“If you're in makow I highly recommend the public house but there's one problem you have to have a reservation so if you're coming here to visit call the public house in mcaw and make a reservation the food is off the hook everything that place is the bomb!!!“

“I love Kava, this place has good drinks and mocktails that use kava in place of alcohol, but the price of the drinks is a pretty high considering 1 drink here costs what you'd pay for a full night of kava in one of the local garage clubs. Very small bar area, makes the otherwise intimate setting feel a little crowded for groups larger than 2.“

“A true dive bar in the best sense of the word. When we came in the first time, we did get some looks from the locals but we made the effort to interact and they treated us like friends they just hadn't met before. (Got hugs on our way out!) The bartenders were friendly and did a great job for us. We ended up going back several times with a positive experience every time we stepped through the door. We will be heading to Kehei again in December and are looking forward to hanging a bit at Kahale's.“

I can safely say without reserve it is the friendliest and most welcoming social bar and gathering place on the Island of Maui. They compete with Disney claim to the "happiest place on earth".“

“The managers and staff of Hang Loose lounge are just fantastic people. They are island friendly and go out of their way to help you. Rod even drove us personally from the lounge when we could not get a taxi to swing by. You can see why the locals frequent and hugs flow. Check it out. Maui is wide open for business folks. The fires certainly affected certain specific locals but 90% of the island was fine.“

“Izakaya Genbe is an excellent Japanese restaurant in Kihei. The service is excellent and the food exceptional. The restaurant is located in the Azeka shopping center in Kihei and open for lunch and dinner. This great spot is one of our go to places for a night out. The ramen is excellent and we are big fans of spice so we always add a side of the spicy red bomb. If you are a local make this a spot on your night out rotation and if you are a tourist make this a must stop on your trip to Maui.“

“This is an adorable open air Italian restaurant that is so delicious. We ate here 2 nights in a row. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, Caeser salad, Bolognese, and lasagna. All were excellent. Service was great. Don't go by their website. It is not current and something they are working on. A lovely little spot for an Italian meal.“

“The wait staff was friendly and checked in with us regularly. The food was delicious - best fish tacos! The beef kabob is great and the calamari not your basic fried - it is absolutely wonderful. Great live music in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.“

“Had some time to kill before our flight and googled sports bar to watch the Super Bowl. OMG the food was terrific, atmosphere was great and patrons all local. And since we sat at the bar we saw EVERY dish that came out of the kitchen. ALL of them looked superb and now wish we made more time to visit it more than once. Had the bacon avocado cheeseburger and ultimate chicken sandwich which were great but like I stated earlier everything looked scrumptious coming out of the kitchen!!“
