“AMAZING!!!! Super tender and moist cuts of meat, well-seasoned everything, and amazing simple guacamole, cheese dip, and salsa. Service was quick and concise, answering any questions and the food came out fast. You definitely should check out if you visit The District.“
“My family went for dinner. The Traditional Smithwick’s Fish & Chips and Fisherman’s Shore Lunch both had flaky and delicious fried cod and tasty fries. The grilled chicken kids meal was also good. The prices are higher than some places but seemed fair for what we got. Service was great too. We will return!“
“Our Food was INCREDIBLE! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The price was fantastic! We will definitely be back! This was our first time here. The staff was welcoming as soon as you walked in, our waitress was helpful and we got thanked by the staff as we were leaving. Great atmosphere to be in!!“
“Absolutely love this place! It's our favorite eatery in all of Ankeny. On Tuesdays and during happy hour(m-f 11-5) you can get 5 or $6 giant margaritas. The food is excellent and the servers are great. They all know my girl is trying to learn Spanish and will exclusively speak to her in Spanish. We bring all our friends and family here. If you're looking for some good Mexican food this place is a no-brainer.“
“First time there. Drove from Norwalk for a family celebration and it was worth the drive. I had the District 36 salmon, which was unique. Excellent flavor, not overcooked & can't wait to go back. My wife had the chicken parm and was also pleased. Others in the party were very pleased with their selections. I opted for the seafood bisque which also excellent, even though I wished the bowl was bigger. The service was excellent & plentiful. One main waitress had several helpers to bring the food to the table which was well timed. The room was spacious and tables were spaced apart which was appreciated as there was birthday party with kids nearby. They were enjoying each other a lot. We will be going back again.“
“I was there with co-workers and the food is wonderful. I loved every bite. The plating for each dish was full of color and looked like art. I had the Empanadas, my first time, and each bite was savory and full of flavor. I also had the Bistek Lo Pobre and it had such umami and full of flavor. My favorite was the Dessert. I had Mazamorra Morada and I fell in love. I also got a cheesecake - better then New York Cheesecake. Best Meal ever. I am definitely going back. Our server was the best. She was so kind and funny. I recommend this Restaurant to everyone that just wants good food.“

“I dined at Trostel's Greenbriar to attend a seminar on February 28, 2024. We all were served the same items. The large mixed greens salad with their homemade buttermilk ranch dressing with tasty bread was a wonderful start. Then came a center cut New York Strip steak, a whopping 16 oz (!), and a hefty sized perfectly baked potato with butter and sour cream. I asked for a very, very, very, very rare steak and that's exactly what I got! I was in Heaven!! For dessert, we were served an oversized wedge of cheesecake, which was 3-1/2" - 4" high, with ample strawberries and sauce. It was to die for!Our servers, Cheyenne and Meredith, were very efficient, attentive and friendly during my whole time there. I commend them wholeheartedly!! I would definitely like to try more menu items at this establishment!I usually take pictures of my dishes when I dine. However, I simply forgot this time until I got my dessert.“
“Our first time and what a great experience! We arrived around 11:30 am , found a spot in the parking lot (big plus!), and got right in, but we made it just in time. It filled up fast! Our server, Adrianna, was fabulous; very friendly (awesome smile), happy to answer some of our questions, and was just overall top notch! The food was incredible especially the Armadillo Eggs with the jalapeño ranch. Supberb!Highly recommend and it's conveniently located right off I-235.“
“If you haven’t eaten here yet, GO.Food was great - flavorful and delicious. Our server Nayeli was super helpful with recommendations and answering our questions. It was our first time having Peruvian cuisine and it definitely won’t be our last! Highly recommend.“
“Our sever Omar was fast, friendly and amazing! Fajitas Mariachi were wonderful! My girlfriend said the Carne Asada tacos are the best she ever had. Chips and salsa were very good. The margaritas were decent. Great experience, we'll definitely be back soon!“
“Food is delicious, the margaritas not so good for Wednesdays Margaritas night? they are weak and tasteless but the food is so scrumptious!!!!!I just ordered online and forgot to order beans and as a one time courtesy they are sending some! I appreciate that because that is all my daughter will eat!Update Baria tacos ? were very dry today and fatty! Kind of a waste of money! Unfortunately probably will never order from here again. ?“
“Great place overall. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and professional. Live jazz was performed as part of the Wednesday night schedule, which created a fantastic atmosphere for dinner. The food was served hot and fresh and was plated well. The crab cakes were delicious.“
“In Des Moines to see a friend in the hospital and Google Maps showed a great review for 77. It was my first time eating Pho and it was awesome. I had the Combination Vermicelli and Green Tea Pot (kept warm with a tea light). The waitress was very pleasant and polite and the food was delicious. I'm now hooked on Pho.“
“Couldn't have asked for better service considering I showed up 20 min before they closed, which might I add they closed at 9:30 on a Saturday & will discuss below. Food was delicious and hot no complaints with quantity or quality chips and salsa included. The corn shells were so fresh & warm I could have eaten the shells alone for my dinner. The seven seas soup was superb even though it contained only quarter size piece of fish. here are the few reasons I feel the need for 3 stars. First closing hrs are 9:30pm on a Sat.? Why so early?Secondly, the parking lot feels unsafe as it seems there's a lot going on with all the businesses & traffic on the property. So not family friendly in the evenings.Lastly, Environment inside was very noisy and rather busy. So not a place to wind down & have a drink at least not 20 min. before closing time (I can only base off the time I spent at the est.)The food was so good I will def. return & recommend.“
“Very good place, good portions of food according to the price, I ate Salvadoran pupusas, my friend had corn atol and everything was very good and the price was very affordable.Parking: Very good because it is spacious and was empty the day I went.“
“Excellent food bursting with flavor. I had shrimp tacos with chipotle sauce. Husband had something I didn’t get name of but it was seafood served in a pineapple with cream sauce with all the vegetables. Top notch service. Waitress was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. Definitely will be eating here again.“
“All three of us had the $44 special, it was amazing! Pickle chips were very good, steaks and shrimp perfectly cooked as we each ordered, and the dessert was delicious. Gio was our waiter he was super friendly and did a great job. I would have no problem taking friends and family there.“
