“Excellent lunch spot for a quick bite and serving all the fast food classics. The turkey submarine was freshly made and tidy! Delicious sandwich just like I remember from "back in the day". Crispy fries and the cup of cheese was not bad but not your traditional "nacho cheese" that you use to make cheese fries. I did order ahead for future pickup using the chownow app and my order was being placed in the to go bag when I arrived so excellent service as well. I did request extra crispy fries and they accommodated that as well. Can't ask for a better lunch! Thanks guys!!!“

Open faced with a healthy amount of all the fixings. Beef was the juicy Chicago style though, rather than the well done Philly style. While I had no complaints, I also had nothing to be impressed aboutI will give them another go in the near future to see if theres something I missed. They’re good, but also not bad.“

I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich with extra shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It was not spicy but well seasoned. “Detroit native living in Texas I wanted a corned beef sandwich before leaving Chicago. Went in ordered 2 mile high sandwiches for me and my boyfriend before heading to the airport. I wanted to taste the sandwiches to make sure they would hit. I only got corned beef from Detroit and my favorites are from coney islands. We took one bite of this sandwich turned around and got 2 more. The corned beef melts like butter sandwiches are amazing“

“I think I've only been inside this location to replace a drink or get some condiments that weren't added to my order or something. Otherwise it's mainly drive-thru. Service is usually pretty good and haven't had any issues with making an order improperly. Some of the best sandwiches for the price. Especially the 2 regular subs deal. Keep one for lunch the next day letting all the good stuff marinate overnight. So good.“

“Co-workers wanted to meet up for lunch and I am so glad they choose this place. They have some table and chairs inside, but it can be a tight fit during the lunch rush. The employees are helpful, and the place looked very clean. The menu has a lot of options, and I was happily surprised they have gluten free bread which was the best gluten free bread I have ever had a sandwich on. The contents on the sandwich were flavorful and you could tell they were fresh. It came with a side salad which had a great dressing on it. Overall, the meal was worth the price, and I would recommend trying them out yourself. I did spot a homemade galeto selection, but didn't indulge on this first trip, but I may need to check that out and report back in the future.“

“Great customer service by the people who operate this location, the Moon couple. The lady made the sandwich quickly and really well. They were well stocked on all of the meats and veggies! They had all types of bread available. There is plenty of seating inside if you dine in. I highly recommend this location for your Subway sandwiches.“

I asked if the owner was from Philly and they said yes.My one critique is I asked for hot peeppers hoping for long hots and they put giardiniera, but that was partially my mistake.The rolls could be a bit better, they're very close to that philly/nj roll, and I would say closer than anything else I've found in chicago so far, but they're not quite the same yet.Other reviewers mentioned that they make the bread here in house. I asked if they did and they said no, so I'm not sure why the other reviewers said that.Overall a great hoagie in Chicago! Definitely recommend“

“Always a must stop on my way to or from the Brookfield Zoo. I don't live in the area any more, but when I visit I always try to hit up Mr. Submarine. I don't know what it is, because at face value the ingredients are just OK. But when you get that shredded lettuce soaked with vinegar and oregano, and the not quite sure what kind of cheese it is, mixed with a true sub roll and solid deli meat. It's a beautiful thing. And the grumpy guy behind the counter, he's been there for 30 years. Different faces over the years, but it's the same guy. Just part of the experience. Never change Mr. Submarine.“

“First time trying this food. We had the Philly steak and the Philly Chicken. Both were delicious. I would have like the sandwiches to be a little more filled. It was very tasty though. “I have not been a sub sandwich eater for most of my life. I am over 50. I went to the Oak Brook Terrace location to get my wife her favorite original Italian on white. I decided to try a Philly cheese steak on white. It was the best new thing I've eaten in my life. Alecia who manages the location was so nice and accommodating. We have a franchise near our house but I will always go see Alecia for all future orders. They know what they are doing. I went back again last night and got another of our same order. I complimented Alecia and told her how happy we were with the consistency of their food and service. I hope the owner reads this. I am now a full fledge jersey mikes customer as long as the Oakbrook terrace location is open!“

“My first time every at Jersey Mikes, they yes it was about 40 min till closing. But i felt so rushed. Not a good experience by staff for my first time. Usually my husband goes in. And thats the way it will continue. I am not a fan of the service.“
