“The ambient was pretty relaxing coming in. We showed up for breakfast. Service was adequate - we got our table fairly quickly (didn't need to use the QR code to get on the waitlist), and our order was processed almost immediately. Nice folks :) On the way out, this weird cloud of alluring temptation drew us to the bakery for desserts...beware! I would've taken a picture of the dessert, but it had already eluded my camera by hiding in our stomach. So sorry.“
“Incredible food and friendly service. I cannot impress thru words how awesome Chelsea is. She went thru the entire menu and spoke on any dish I asked about. This is our second time as the first time was take out and the food was incredible. I dined in for breakfast and the food was incredible again. We moved here from Europe a few years ago and really appreciate the healthy style of cooking they do versus the normal sugar / salt / fat / fried food. All I have to say is come and just come and try it. It is great.Finding Sweet Corner Cafe is a little tricker. It is down the inclined drive and in the basement of the building off the street. There is a vertical banner with a Lucky Cat at the top of the drive by the street. I just parked on the street and walked down the incline to the entrance on the side of the building. There was a cat (Biggie) hanging out by the door and Sweet Corner Cafe is just down the hall with a sign above the door.“
“Got two mixed plates so got to try the smoked meat, smoked chicken, hamburger steak, and chili. All the smoked items were definitely the highlight. I didn't care much for the chili and the hamburger steak. The chilis flavors were not the best and I definitely prefer brown gravy for my hamburger steak. I'd come back again but will definitely just get more smoked items - if it's in the name of the restaurant, stick to those items.“
“Definitely one of our goto places to have some, what I call, asian street food. Every time we dine in, we can literally feel the spirit of Colin and Anthony Bourdain. It’s as if they are dining with us and enjoying the legacy classics. Amazing fresh food and cool ambiance.Go during the weekdays as the weekends are jammed packed.“
“Ordered Jolene’s by the Sea via Uber Eats:OMG the pastrami melt is amazingly delicious, love the bread too!Best entree: 6 crunchy huge won ton filled with cheese and brisket. Crunchy and flavorful plus the consommé I think was more like a rich snd delicious soup which made a bGreat dip for the eon ton. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I have been wanting to try this place for a while. There is parking in front but limited. We decided to park in the garage, which wasn't pricey. We went between 1 to 2, and it wasn't busy. We ordered the grilled cheese sandwich for the kids and waffle fries. Also ordered the Papa Smokes Burger, a Buttah Big Boi Burger, thai milk tea, and brown sugar ube milk.I wasn't too impressed with the drinks. Was a bit water down. But we did like the food. The waffle fries were crunchy and had nice seasoning to it. The grilled cheese was glooey and the kids loved that. The japanese milk bread used with the grilled cheese was good. My kids ate it, so I was happy, lol. I enjoyed the papa smokes burger. The bun was soft and the brisket and burger patties were cooked great. My bf really enjoyed the big boi burger. It is a big burger with three patties and he really enjoyed it. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would go back again. Sorry, pictures/videos aren't good. lol we were hungry.“
“Been meaning to try Guava Smoked. The restaurant itself is small. Drive-inn vibes with a few tables in the small space at Downtown Pearlridge. The person at the counter seemed like they were the owner and were very friendly. Ordered a mix plate with boneless chicken thighs and pork with mac salad and smoked fried rice. Also ordered the smoked salmon belly bowl. Prices were very reasonable. Our order came out quickly, and served to our table. The meat was very tender and tasty. Great smoke flavor but not overpowering. The fried rice was really really good, and the amount of meat chunks included in the rice was almost a 3rd choice. Smoked salmon belly was also really good. Mac salad was ok on its own but worked well mixed in with bites of meat/rice. Would definitely come back here. I've been missing out. My only wish is they had actual bbq sauce too instead of sambal and chili water.“
“Went there for brunch and left very satisfied. First of it's always nice when there is parking garage nearby and the parking is free especially in Hawaii. So that definitely got us off to a good start. They don't take reservations and we needed our whole party there to be seated. I wanted so many items on the menu and glad we came as a big party so I got to try several things. The pics got me with the Milk N Cereal pancakes but they were actually too sweet for my liking.l but looked so pretty. The kids loved it though. The Brûlée'D French toast was bomb! Would definitely order this again. Wanted to try the pork chop so got it as an appetizer and it was crisp, juicy and seasoned perfectly. The loco moco adobo was also pretty bomb definitely finished this up and left no scraps on the plate. The kids and adults loved the bacon Mac n cheese.Great brunch spot and good service.“
“My wife and I ended up at Smith and King's because the restaurant we originally planned to go to was closed. To our pleasant surprise, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Smith and King's. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be back for the weekend brunch.“
“We're tourists who were just looking for a place that wasn't touristy to watch a game. This was perfect! Prices are reasonable, and service was good. Parking lot is small, but there weren't many people (midafternoon on a Sunday) so it wasn't an issue. Kalua pork nachos were delicious!“
“Having tried Kamukura in Osaka, I was pleasantly surprised to recognize it when I came home. I got the abura ramen special half order and was not disappointed. The flavor was fantastic, and immediately brought me back to that small shop in Osaka. The fried chicken was a great side, and tasted great dunked in the brother as well. Overall, the quality was great and highly recommended. Then only downside is the price, which is quite a bit higher than some of the shops in the area.“
“When visiting from the U.S. Mainland, I usually visit this Zippy's location because it's close & convenient to where my relatives live. Service is usually fast & efficient, the restaurant is reasonably clean, and the menu selection and quality are excellent. As a creature of habit, I usually order the Korean Fried Chicken plate ($17.65, Sept. 2023). A somewhat healthier version is the Korean Chicken Salad ($16.45). And we usually check out the bakery selection (Napoleon's Bakery) for something sweet to take home.“
“I haven't been here in years. And it is exactly as I remember it. The weight is short don't let the line overwhelm you. The food is great. The only negative that I experience was the flies were flying on the ketchup bottle and the Shoyu bottles. A few times the fly landed on my husband's water cup. Plus the type of music they play was a very disturbing.“
“Today I placed a large order of about 25 plates for our Union Meeting at the Pearl City location-806 Kamehameha Hwy. The person who took the order did an excellent job with no errors. They had my order ready in less than 30 minutes. I wanted to give an extra commendation to Somphone. First, she greeted me so warmly! She double checked my order, took my Bakery order, and helped me to my car! I had to return to add to the order and she helped me again. Somphone needs to given an award or a certificate! I received excellent service!“
