was quite tender (save a few thinner parts long the sides, which were expectedly drier) and I was most surprised by the fact that there were two small fillets atop my rice. Talk about value! I wish I could tell you about my husband's chicken teriyaki but after his first bites, he quietly angled his plate away from me and shoveled it into his mouth until there was nothing left.I suppose that's saying something. There were a few minor dings here and there. The rolls, for instance, aren't true California rolls since there's nothing inside except imitation crab meat. My husband deigned to order a side salad, which turned out to be a clamshell Styrofoam container filled with chopped iceberg lettuce and a few julienned carrots throughout. No other veggies, no dressing, just lettuce. But now that we've learned our lesson, I hope that keeps you from making the same mistake and ordering from the more exciting parts of their menu. Anything with the teriyaki sauce would probably be a good bet. It's isn't too sweet and has a fair resemblance to the Sarku teriyaki one might find at a mall food court (the pinnacle of teriyaki in my book).Service is brisk at the counter, and the food was ready mere minutes after we'd chosen our table and visited the (clean) restroom. There's no street parking available, but there's a decently sized garage/lot a few doors down.“

“This has been our go to spot for almost 5 years! Tucked in the cute and cozy food stalls of EAV so happy to see them outlive the pandemic. The sushi burritos are great to share and just such a genius idea! The nachos are also good, sushi donuts. Everything is always fresh and made for order. Super friendly staff, very easy to order and pick up. A poke burri Stan“

“I went there for the very first time with my mom and my daughter. They’ve got the best brunch menu. If you’re in midtown just go there for brunch. They do serve it on the weekends. Also, one thing I must have to say that they've trained their staffs really well. There staffs are the best ones indeed. The girl (young asian or latino I forget her name) took our order she was so humble, she asked us if it’s our first time being there, explained the menu in details and helped us to choose the best one. They well maintain hygiene. Overall food and service was top notch. 10/10 would recommend a visit here.“

“Very good. I have always eaten at Teriyaki Madness at least once when I’ve visited Vegas. Thrilled to see one open in Atlanta. So glad it wasn’t a let down. Spicy chicken was tender, flavorful, and had the right amount of heat. A good and much healthier alternative to burgers and fried food.“

“This was absolutely our favorite Sushi restaurant in the area. Over the last few months they have been virtually impossible to order from via any online order channel or over the phone. It sounds like they are getting pushed out due to higher rents in Toco Hills, I hope they can find a new location nearby.“

“My Love and I visited this restaurant on a whim after seeing Jurassic Park. Wonderful decision! While always a sushi lover, never tried a hand roll. Had the spicy tuna one...superb! Also had Wonton soup and split the Hawaiian sushi roll ( after the waitress recommended. She was Great btw!). Will be going back! We've found a jewel!“

“Came in for a quick bite - we had already eaten dinner elsewhere. The reason we came was for dessert - I really like mango sticky rice and wanted to try theirs! I did like it, it had nice balance of flavors. I’m still most partial to Ruby Chows mango sticky rice, but this was a good runner up.My husband got the spring rolls for a snack and didn’t care for it.he was disappointed they didn’t have spicy mustard. He said he wouldn’t come back.Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options, but many meat entrees. The mango sticky rice is vegetarian! :)Parking: It can be hard to find (free) parking around here - you can if you go into neighborhood and walk. But most of the parking lots around are paid (and hefty prices! On weekends we saw signs of people asking for $20 to park!) luckily we bike many places so we don’t have to worry about car parking.Wheelchair accessibility: You have to climb some stairs to get up to the dining area, so that would make it hard for a wheelchair impaired person. I’m honestly not sure if they have elevator as we didn’t need so I didn’t look for it“

“Update 2024: Original review still mostly holds up. This is probably my family's favorite place to go regularly for casual sushi, though I do find the original midtown location superior to this one when I am able to get there. My main issue with this now is that it is small and with a very limited number of 4+ seat tables. It seems like it has gotten more popular, which is great, but when the outdoor seating isn't in play, be prepared to wait for a table especially if your party is larger than 2.Original Review: Really good Japanese food. They have good sushi and sashimi but what really sets them apart is their deeper Japanese fare. They have Ramen, but also Soba, Katsu, and Okonomyaki (and a good Takoyaki app). Back to the Sushi, it's always good to check their specials board (unfortunately located past most of the tables next to the Sushi bar) as they regularly have things like Toro/Otoro, Uni, and fresh Wasabi. It will cost you but is worth it if you are an aficianado.“

“Really good customer service, and for inexpensive food court food, this is shockingly good. The noodles in particular are unusual but addictive. They have rather good customer service too; you see them really making an effort when the line gets long to make sure everyone's fairly served. The atmosphere is never going to impress - it's in a food court. This is a place where I'll normally eat a few times per visit to the city.Vegetarian options: I don't eat meat, and they usually have several rolls, noodles, and other things I'll like.“

“My best friend and I make it our business to eat here at least once a year. There has not been another restaurant that could make sushi as well as Sushi Ave does in our area, so the 1.5 hour drive is well worth it! Their takoyaki, udon and unagi don are to DIE for! ♡“

“We went during the day and the lighting was very low. We initially thought the place was closed. They turned up the lighting once we were seated. The sushi was good and pics are provided. The tea wasn't good at all. The tea was like a blend of tea and coffee. The service was OK. I will probably come back and do takeout.“

“Fresh Sashimi Combo B was presented in a fancy boat, well worth $35, especially if you are sharing in a small group. Chirashi Don was generously and wonderfully prepared too. Chicken Katsu Curry Don was as authentic and crispy as it is appreciated with its generous proportion. Staff was courteous despite us dinning at odd hours on a Sunday afternoon. They seem to offer some Taiwanese bubble tea as well, which we didn't have a chance to try but would love to if we come back around that area of the greater Atlanta area again.“

“I came here for lunch, and it was pretty good! They have several options for lunch combos and you save about $3-4 by doing the combo. There’s pretty limited options for the sushi you can get at lunch, so I’d probably go again but get some of the specialty rolls. The inside of the restaurant was really cute and they were very quick to get the food out. Overall a good experience and I would try it again!“

“My husband and I wanted some mid day lunch so we walked down Ponce De Leon and stumbled across this Asian Fusion restaurant. We ordered a super crunchy roll, chicken/shrimp lo mein, chicken & shrimp Pad Thai, soup and salad, and the steak (strip) teriyaki with fried rice. We also ordered some cocktails Rock you like a hurricane and a Strawberry cocktail that were pretty good. It was very good and the lunch prices were great. The ginger salad was amazing. There weren’t alot of people there so customer service was good. There was also an up charge to add shrimp to the lo mein of $5.49 but it came out as a side of shrimp fried rice our server was new, he did well but was a little confused at times about what food was coming out. We ordered the Pad Thai to go but it came out at the beginning of the meal. Overall, the food was really good and I would go back.Parking: Parking was in a plaza, piety spots available at lunch time.Kid-friendliness: Has indoor and outdoor seating, kids welcome.“

“The food was delicious. Our chef Greg was amazing. Very confident and I saw why. Friendly, talented, knowledgeable a real class act. This was the first time we were offered fresh lemon on our seafood. Teriyaki too. The food was seasoned to your liking.Large delicious portions. The soup was good too. The salad had a half inch of water in the bowl. Pre made and refrigerated, not good. The young girl who sat us was extremely rude. I did let her know and kindly excused her. I don't accept disrespect from anyone. She never returned as requested.Hopefully she was spoken to by the manager.I would recommend eating here if Greg is the chef.“
