“I’m a little late on this review and I said I would take pictures. Well the event had begun but by the time I remembered a lot of the food was eaten. I drove from Omaha last November to pick up an order for my brother’s birthday. Four hours round trip. Based on the reviews I thought it was worth the drive. Glad I did. It was enjoyed by those who had eaten and never eaten Puerto Rican food. Thank you again.“

“This is a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. No bells and whistles just good food. I see all these 1 star reviews and i definitely don’t agree with any of them.Stop out and support a small local business. “I hosted my husband's 50th birthday party at the Station, and their back room was having the Nightmare on Ingersol, so they had some tables reserved for us. We ended up with more than the tables would hold, and they did an amazing job of getting to people quickly, and made the night great, from the 8 year old, to the birthday boy with some people getting food, and getting drinks to everyone. “We are visiting from out of state, and came here on the recommendation of the front desk lady that checked us in at our hotel. I had the bulgogi tacos and they were DELICIOUS! My spouse had one of the hamburgers on a rye bun, and tells me it was good. We had a lot of questions about the available foods due to allergies and food sensitivities that we have, and our waiter was very helpful and understanding. And the Deals cider was so sweet and delicious we are about to go track some more down!!“

“The food was excellent. One of the best steak deburgo I’ve had. The restaurant is small, so it gets really noisy. There was also no clear communication in where to go to get on the waitlist, you can’t wait at the bar so you have to go to a small waiting room down further in the strip mall. But again no one told us where to go to wait and there was no signage.“

“Absolutely delicious! I had the Pineapple Chicken meal, which came with steamed rice, crab Rangoon, macaroni salad & a drink. Hubby had the Chicken Katsu, which came with steamed rice and macaroni salad. His chicken was so crispy and delicious. We also split an order of Spam Musubi. Everything was amazing and both were large portions, we both ended up taking part of our meals home. 10/10 recommend. Great prices and friendly staff!“

“Super cool vibes in here. It is hip hop themed with graffiti art of rappers on the wall, and they have a fire playlist of old school classics. The breakfast egg rolls were phenomenal especially with the cilantro sriracha sauce. The biscuit sandwiches were great, it was hard to choose which one I wanted, and the pancakes here are absolutely ginormous. I recommend the iced chai, it was crafted to perfection. Next time I'll have to get the mimosa flight, it looked like a good crowd pleaser for sharing. Service and wait was way faster than I thought it would be, especially for how busy they were on a Sunday morning for brunch. I could tell the staff was hustling and working well together to get people in as quickly as possible. Thank you!“

When I encountered Confluence's Des Moines IPA - Double Dry Hopped, it instantly became my number one. What a perfect balance of subtle but not overwhelming sweetness with a crisp wet hoppiness that doesn't overwhelm. Getting this balance right is insanely tough.Got to tour Confluence and was even more of a fan. What a fantastic operation, with a passion for innovation. They may be Iowa's best microbrewery but I'm telling my boys at Sierra Nevada, you've got one hell of a competitor nipping at your heels!Confluence is a beer you can be proud of drinking, for its taste, its innovation, and its commitment to its communities.“

“Love this place. The food is top notch and It’s reasonably priced. In an area of BBQ and Americana, this is a nice break for some variety. We got several sushi rolls as well as some noodle bowls. Just so tasty. My only critiques are the service was a little longer than expected (worth it) and most rolls were just slight variations of California rolls or had mango. So not a lot of variety, but I didn’t care as they were all so good. The owner even noticed I had an Utah area code and connected over it. Great place!“

“Drove 1.5 hours to get to this place. Mostly because I read reviews of them brewing gluten free beer. And having gluten free options to eat. Place had a nice feel to it. A fun atmosphere. Not busy when we went. The pickle tickle beer is the only GF beer. Was truly like drinking alcoholic pickle juice. So what ever you like... The rest are sours that are GF. No other beers are. We tried them all. They were so very sweet. Liked a couple but not a big fan. Had to try though because I am Celiac and was excited to have the offering them. Food...well.... A salad was suggested...but that never goes over well when I ask Payinh to eat out. But then they said they have gluten free buns... So that meant I could have Burger. Anyway..asked a few more questions and then added the bacon and brie burger. Asked about the fries and was told they were gluten free. What I had was good but no balsamic, no granny smith apple slices.... These things should have been on the burger. But the burger itself was pretty good. The Gf bun was prepay nicely and didn't fall apart right away. Fries were mushy. Didn't see the server again until the bill. Food sounded really cool but just didn't meet the hype. Nothing was really terrible but nothing great either.Dietary restrictions: Sours are GF. Very sweet. Gluten free buns.“

I grew up in NY where freedom as a kid meant having $1 and being old enough to walk to the corner pizzaria on your own - or having $2 so you could bribe an older sibling to go with you if you weren't old enough to go alone. Plenty of places call themselves NY pizza, but don't come close. The pizza and pasta at TONY is authentic NY. The garlic knots and zepoles are perfect. It's our first stop whenever we're in Des Moines.“
