Ordered a penne a la vodka just to give it a try. We didn't expect too much of it since it's more of a "fast food" restaurant that's within the Portillos restaurant. The pasta took a little longer then our food at Portillos did but we didn't mind. Once ready, our number was called up.The dish came with a piece of bread and cheese to put on top. Excellent Italian cuisine is available at Barnelli's Pasta Bowl in a quick-service setting. The restaurant's interior is distinctly "Chicago," with artifacts and relics from the city's past. Due to the fact that the restaurant and Portillo's share a building, their menu is extensive. The chicken parmesan sandwich was delicious. Expect a crowd if you go for lunch because this is a well-liked local lunch spot.
