“I like the people that work there most days, but tonight (I assume the manager) and one of her coworkers knew I was picking up an order, but were very involved with a conversation with their personal lives. They were more involved with their personal dating lives (or lack there of) than their jobs.If I was their manager, I would have fired them both on the spot. I have encountered so many people there that cared, those 2 are bringing that location down. Had I known they were working, I would have not ordered from them, just because of their narcissism.“

“A very cute cafe with a nice mix of different flavored drinks! Super cozy and I can see myself definitely being able to get some work done. “I have been here several times over the past year for "high tea." It is always amazing, from the food & service to the beautiful ocean and courtyard views. We celebrated our anniversary with friend from out of state and everything was wonderful. We all chose the Moana Classic Tea with finger sandwiches, sweet offerings, tropical sorbet and tea (we each chose a different flavor). A few of my favorites (this time) were the Ratatouille Tart and the Smoked Salmon Mousse Blini, but I really enjoyed them all.Our friend has a food allergy and our server was very accommodating. He made other suggestions to some of the sandwiches and all of the "exchanges" were fabulous. Each time we have been, the menu has changed, although most of the tea's are the same flavors (only 2 or 3 have changed). The quality of the food is the same (5 stars)I would definitely suggest Moana Surfer Rider - The Veranda at the Beachhouse for all of your special occasions.Parking: The Valet parking is free with validation of "High Tea" service. Otherwise, there is parking across the street at International Market Place garage (I am not sure what the current rates are).“

“Refreshing sugar cane juice in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii...Sugah Daddeh's Kane Juice used to be by the Starbucks by Anna Miller's. I saw the shop, but didn't have time. I told myself that I would return... especially because so many of my friends wrote reviews (Donna, Irene, Angel, Deborah, Gabriel, Rissa, Janice, Reuben, Tanyce, and Kyra).Today, I saw the new location at "Downtown Pearlridge". If you go to the mall, it's above Longs Drugs Store (that's where I usually park because it's covered). Go up the escalator, and the kiosk is by Guava Smoked, Hot Topic, and Aloha Salads. Looking at the menu, the Mason Jar is the best deal because you can get $2 off when you bring the jar back for a refill! I decided to get the Mean Buggah with blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and calamansi juice. It was really cool to watch the gal chop up the fruits (to fit the boba straw) right there!Mmm! The juice was NOT too sweet, but just right - and it felt healthy - especially after reading about the benefits of sugar cane juice!I'm looking forward to returning and trying the other flavors! “Passed this place by for months because I didn’t care for the “pro-Jesus” Bible thumping verse on the window outside but decided to overlook that this morning to see if it was as cute inside as it was outside and boy what an experience! Except for the Christian smut this place is a feast for the eyes and cute as HELL! Very cutesy but tastefully Sanrio/Harajuku oriented literally from top to bottom. My wallet was opening up all by itself. But on top of that the young man that took my order, after patiently waiting for me to finish taking pictures and videos was thoughtful, sweet, thorough and friendly. My mocha was spot on and although my orange cranberry scone was more biscuity than sconey there were a ton of other items on my list to try next time around including vegan options.What made this place stand out, though, was KINDNESS! There was an older, barefoot, unkempt man in a hospital gown that came into the store and ordered a coffee to go. He had trouble speaking and trouble walking but the young man took his order, served him and then came out to the door and opened it for him so he could walk out easily. When the same man came in later for a second cup of coffee the young man’s friend, who was also a customer, took note and got up and opened the door for him. THAT’s aloha! Put me to shame - I was kind of scared of that man. But those young people showed compassion and aloha. I love it and I’ll be back!“

“I stopped in for a quick bite for breakfast. There isn’t much seating so I suggest you plan for takeout and find somewhere near by to sit down to eat. I ordered the Waikiki Açaí Bowl and the Waikiki latte. The latte was more milk than coffee but it was still good. Açaí bowl was pretty big in size (two people could split it for a light breakfast) and had tons of fresh fruit. They are a little on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for.“

“Following super Yelper Nadine, I was in the Ala Moana area and decide to stop in on Aunty Gigi's Cafe. They are located on the corner of Keeaumoku and Young Streets, on the Ewa/Makai corner. You enter the parking from Young street. Nadine had glowing reviews of her purchases and I have to concur with her thoughts about Aunty Gigi's. They have been open for about a month and are in sort of a soft opening. Their smoothies and Acai bowl offerings/pricing are prominently displayed on the wall. The savory offerings, musubis and bentos are not yet listed but some are available. On this day the spam/egg musubi and the Kimbop were available as well as the meat Jun bento. This is a small operation so I had a chance to try the savory orders made as ordered. It was fun talking to Aunty Gigi as she prepared my order. She is very friendly and easy to converse with. Her "cafe" is compact, very clean as she totally gutted out the space brought in new equipment and fixtures. I took home the Kimbop, meat Jun and acai bowl, and also brought home one of the musubi to try, compliments of Aunty. The savory offerings are on the counter. When I went the first hour they were open Aunty was in the process of making the savory offerings. The shop is located on a path leading to the beach near the pink hotel in Waikiki. Definitely use the google pin to find it. The bowl was big enough for two of us to share. “Hidden gem. I really enjoyed my açai bowl. I got the Pā’ina Boat, it came in a papaya (technically wasn’t an açai bowl). It was super refreshing. Wish we tried more bowls here. The mango smoothie was nice and creamy. I wanted to try the Hawaiian ‘Awa (Kava) drink “known for its relaxing and calming effects” but I was driving. Highly recommend dropping by.“

“I am an açaí bowl addict. My wife is close behind. The Lanikai Juice açaí bowls are wonderful. I have been getting them there for several years and the consistency is amazing. What is even more impressive is the service. I go to the Kahala store but have found the service to be excellent when I have gone to the Lanikai Juice's other shops. The staff is mostly young. They are hardworking, conscientious and, very importantly to me, kind. Obviously, over the years the staff has turned over. But the quality of the employees and the product remains high regardless. This can't be an accident. Kudos to the owner.“

“While stopping to catch the last sunset of our trip we noticed a couple people walking by with shave ice and saw that Banan was located right off the sand and it was the perfect opportunity to grab another shave ice before leaving. Little did we know that this little beach shack was also driven by making a better environment and reducing carbon footprint all while reviving Hawaii's banana industry! Their frozen yogurt was all banana based and absolutely delicious, at first bite the subtle hint of banana had you think what was that? The more you indulge the more you find yourself addicted! “I was in the area and stopped by to get a smoothie. It was scorching hot out. I couldn't decide what to get. I used to always get the white gummy bear off their secret menu. I'm happy it's on the regular menu now. I guess for the summer they rolled out their tropical smoothies : lavaflow, watermelon breeze and pina colada. Those looked really good, but I eventually went with the mega mango. I love my mango drinks. It was actually really good. It's hard to guess with the smoothies at Jamba. Sometimes, the drinks are really sweet and sometimes the drinks are really tart depending on which one you get. This one was somewhere in the middle.“
