We will go back four people four dinners 1 bottle of roditys and 1 appetizer with tip under $200“

Their portions are generous again as before I felt there was major cutbacks in quality and quantity due to businesses suffering due to Covid. “Excellent Greek and Chicago specialties. We started with Saganaki (flaming Greek cheese), they used to flamblé at table side, now they flamblé near the table and when it goes put they serve it. We also had calamari (kalamari). I strayed from the Greek traditional dishes and tried the fried smelts; if you grew up in the midwest, you might have tried smelts, and Central Gyros served them exactly as I remember my mother did. We also got Pastitsio, a Greek lasagna type dish. All entrées are served with soup, and we all chose the egg lemon soup. Solid choice. Overall Central Gyros has been doing Greek food for decades and provide great food at reasonable price.Parking: There is a free multi-level parking garage across the street.“
“The owners made me feel like I was a regular, and had been going there for years.., but it was actually my first time eating there . The Lemon chicken soup was the best I've ever had! Went back the next day to bring some home to Missouri. (Here on vacation and wanted to share with friends when I get home) I will definitely be back. Ohh and the homemade bread they serve with the soup came out of the oven while they packaged my soup to go, and it was warm and sliced for me on the spot. “While the renovations have been nice and still in progress, what makes me sad is the portion reductions. I am still a fan of the country fried steak taste despite its size reduction and more than 1/3 less of tater tots. At least the service still comes with a smile, but I'm not sure how loyal the other customers will remain. First time I ordered chicken souvlaki sandwich - meat was flavorless :( it just lacks taste. The “taste sauce” that they put by default is not good at all and simply does not fit with this kind of food. I don’t know why it is by default like that. Mediterranean food usuallt comes with tahini or tzatziki sauce.2nd time - ordered falafel sandwich. That sandwich was definitely not what I expected. Not sure it they know how a falafel should look like and more importantly how it should taste.Otherwise I like how they wrap each sandwich in a nice packaging that keeps it warm and without being messy.“

“This is a Chicago style restaurant. You go in you order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. They have a very large menu with a little something for everyone. The prices are fair and the food is tasty. They offer bottled beers as well as some Mexican drinks. There is usually some sort of sport game playing on the large TV. They also have a separate gambling room. I have been here numerous times and try something different to eat each time. Overall, it's a nice place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is just a place to eat with customers ranging from people of all backgrounds. If you are in the area and need a quick bite this is a good place to go eat.“

I’m very picky on my chicken breast and they are nice and juicy grilled just right. Always order mayo lettuce and grilled onion and the onions are even on point.
