“Mahi fish tacos. I get it. Middle of the country, fresh Mahi isn't going to be an option. That being said, the fish tacos were harder to eat than the saltine cracker challenge! Seriously, y'all need to do something about that. Add some Chipotle sauce or something and over power the dryness with flavor. Beer was fantastic! Martoberfest for the win! 1 star on the tacos, 3 stars for the beer.”

This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.”

“I stayed in the Hotel next door. The resturant provided the buffet breakfast. The bacon was under cooked the first morning but they fixed the problem by day 2. The resturant was very good but by far the best thing was the service provided by Sidney. She was friendly, efficient and very professional. “I celebrated my birthday this weekend and had SUCH a great experience at the Shack. We started on the other end of fourth street, and honestly had such a bad time that we were ready to call it quits at like 1030, which is honestly past my bed time anyways, but one of my friends convinced me to make the trek down towards the Hard Rock. The bars were so full they had spilled out onto the street and it felt like one wrong move would cause a fight. It was seriously anxiety inducing for this old homebody - but when we wandered into the shack it was like walking into another dimension. The Shack is an island of joyful chaos in a sea of aggressive alpha frat bros. It was loud, sure, but because everyone was having a blast. It was a very diverse crowd for a small midwestern city, and the owner managed to be incredibly kind while still keeping things moving efficiently. I don’t get out much, but when I do I will definitely be going back!”

The manager came after waitress asked if all was okay , it tasted great just not very warm, and Ahe apologized. I feel he over did making things right but appreciated. I told him too everything was great just not very warm which I get “it happens”. Hubbies food was perfect. Everything else was great and will go back again. Nobody is perfect and it’s super busy I am understanding and patient everyone is short staffed and over worked”

“Went to Tikka Indian Grill for the first time today. I just ordered @ the counter and waited for the food to go. I usually eat Indian in Sioux Falls by myself, but saw this place and my wife was willing to try. I kept it mild with their Mild Tikka Masala Chicken, the Garlic Naan And a Chai tea. All of the food was packed in nice containers that aren't going to leak, so that was a huge plus. Now the food, it was absolutely awesome. The Masala was mild and creamy and we both loved it. The rice was cooked perfect and was also packed in a nice container that made transportation easier. The gentleman recommended getting the Garlic when I ordered the regular Naan and I am happy that I listened. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and seemed attentive to the other customers dining in. I am definitely going to be eating here again and will be ordering different items.”

“My husband, child & I had never been to Opa Time. We moved here in Summer of 2020. I heard the “devastating” outcry from the public when the fire happened & how they wanted it back and they’d miss it and everything so forth. I thought it was horrible that it happened for the owners & hoped they had insurance. Come to the re-opening I hear about people wrapped around the building & how they don’t have a big enough parking lot & how it was blocking off traffic because so many people wanted to go to opa time to try their food. I thought hmm this much be some good stuff. I better wait until the hype settles and give them a shot. Brings me to tonight when we went in at just the right time. Not a sole was in the restaurant. No drive thru, nothing. We got our food brought out to us by a very nice man. It was probably the best fast food establishment I’ve seen in my life. And I think Jim’s burger is pretty great on Pierce. It suddenly got so busy and in the rain the man went out to get someone’s order so it would be ready by the time they got to the window. Talk about top notch service. Five stars isn’t enough!!! We will be back & with TIP money next time because they deserve it.”

“Found this place by simply using Uncle Google. Being a bar food regular this place was on the upper tear. Service was quick and friendly. Beers were frosty. Bar seating was full with regulars which isnt common, in my experience, especially when there was seemed to be about 20 seats. Relaxed atmosphere plenty of TVs with various sports/shows to watch. Had multiple people make sure I was taken care of throughout my meal. Going to my go to locally owned spot when I'm in the area. Jill also let me know they had plenty of good food options ontop of my regular wing and fry order. Even offered to make sure she would throw out suggestions on future visits.”

Recently stopped for a business lunch with an out of town partner. The four of us were quickly seated, service was great, and we received our drinks and food quickly. Everyone loved their meal and the atmosphere, and it was their first time at this establishment.

This place is usually packed and busy, and the staff are constantly putting in the work getting orders out to the customer in a timely manner. And from my experience, there isn't a long wait time. the establishment is always clean, well organized and the staff are incredibly patient and polite.

My only complaint (if you can call it one) is that I wish they had more desserts, and that said desserts remained as permanent menu items. Desserts like their limited taiyaki pancakes and mochi waffles/pops. Definitely miss them and hope they make a comeback at some point.”

“I just found my new favorite lunch place! Had to stop half way through my meal to write this review. I ordered the half size salad and half size sandwich. The Cobb salad had great portions and tasted fresh. It came with plenty of dressing. I believe it is Balsamic Vinaigrette, which I’ve never had before, and only needed to use half of it. YUM. For my sandhwich I ordered the Club Panini. WOW. So freaking good. I don’t eat out or order in for lunch very often but I will now! Can’t wait to try more from the Sweetwater menu.”

“Edited to add names- I found out that the people working tonight were MADDIE and LANDEN. ❤️ I stopped at Scooter’s Downtown location this evening around 5:30. I ordered my coffee with 2 extra shots and a muffin. I was on my way back to the hospital to be with my mother. I have slept for about 3-4 hours in the last 30 hours and forgot my wallet at home. I apologized to the young lady at the window and said I didn’t have money and had to go. She offered to give me the muffin anyway because it was already warmed up and in the bag. I thanked her over and over and said how sweet that was. Being so tired and maybe a little emotional from lack of sleep and told her about my mom being in the hospital and not sleeping for so long. The 2 people working went above and beyond and gave me the coffee for free and even offered to give me some redbull to help me stay awake. I so wish I would have gotten their names because I want to give them a huge shoutout! They made my rotten few days a little brighter. Such awesome service, above and beyond.”

I expect to wait around 10 to 15 minutes after ordering, and they will tell you this. The food is EXCELLENT! I will continue to return to Culver's without hesitation.”

“Came up from Fort Calhoun this evening. What an incredible experience. We ordered pizza and were comped cheese sticks and the salad bar. The cheese sticks were so cheesy and the marinara was so delicious. Everything on the salad bar was home made and so very delicious. The pizza came out and it was the best pizza we have ever had.
