“When ever we have a family gathering and I just don't feel like cooking. My to go place is L&L Hawaiian Barbecue in Ewa next to Foodland. The food is really ono and the prices are great. The menu selection is huge with many local favorites like Chicken Katsu. They have the best Chicken Katsu sauce and very soft chicken on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Prices a great especially for catering. There is lots of parking, lots of room for social distancing inside if you like dinning in. No restrooms due to COVID, but there is a restroom on the far side of the mall next to the Shave Ice store. Don't forget to ask for the restroom code. Restaurant appears clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm glad this L&L made it throughout the pandemic. “Did a phone order and ordered their shrimp fried rice and crab ragoons. They said it'll be 10 minutes so that was enough time for us to head out the house and pick up. I remember always getting their fried rice in high school. Once we arrived, our plates were hot and ready. Fried rice was good. There weren't that many shrimp unfortunately but rice was still very good. Crab ragoons were okay. I felt the inside could've been cooked a little more. Lots of plate options to choose from so we'll for sure be back.“
“Every time I go the food is always delicious. I've heard crazy stories about Rats but I'm sure. Like any other eatery it's very difficult to keep the critters out. I'm sure they have an exterminator the food is delicious and I will always keep coming“
“Got two mixed plates so got to try the smoked meat, smoked chicken, hamburger steak, and chili. All the smoked items were definitely the highlight. I didn't care much for the chili and the hamburger steak. The chilis flavors were not the best and I definitely prefer brown gravy for my hamburger steak. I'd come back again but will definitely just get more smoked items - if it's in the name of the restaurant, stick to those items.“
“Thank God I used the Google Maps app to search for food after visiting Pearl Harbor and found this place. First, Joe is a delete to speak with. Kind, friendly, good story teller. Double-checked to ensure we liked spicy food because the spicy sausage was indeed “en fuego”. I ordered the ribs and a sausage to try. So thankful I did. Flavor explosion and then a very nice kick.The ribs fell off the bone when I picked it up. Perfect amount of smoke, although Joe said he left them a bit too long for his own taste. Also just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Just enough that it didn’t take away from the meat flavor. Good sweetness to it. The big surprise was the coleslaw. Some of the best I’ve had.This place was well worth the price and a damned gem on O’ahu!“
“I’ve been around the world eating great Korean food but there is nothing like Gina’s. From the moment you walk in you can tell everyone from the young gentleman working the cash register to the cook in the back or the owner the circles around you can tell each person is happy you stopped and ate at Gina’s, you can also taste it in their cooking. They make each meal like it’s in its own league, no mass cooking and heating older food I always have hot fresh cooked food when I come here and it’s amazing. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone that loves Korean or island food. You won’t be disappointed. Stop by here at least once a week and will continue to do so due to the great quality and customer service!Kid-friendliness: Amazing with kids!!!“

“We found this place on our way to the north shore via costco (for food pickup, totally worth it since u get a fair bit of Hawaiian local stuff there)Had the heart attack loco loco and shared it with my partner. was delicious, the beef brisket was smoky and a tad bit better than the pork belly. the combination was excellent and just enough gravy to make it a potent combo. We also got caramelized onions with it, worth it, should have also added the sautéed mushrooms (bot are an additional $, but worth the add).It's a small hole in the wall, but so so worth it. Just had a plate from ted's, and this was 10x better if not more“
“Elims has been apart of the Ewa beach shopping center for as long as I can remember. mom and pop shop, cardboard everywhere but still nicely intact, food counter is clean cold drinks are laid out nice and the banchan area is always filled. I thought to come here instead of pearls chain restaurant just to support local cuz id be sad to see them fold.I ordered the classic kalbi & meatjun combo. Now, the reviews may be right about the meatjun. It’s not the best, meat was kinda tough but flavor wise was ok, I’m all about having a good sauce to cover that so i ordered extra meat Jun sauce.Kalbi was freakin good. Way better than pearls because the marinate and smoky taste from the grill comes thru. It’s also not overly sauced up like some places, it just tastes like homemade kalbi cooked on a grill. You don’t need to get the meat Jun, but you gotta get the kalbi.4 sides: 2x mayo potato (always good lil sweet) noodles, and seaweed.
