“This place is a must stop. The food was so delicious. Worth the wait!!!There were over 20 dishes on the table and you eat family style. Get there early before the line gets long. It's cash only place, there is an ATM inside and the flat rate to eat was $30. I left completely stuffed and so satisfied.Vegetarian options: Max and cheese, potatoe salad, corn bread, black eye peas, string beans, two different kinds of potatoes, candy yams and pasta dishes.“

“Had a great experience. Our server Serenity went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend and the experience wouldn’t have been the same without Serenity and her knowledge about the menu and food. Thank you so much for making our night special!“

“All around fantastic dining experience! Great cocktails and wine selections, impeccable service, and fantastic food. We tried the carving board and the game and fish specials and were delighted to be introduced to new proteins prepared by such a talented chef. Would absolutely recommend!“

“I took a long time to finally get to Husk, and I would say it was worth the wait. I will definitely go back the next time I take a trip to Savannah. If you are looking for just regular old commercial southern food like fried chicken and collard greens and mac and cheese, this is not the place for you, that would be cracker barrel. If you are looking for real deal old school traditional heavy southern flavors but in a modern upscale setting, then this is the place you want to be.“

“Meals and service were quick. Fries green tomatoes and horseradish sauce was really good. Flounder was good because it was not a lot of breading. Red rice was also very tasty. Chili was good but dog was over cooked. Server was great and service was fast.“

“Wonderful food and service. Shrimp and grits were delicious. The scallops cooked to perfection. The onion soup was great. The Cesar salad was great although the biscuit croutons were a bit of a miss and Parmesan cheese was bit hard and not fresh. Our table was a bit small for 5 and the room a bit loud. However, overall it was a great place.“

“This was my first trip to Savannah. Always look for the “best of” and indeed this spot lived up to the hype. The house made sour dough with habanero butter was devine. I started with the granita oysters which were so tasty, perfect balance. For my entree had the lamb sausage which was the best of all. Highly recommend 1540 and Trish who was helpful, on point, and really made the southern hospitality shine through.“

“Fantastic food selection. Clean tidy place. Packed with lots of locals and travelers and we understand why. Atmosphere mostly just due to layout in light of the crowd and watched many women just use the men's room due to wait so suggest y'all just go for gender neutral on those now!Appetizer (fried green tomatoes) arrived only 2 minutes before the meals (shrimp and grits plus corned beef hash and eggs). Was a busy brunch time.... Honestly can't wait to go back again one day cause the food was outstanding“

“Food was wonderful and the service perfect. The standouts were the brisket, fried shrimp and oysters, brussel sprouts, Cole slaw, gumbo and crab stew. So, basically everything we ordered! I actually ordered the slaw but once my husband tasted it and liked it so much he took it from me.Also shout out to Jamal our waiter. Great recommendations from him.“

“My 4 star rating is not to say that the quality or taste of the food wasn't great. It's more about the limited selection of the menu. We were a group of 4 and really had a challenge to order something we were familiar or preferred. So, not any fault of the restaurant, but our mistake perhaps in not doing the research.“

“We were in Savannah for St Patrick’s Day & looking for a good soul food restaurant. We searched & stumbled onto 2 Chefs Gullah Geechee Soul Food. The food was awesome. I had the red rice, collards, Mac & cheese & fried fish. We really enjoyed our meals & we will definitely be back next time we visit Savannah.“

“Their food was delicious, we had the seafood omelette and the whiting and grits. I will be making this a regular spot when I’m in Savannah. The only place I’ve eaten that has not made my stomach turn. That mean the food was well prepared with cleanliness. Great job.“

“The atmosphere is very dark and sexy located at the bottom of the Alida Hotel. The service was friendly, but sometimes could lack attention. But the food quality surpasses everything, and it is definitely worth a visit. The prices are not that high you would spend just as much money as going to a P.F. Chang's or a Cheesecake Factory. This was a little bit too salty for me but for the appetizer we got CRISPY CALAMARI BANANA PEPPERS, CALABRIAN CHILIS, PARSLEY, CILANTRO, ROSEMARY AIOLI. My main entree was the best burger I have ever had. It was the first time I could eat a burger without it sliding off the bun. From the bun to the sauce to the cheese and pickles everything was perfection. RHETT SMASH BURGER TWO BEEF PATTIES, AMERICAN CHEESE, RED ONION, PICKLES, NORFOLK SAUCE, OLD BAY FRIES. And dessert was just okay for me to much cream not enough banana. BANANA PUDDING WAFERS, VANILLA PUDDING, CREAM“

“Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re debating it! It was delicious. My husband and I stopped 2 days in a row for their peel and eat shrimp. The butter & their seasoning to use is to die for. The shrimp are large and cooked perfectly to peel easily. The drinks were good, the food was great (we got corn chowder, Cobb salad, and the Cajun tortellini). All very good and our service was good. We definitely will come back. We may be stopping a third day in a row for the peel and eat shrimp to go for the drive home“

“Delicious and creative food ! We chose this place while visiting Savannah and loved it. Service was wonderful and ambience fun and upbeat. Tables were a bit small and close together. There was an active bar so lots of people and some noise. Overall great meal and nice place.“

“Awesome experience. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was cute. I had the crab cake Benedict and my daughter had the traditional eggs Benedict (she had poured pepper all over it in the picture, didn’t come like that lol). Both were absolutely amazing and flavorful. Only thing that was a slight disappointment was the French onion soup. Not very flavorful in comparison to the main courses:)“

“My first experience with a Fritaffle. Nice spin on an omelette, but cooked in a waffle iron. Hard to choose between a side of smashbrowns or biscuit and jam.Biscuits are made in-house and are big and fluffy.Excellent biscuit and sausage gravy with a peppery kick. Personally didn't care for the vanilla sweet cream cold brew, but other people with me enjoyed it, so if you don't like sweet coffee, you may want to try something else.“

“Place was super good. Getting it to-go I got smaller portions than I expected. I absolutely recommend the fried chicken, mash potatoes and collard greens. The grits were not that good. Overall I would come back, but I wish they'd give me more for how much I paid.“

“This place is soo good but they absolutely did me dirty on a to-go order. ?I dined in with fam and got to go for another family member and they put the rinkiest dinkiest thigh/leg in the order. Like.... shockingly small. I felt real bad for my mom. She did say it was delicious though. ??“
“Hats off to the manager! What an awesome place, great food, atmosphere and staff!!! Our food took longer than we had hoped but the manager didn’t hesitate and made it right with his outstanding customer service!! Definitely recommend this place and will return on my next trip!“

“Just ate at this location and I’ve never ever such good food from this place - I go to the one in Pooler and they can’t even compare to this Savannah location! The manager was very present and so sweet, The staff was very well spoken and very polite! 1000/10 will recommend this location over any other location - Definitely worth the 30 minute drive.“

“My first time, taken by a friend that has been there over the past 5 years. It was good, but I would try it again before I finished my assessment. The menu was short and varied - great. The service was prompt and friendly. The presentation of the food was well done. However, my Pork Chop was a tad bit gristly. The blackened tuna was very blackened, which I like, but not my friend. Overall nice/great. Atmosphere was perfect. One thing - the noise was horribly loud when the place was full. They have too many hard surfaces that bounce the soundwaves, and it was noticeably hard to hear. I will try again. I'm giving at a 3.75“

“I have been a regular customer for years. Always friendly and I have always enjoyed their menu. The brunch menu and lunch menu are always great! The dinner menu is a little different but offers some wonderful entrees. I think they have the best crab cakes in town.“
