Katie was friendly, attentive, and a great server.Our appetizers were the spinach artichoke dip and shrimp dejonghe and both were outstanding. The dip was flavorful and the shrimp was something we’ve never tried before. It tasted like shrimp scampi with a soft garlic crust on top and it was just delicious!The soups tasted very good and the French dressing on the salad was great too. The special cut of ribeye could have had a bit more seasoning, but was perfect otherwise. They have a great selection of maki, both basics and specialty rolls at very fair prices. Edamame was piping hot when we got it home. We found a nice surprise in our order - they had included 2 ice cream desserts with a hand written note to have a good night on the box. Really sweet touch. We have had the steaks in the past and they are very good. Yesterday was like eating at a McDonalds playland. The couple seated after me saw where the host was going and said no, they wanted the remote room. I’ll remember that. You can at least have the adults in a quieter area. The service wasn’t great. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come and get the drink order. Not exaggerating. A group who came after us were served dinner before we got our appetizers. The host came over often but it seemed kind of odd. They couldn’t figure out how to give us separate checks. But I’ll go back and have oysters as an entree or a steak.“

“We visited this restaurant for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was ok with attempts to make it look authentic Japanese. There's a small fish pond in the middle of the restaurant and cozy sunken booths to get that seated on the floor vibe. We came for sushi and were not disappointed. It was all fresh and seemed very authentic. Many places make sushi but Daruma's sushi seemed somewhat different... stepped up. The fish pieces on the Nigiri were larger. We tried some different pieces and there were Maki combinations that were fresh and different than the norm. My only complaint about the place was that it was either under construction or was just a bit run down. When you first walk in there were things piled into the corner of the bar area, there was a space heater in the middle of the room we were seated in to warm it up, and the bathroom was very rundown and in need of a makeover... fresh paint and an overall cleanup. The place needed a good dusting. Aside from the cosmetic issues, the food was excellent and well made. For my wife's birthday, they brought her out some green tea cheesecake that was very good. It was a nice end to a nice evening.“

Kimchee soup comes with noodles on the bottom side hot stone steamed rice along with the order. We all enjoyed our dishes. We get there right when they open. The place fills up quickly. The server was nice and took my order quickly and checked in on me enough.I had ordered both a miso ramen and a couple pieces of tamago nigiri. Funny enough, while my usual complaint is the ramen at a sushi restaurant, today it's more of a small complaint about the sushi! The sushi itself didn't taste bad at all. It was well-made, in fact. My only "complaint" was that the tamago was still very cold from the fridge, but still really tasty. It didn't affect my overall experience.The ramen was great and the presentation was really nice. I'm really fond of miso ramen in general and they made it really well here.Noodles: The noodles are thinner, springy, and chewy. They were pleasant to eat and tasted amazing. They had a nice neutral taste that went well with the broth.Broth: The broth was rich and savory and had a good miso flavor. It was served perfectly hot.Toppings: The pork tasted like it was marinated well and was nicely braised. The egg wasn't marinated in anything and was a plain soft boiled egg. The bamboo shoots also tasted good on their own. I also enjoyed the corn last in the broth. Everything worked well both separately and together.Overall, I was very pleased with Lili Sushi & Ramen! I had the largest fried Shrimp ever and they were amazing.We went for the fantastic Shindig 60's band, the top local band in the Chicago area. They were outstanding, as usual.The band stage was WAY too small but worked. It needs to be reconfigured to a larger size and the lighting needs to be adjusted because taking pictures didn't work.My suggestions :1. Remove the tv's since you're really not a good venue as a sports bar. Add more tables under the tv's.2. Expand the band area and include an area for dancing. Too many people were dancing around the tables.5 separate dining areas. Lots of seating.I rated 5stars because it was an exceptional situation with St. Patrick's Day, the staff was overwhelmed with the crowds but were amazing under the circumstances.03/16/24 was St. Paddy day celebration.We had a reservation 1 month in advance. Thank goodness. But we still waited 30 minutes for our table because the wait staff wouldn't get the previous people to leave our table. This needs to be adjusted.Parking: Free parking but on an occasion, like St Patrick's day, get there early.“
