“Mahi fish tacos. I get it. Middle of the country, fresh Mahi isn't going to be an option. That being said, the fish tacos were harder to eat than the saltine cracker challenge! Seriously, y'all need to do something about that. Add some Chipotle sauce or something and over power the dryness with flavor. Beer was fantastic! Martoberfest for the win! 1 star on the tacos, 3 stars for the beer.”

“I celebrated my birthday this weekend and had SUCH a great experience at the Shack. We started on the other end of fourth street, and honestly had such a bad time that we were ready to call it quits at like 1030, which is honestly past my bed time anyways, but one of my friends convinced me to make the trek down towards the Hard Rock. The bars were so full they had spilled out onto the street and it felt like one wrong move would cause a fight. It was seriously anxiety inducing for this old homebody - but when we wandered into the shack it was like walking into another dimension. The Shack is an island of joyful chaos in a sea of aggressive alpha frat bros. It was loud, sure, but because everyone was having a blast. It was a very diverse crowd for a small midwestern city, and the owner managed to be incredibly kind while still keeping things moving efficiently. I don’t get out much, but when I do I will definitely be going back!”

“Our waitress was super sweet Ashtyn (not sure if correct spelling) and even though my side of mac n chz and shrimp was on the colder side everything tasted amazing. The manager came after waitress asked if all was okay , it tasted great just not very warm, and Ahe apologized. I feel he over did making things right but appreciated. I told him too everything was great just not very warm which I get “it happens”. Hubbies food was perfect. Everything else was great and will go back again. Nobody is perfect and it’s super busy I am understanding and patient everyone is short staffed and over worked”

“Went to Tikka Indian Grill for the first time today. I just ordered @ the counter and waited for the food to go. I usually eat Indian in Sioux Falls by myself, but saw this place and my wife was willing to try. I kept it mild with their Mild Tikka Masala Chicken, the Garlic Naan And a Chai tea. All of the food was packed in nice containers that aren't going to leak, so that was a huge plus. Now the food, it was absolutely awesome. The Masala was mild and creamy and we both loved it. The rice was cooked perfect and was also packed in a nice container that made transportation easier. The gentleman recommended getting the Garlic when I ordered the regular Naan and I am happy that I listened. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and seemed attentive to the other customers dining in. I am definitely going to be eating here again and will be ordering different items.”

I heard the “devastating” outcry from the public when the fire happened & how they wanted it back and they’d miss it and everything so forth. I thought it was horrible that it happened for the owners & hoped they had insurance. Come to the re-opening I hear about people wrapped around the building & how they don’t have a big enough parking lot & how it was blocking off traffic because so many people wanted to go to opa time to try their food. I thought hmm this much be some good stuff. I better wait until the hype settles and give them a shot. Brings me to tonight when we went in at just the right time. Not a sole was in the restaurant. No drive thru, nothing. We got our food brought out to us by a very nice man. It was probably the best fast food establishment I’ve seen in my life. And I think Jim’s burger is pretty great on Pierce. It suddenly got so busy and in the rain the man went out to get someone’s order so it would be ready by the time they got to the window. Talk about top notch service. Five stars isn’t enough!!! We will be back & with TIP money next time because they deserve it.”

I ordered my coffee with 2 extra shots and a muffin. I was on my way back to the hospital to be with my mother. I have slept for about 3-4 hours in the last 30 hours and forgot my wallet at home. I apologized to the young lady at the window and said I didn’t have money and had to go. She offered to give me the muffin anyway because it was already warmed up and in the bag. I thanked her over and over and said how sweet that was. Being so tired and maybe a little emotional from lack of sleep and told her about my mom being in the hospital and not sleeping for so long. The 2 people working went above and beyond and gave me the coffee for free and even offered to give me some redbull to help me stay awake. I so wish I would have gotten their names because I want to give them a huge shoutout! They made my rotten few days a little brighter. Such awesome service, above and beyond.”

A tad sad they didn’t have spicy marinara, but above all great. Would recommend to anyone, and above all our service was excellent. Will definitely make the over an hour drive again for Old Chicago!”

“I just received my delivery order. I was outside when the delivery guy pulled up so I met him at his car and signed for my items. He gave me my items and and offered to walk up and get the door for me because my hands were full. I told him it was ok, I could get it and thanked him. I turned around to pull my gate closed and he was already doing it for me before heading back to his car. Thanks for the great customer service tonight. That and friendliness is lacking at many places these days 😊”

“I've come to this place often, ever since it first opened, and have not been disappointed yet! It remains one of my favorite spots to eat if I'm looking for something both flavorful and filling.
They have such a wide selection on their menu (along with some seasonal or limited time items) that on your next visit you can always try something new! Best part is that it's always freshly made. my go to are peach teas, their shredded chicken bahn mi, and the mozzarella potato corn dog~

This place is usually packed and busy, and the staff are constantly putting in the work getting orders out to the customer in a timely manner. And from my experience, there isn't a long wait time. the establishment is always clean, well organized and the staff are incredibly patient and polite.

My only complaint (if you can call it one) is that I wish they had more desserts, and that said desserts remained as permanent menu items. Desserts like their limited taiyaki pancakes and mochi waffles/pops. Definitely miss them and hope they make a comeback at some point.”
