“Would absolutely recommend Uptown Dairy. Growing up near the WI border my family enjoyed Cedar Crest ice cream as a special treat and I’m happy to see it here in Iowa! Hands down some of the best small batch ice cream I’ve ever had and plenty of variety to choose from. I love that Uptown Dairy is right by the High Trestle Trail Ankeny trailhead and makes for a perfect treat after a long ride. If you love coffee and haven’t tried the affogato I would definitely give this Italian coffee/ice cream desert a shot! You can really tell the owner puts a tremendous amount of pride and care into Uptown Dairy“
“I got an ad on Instagram for this place the other day and looked at the menu and decided to go. We got street corn, mango enchalidito, cotton candy swirl and super hero; all of our treats were amazing! The employees were very nice to us and were fast with service. 10/10 recommend giving this place a try!“
“Visited this fantastic ice cream shop on a Friday evening for the first time ever! Both employees were super friendly and gave us a couple samples. It was so hard to pick what to get due to them having so many delicious sounding options, including a few seasonal choices! They offer sundaes, ice cream cake, pints, quarts, and have a decent selection of vegan options. The sizes pictured were one of their smallest and even still it was a great size. The store is super clean and tidy too.My only minor complaint is that they only have one milkshake size and it seems to be pretty large. I wanted a milkshake but didn't want a huge one. The price was relatively high too which was a bummer because shakes are usually my go-to. Overall, this didn't take away from the experience and we absolutely loved the ice cream shop!“

A manager opened the door for us on the way in!I saw a management going around to the tables after they'd received their food to make sure that everything was good or if they needed anything.Great teamwork, as I always say, employees reflect managements attitude.All of the employees seemed happy and enjoyed their jobs!!Foo;D was awesome“

“I was so eager for Ol to reopen for the season due to this being my #1 pregnancy craving. I messaged the Facebook page to find out, they were so kind as to gift me two bowls of my favorites to get me through until opening this March! I CRIED in joy of their kindness. Now that they have reopened I have waddled in twice this week alone for frozen goodness. I'm tallying up how many times I'll go until my due date this August. Might have to name my son Froyo. “Friendly staff, clean, all flavors and mix-ins readily available. Not much more one could ask for when you want some dessert after a good meal. They have plenty of waffle cone selections and even had the special Barbie cup and flavor available for those wanting to go all pink. Will definitely return the next time we are in town and want ice cream.“
“The one in Ankeny has a decent menu and a little more variety than other Smokey Rows. It is cleaner and staff friendly enough. The restaurant has a lot of different spaces. You can hang out and play games while drinking your latte. Good place to bring your laptop etc.“

They each got ice cream, and I got a cookie.First, I always feel like places like this (here, and their most obvious competitor, Cold Stone) are a bit overpriced, likely because of their gimmick.That said, this place definitely doesn't skimp on the amount of ice cream they give. I ordered the regular/'small' size for both kids, and they got a *lot* of ice cream. They both very much enjoyed it as well.My cookie (an M&M cookie) was also good, though nothing particularly fantastic. Would go here again with the kids, if not by myself.“
“Culver's Culver's Culver's, what could I ever possibly say wrong about this wonderful establishment? The cheese curds are sublime, the malt shakes are divine, and those butter burgers will literally rock your world. The only complaint I will ever have with Culver's, is that there aren't any in the UK. This will always be a must whenever I'm in Ankeny visiting from the UK. If you haven't tried the spiritual awakening that it the Culver's butter burger, then looooord you don't know what you're missing. Cannot recommend highly enough.“
