“Found this place after my wife searched for feel good atmosphere and food, definitely a hidden gem and am jealous for the residents around that can eat here whenever they want, it’s a good spot to get a home like meal or from those that have departed this world that used to make food like this.“
“Ok. Found this place in a Yelp search under "Korean Restaurants" and I got to say, it's not a Korean restaurant. It's a local plate lunch place. A good one at that. Even though I live nearby, I haven't tried this place before. I had the mix plate (forgot to take a picture). This is definitely a place to come back to. Things to know. It's take out only. Parking is limited but there's nearby parking and even the small parking lot in front has a quick turnover.“
“This place is fantastic! I was on my way to swap meet on Wednesday morning where my cousin suggested we eat here. I had never been and since I was visiting back home, I went with her suggestion. The food, perfect. The service, perfect. The atmosphere for just enjoying your food, perfect.I had the #58 where the guy put it likea little bit of breakfast, lunch and dinnerand that was spot on.Highly recommend trying it here“
“The food is soooo delicious! Well seasoned! The firecracker chicken is spicy, amazing! The macaroni salad with mayonnaise, Brazilian style. I also ordered the pork with onion and mushrooms, delicious!!! The portion is very large. The only catch is that take-away only.“
“Hole in the wall restaurant with amazing food! The kalua pork is so tender and flavorful. The nachos looked amazing (regretting not getting those) and the carne asada street tacos were so good! Get the combo 1 and street tacos with hot sauce and thank me later!“
“Aiea location-Saturday morning breakfast stop that was absolutely amazing! The walk-up ordering was fast and we were greeted with a wonderful smiling face to take our order. The food- fast, fresh, and delicious. We had the guava French toast, Uncle Boy’s waffle, Kahula pork fried rice burrito along with mac salad, fired chicken, and pickled mango- I cannot say which was better as every bite was flavorful and well prepared.A definite place for an affordable delicious meal.“
“I stopped here for some pork hash and manapua. I love this place. The pork has id way larger than the ones at 7-11 and about the same price. The manapua was ono as well. Service was fast and friendly. Parking can be a little tight, but I've always been able to find a stall. I meant to take pictures but ate all of the pork hash and manapua before I got home. I git no self control.“
“OMG has always had the best salmon salad on the island except for this morning. We have always purchased the salad in the evening. It is very crispy and beautifully presented like the photo. The salad this morning was not healthy nor edible. It was unevenly salted, with some very salty pieces and the salmon was chopped, or shredded into soggy oily pieces. The salad seemed to be covered with the fried oil. Considering the salmon salad is one of the more pricy items on the menu, there should be consistency on the dish.“
“Been meaning to try Guava Smoked. The restaurant itself is small. Drive-inn vibes with a few tables in the small space at Downtown Pearlridge. The person at the counter seemed like they were the owner and were very friendly. Ordered a mix plate with boneless chicken thighs and pork with mac salad and smoked fried rice. Also ordered the smoked salmon belly bowl. Prices were very reasonable. Our order came out quickly, and served to our table. The meat was very tender and tasty. Great smoke flavor but not overpowering. The fried rice was really really good, and the amount of meat chunks included in the rice was almost a 3rd choice. Smoked salmon belly was also really good. Mac salad was ok on its own but worked well mixed in with bites of meat/rice. Would definitely come back here. I've been missing out. My only wish is they had actual bbq sauce too instead of sambal and chili water.“
“This place isn't fancy, it's even a bowling alley. But their food - oh so yummy! We are somewhere else but I had to have dessert from here. I picked up a huge slice of Crunchy Strawberry cake. Not sweet just creamy and light. The crunchy outside is just right to give it that dessert sweet. The slice is so big I had to put it in the fridge for part 2.“
“I haven't been here in years. And it is exactly as I remember it. The weight is short don't let the line overwhelm you. The food is great. The only negative that I experience was the flies were flying on the ketchup bottle and the Shoyu bottles. A few times the fly landed on my husband's water cup. Plus the type of music they play was a very disturbing.“
“I've eaten there for a long time now and only now doing a review! If I could give them more stars, I would. Aside from having kanak attacks from there ginormous servings of fried noodles, shoyu pork and rice ( and Mac potato salad) plate lunches years ago, I have catered food for a family member's celebration of life service. The food was well loved by all who came. Their andagi is so good, too!I must add that their pork nishime is the best. My mom used to make it; but since she's passed away, I could never find someone who makes it like her...until Ige's!Their desserts are so good that it's hard to walk away with just one Highly recommend!“
“My husband and I are sushi lovers and upon printing our photos downstairs, we decided to get something quick to eat. What would unfold after would span a three day consecutive streak of buying food here. Located in downtown pearlridge food court (next to the movie theaters) it is a quick stop for lunch if you have sushi or fish cravings like I do. The food is absolutely delicious and its freshness speaks volumes. There is a full menu or you can buy the ready made grab and go bentos that they have available at the counter. This comes with Miso soup as well which is included with the purchase. It's the perfect lunch spot to enjoy food with a friend or with your family when you are spending time at the pearlridge mall.“
“We ordered the shrimp curry and the orange chicken plate lunches. The food was vry gd. Both of us could not eat the whole reg plate lunch cause there was just too much food. We both had enuf for 2 more meals on ea playe lunch. / This is a place where we know the food is gd and plentiful.“
“A nice local breakfast place. The Trio of meat was delicious, the pancakes (we had chocolate chip and blueberry) were fresh and yummy, and our eggs were made to order. They used fresh fruit in the pancakes, way better than IHOP. The hot chocolate was also pretty good but the coffee was subpar. Overall if you are looking for a good local breakfast, I would highly recommend this place.“
“Very attentive and friendly service. Christmas Eve early dinner with senior citizens. lol. “We plates” were perfect to share. We had the kalbi, cheese pork Katsu, mandoo, lechon, Korean fried chicken and fried saimin. All freshly prepared and well seasoned. Beer selections were interesting!“
