It is a burger place with a great bar. What else could you ask for in a place that has "burger" in the name? Unfortunately there is no longer a "shine", but historically there was on the building.
One of, if not the best burgers in Iowa City. A decent value for the quality of the hamburger. Would have rated 5 stars, but the cheese curds appetizers were overcooked and greasy.

I stopped into this place a few days ago. The burger itself was good, but the lettuce was weird and wilted. I had to pull some of it off. Just had kind of an odd texture to it. Allegedly there were caramelized onions on it. I think I saw some, but could not taste them. Fairly average burger for an above average price.The fries would have been great with less salt.
