“I love this starbucks! If you already dont have a shopper's high each time you step into Target, a drink from starbucks will definitely help get you there! So yes, there is an independent stand-alone Starbucks with a drive-thru right off Merle Hay Ave., I prefer getting my coffee fix at this Target Starbucks location despite having to park my car and go inside. The baristas here actually take their time crafting your brew and also take time to chat with you while they prep your beverage if its not too busy. The little short girl, KIM, is the only barista here whose name I can remember. She has served me several times and is always so sweet and is quick to push your order out!“
“Typical Starbucks. Not a fan but had gift cards to use and needed a caffeine jolt whilst traversing the tedious stretch of traffic known as I-80. Ordered plain old coffee and it was served lukewarm. Ugh. Tasted like it had sat for hours. The staff did kindly take it back and brewed fresh. This detour took about 15 minutes from standing in line to order to drinkable coffee in hand. Meanwhile, the fancy pants coffee and tea beverages were efficiently served.Lesson learned: Starbucks excels in designer drinks, but it is not worth the time (or money - $3.25 (gasp))for a basic cup of coffee for purists such as myself.Staff helpful for managing gift cards. Not a slam on the staff, it's my impression basic coffee gets short shrift from the chain compared to the multiple ingredient and step menu items.Parking: This Starbucks is inside of a Target store. Parking can be crazy due to pedestrian traffic. I advise to park in the outskirts of the lot and pull through, walk a few extra steps to the store and save yourself some traffic grief. Your heart will thank you.“
“It is usually a bit of a challenge to leave a Starbucks review. The franchise has done a great job being fairly consistent from store to store. This one, though, stands out a little.This Starbucks is attached to a new Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh which provides the bonus of access to some of the convenience store offerings. The Starbucks is new, clean, and fresh with a good amount of light filtering in from the south facing windows. There is cozier seating further back in the store that is reminiscent of your usual Starbucks experience.The crew here is friendly and do a good job with their coffee service. No mis-mixed or scorched drinks yet, and I think not likely in the future. I have been in the store a couple of times when some training was underway in both the trainer and trainee were hard at work.If you find yourself out this direction and in need of some Java, this is a good place to keep in mind. Whether you drive through, or take advantage of the amenities in the store, you will have a solid Starbucks experience.“
