“Overall excellent. I always think the MaiTai's could be a little stronger but then that is just me! I can always get an extra dark rum to add! Our server was excellent and responsive to our request to go it slow! Beet salad with goats cheese was superb and my burger was cooked to perfection.“

“Fun little place to find up in the mountains. And wow the Portuguese stew was delicious and they make a mighty good bloody Mary. The woman that worked at the bar was also a delight to chat with... Took her a little time I think to trust us, I'm sure there's a lot of tourists that come through but everybody was very nice and friendly. It was a great stop and glad we had the experience.“

“We have to give it a 5*, Amazing food & atmosphere that was supported by great service. Extremely expensive...even for Hawaii. Try the fried rice as a shareable and the Tataki beef appetizer. Sunset views on the beach. Amazing property. If you are willing spend the equivalent of one night's lodging...it's a must dine.“

“JoJo's is a classic. Getting into this one is more difficult because the restaurant space is so small. They have additional covered seating nearby, but be warned, it is well loved by previous shave ice enthusiasts--it's sticky! Bring baby wipes or something for your hands and faces.“

“Came here every day on our trip and it was always great! Super friendly staff that were helpful with the food menu. Breakfast burritos (called breakfast melts on the menu) and oatmeal are always a go to and 5 star. One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had …seriously. Great coffee, cold brew, and bagel sandwiches! Limited seating with a small space and because it’s so busy it’s a little loud but sitting outside is beautiful. Loved the neighboring shops also. Looking forward to coming back next time. Mahalo!“

“We got there right when they opened and lined came in through... that's when you know it's good. It's been awhile since I was here but I was craving meat Jun (#1) so badly !If you're k-pop fans they were jamming some kpop.If you dine in there are a few tables to eat at! You have to bus your own tables, they have the dish station in the front to the left. They had the daily bread in Korean which was cool to just see something in Korean. The menu is so nicely written out, and it's in both English AND Korean which is cool to see.The staff is busy, but patient with all of us.3 veggies! Faves are jap chae, seaweed, bean sprouts.Parking: It's a mini outdoor shopping complex, so with a multitude of businesses depending on the time it could be crowded or you'll have to go around a few times to find a spot.“
“A couple of years ago I took a bottle of beer home with me to the mainland and sadly it exploded in my cellar! I messaged Thom and he said the next time I was in town, to stop by for a replacement. Well that day was today so I want to shout out Thom's great customer service and beer!“

“Awesome little place coming from the North through Waimea. After a long day and drive through Volcano’s National Park, this place hit the spot. ***CASH ONLY*** The two large Boston-style pizzas were delicious and filling. They also have a sonic crushed ice maker for their drinks! Great value and pricing for the whole family and there’s a few tables to sit inside. Ample parking on the side. Will definitely return!“
“Food truck located at the Midweek Farmer's Market (on Wednesdays). Definitely wish we knew about the ordering ahead, because it takes forever, but it's certainly worth the wait. The Reuben is unbelievably tasty. One of the best we've ever had. Pro tip: If you wanna make the most of your time, hit up Red Barn right when you get to the Market; place your order; and then bop around the market as there are some unique vendors that you can't find anywhere else. The people working the truck are super nice and friendly. Thank you“

“The best açaí ive ever had!! This is definitely an island gem . Must try them out . It’s a local family operated place offering up the best fruit desserts n snacks . For refreshing and “not too sweet” desserts go check them out! I had the drango fruit bowl minus granola the owner was kind enough to sub it out with extra fruits ???? every bite was magical!“

“Glad I dropped by this spot a few minutes away from the beach. I ordered the Twin fin burger and Tsunami fries. Both packed with flavor and have island/surf themed menu items in this tiny restaurant that can seat 8 people at most. I'll definitely come back again if I get the chance! Have to add that it was a bit pricey and spent around $27 for the double patty burger and Tsunami fries. Lastly the lady wasn't really helpful when I was trying to figure out the self order kiosk. For some reason the meal options didn't match the menu on the wall.“

“This place was incredible! The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the Waikoloa area. There is a huge beer selection to choose from, which means I'll have to return soon to continue sampling them all. Location is beautiful and easy to get to. The staff was fantastic when my son fell down and scraped his knee. They gave him bandages and a toy. I can't say enough about how great this place is.“

“Friend invited me for lunch, and I am now addicted to these sandwiches. Purchased a whole pita falafel for $20 with all sauces offered. Filled pita with veggies and multiple sauces made for a filling Saturday lunch. Family run business. Very sweet people. Offer gluten-free pita for $2 more. Definitely worth it. Everything made fresh and quickly. I've already promoted to more friends to meet me there for lunch next week. We ate at open air picnic tables at farmers market.Wheelchair accessibility: Open air farmers marketDietary restrictions: Offers gluten-free pita“
“Great little hole-in-the-wall spot in the big shopping center in downtown Waimea. We wanted some greens, so we got the Green Garden and it was super cold and tasty--perfect for a hot day. Dude working there was super chill and laid back. They premake them that day so you just pop in and the guy hands it to you. Nice if you're in a hurry, which you shouldn't be because you're in Waimea (:“

“I never review anything online, but our family's experience here was special and renewed my faith in humanity. When we got there, the man behind the window asked what both my boys wanted, but I told him that I only had enough for one shave ice (it's cash only). He then said that he would give us 2 anyways! It was such a sweet gesture. A lesson to us all, and my kids especially, that kindness is something we should practice more often. Oh, and the shave ice was great and he gave me a spoonful of coconut ice cream too which was wonderfully sweet and creamy. Please support this place.“

“We were recently on the island and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. Saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to take a chance. As voted by our family of 4 it was the best place we ate on our whole trip. DO NOT miss stopping here for food!!! The lady that took our order and brought it to us was amazing! The service was fast. The food was mouth watering! If I could give this place 10 stars I would!“

“Wow the food was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a meal as much in my entire life. I wanted to order more! I was skeptical as first as I wanted sushi but wasn’t sure what exactly I what to order. But my wife and I split Ramen and the “Nami-Bara-chirashi” and it was mind blowing! You have to try this place!“

“The taste is very good. It tastes like eating Japanese French food. The sauces on both the fish and meat are very delicious. This quality and this price? ! cheap! I feel that. The atmosphere is nice too. The atmosphere of the staff is also good. This is a restaurant that I would like to visit again when I come to Hawaii Island.“

“I had to use their parking to go to the fish ponds because parking was full. Couldn't tell you anything at all about this clothing store other than I could park there for free. It's clear all the rich, old, white people are trying to keep people from seeing the park because they built extremely limited parking for that but tons of parking for their rich white people stores. So thanks Tommy Bahama for allowing us to park at your store. Two thumbs up.“

“Never seen such a huge patty- that alone was the highlight and was so delicious! The bun they used tasted great as well and burgers were customizable where you can add whatever you wanted. Sauce was also unique and tasted great. Fries were cooked fresh as well. Extra extra points for the very kind staff. Thank you all!!!“

“You walk into a small hole in the wall establishment and are greeted by an awesome lady. The service is fast and the price is reasonable. My grandkids had the pepperoni pizza which had 8 generous slices. My grandson loves pizza and he said this is the best he ever had.“
“Had a good time here listening to some music performances. The setup is pretty cool open air with food and drinks available. Staff were all very attentive and fun. Food was tasty and not a terrible wait like mentioned in another review. They have special procedures if it is a big/busy night and the staff will give you instructions. Read them :)“

“Celiac safe! Our servers, Iryne and Cherrish-Anne, were phenomenal, very knowledgeable, and very helpful in accommodating a safe meal for my wife to eat. The Thai Green Salad was her favorite and the Lobster Fried Rice was something we both loved. They actually made it gluten free for her! Our favorite spot at the resort for the ocean views and great cocktails! Thank you for the pleasant dining experience!Vegetarian options: They have them on the menu and you can ask for something to be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: They ask upfront and the servers tailor their order taking accordingly, and very well.“

“Delicious food and drinks. Staff is very accommodating and very aware of their ingredients and allergens which is a huge plus for a mom with a child with allergies. We stayed in Waikiki for 4 days and ate here everyday for breakfast and sometimes lunch. Can't wait to come back!“

“We loved this restaurant. We went there for our anniversary dinner, and even though we made a late reservation they were able to seat us right by the ocean balcony. The host, manager and waitress were all extremely helpful and considerate. The food was AMAZING, and the atmosphere was pleasant and casual. The music was a little loud, but when they put us out by the ocean all we could hear were the waves so it didn't matter anymore. I can honestly say I have never had a more pleasant dining experience and would recommend this place to anyone. While expensive, I can honestly say that by the end of the meal I would have paid double and still been ok with it (but I'm glad I didn't have to ?). We liked it so much we are planning to go back at least one more time before we leave the island. 5 out of 5 stars- hands down!“

“OMB! Another stay at the Orchid and another perfect break. Of course check in in fast and so personal. Our room was upgraded to ocean view as per requested online booking. The dinner voucher was so worth it. I had kau coffee venison with root vegetables. The best ever. My niece had te,pure ahi with kale salad and it also was superb. Oh my, the ube rolls were unbelievable. The butter had the smallest amount of honey and a shake of salt to put it over the top. We had no room for dessert so the 3 mini chocolate dipped macaroons were a perfect end with the end of the red wine. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.“

“Went on a Friday night and Parking lot was full but not too many customers inside. It was a rainy night and the parking lot is gravel so a lot of water puddles and not a safe walk. The food is pricey but it was good. Had the shrimp pasta and shared a couple of sushi rolls which tasted great. The half portions are big. Nice piano playing.“

“The service is amazing. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. He also replaced an undercooked fish with a new one.The views there are sooooo beautiful. The ocean and the rocks and the bay are gorgeous. But, the food is pretty meh and is very overpriced. The snapper is pretty bland. The Brussel sprouts and the buratta salad were nothing memorable either. Food wise, you can find far more flavorful food for a lot less elsewhere.“

“This was an absolutely great place to dine at. Claudia was simply fantastic in her service and such a lovely person. Food options were amazing and tastes knocked the socks off of all my guests. The grilled octopus was simply the best I have ever had. Very quaint simple ambience - perfect for the island. Is now one of my favourite choices to dine on the Bid Island.Vegetarian options: They will easily accommodate you. My daughter is vegetarian and loved her meal.“
