“I was here the weekend of lunar new year and it was packed, and lots of the stuff was gone. The stuff looked really good and my friend counts it as one of her favorite bakeries. They seem to have a lot of goodies for sale here, though as I said it was slim pickings when I visited. It looks upscale but the prices are great, really reasonable. It's nice and clean--in comparison to some of the older neighborhood staples, which are a bit dingy and outdated-looking. They're cash only, so I wasn't able to get anything here but my friend bought a couple things and the service was fast and friendly. Parking is street only.“
“One of the best DIM-SUM restaurants in the whole CHICAGO city. The portion of dim-sum in those bamboo bowls is really big; big shrimp size, yummy beef meat.Though, i really missed some delicious sauce to dip dim-sum in; such as seafood sauce (made of lime juice, crushed garlic, cilantro, green onions, finely chopped chilli, a pinch of salt/Fish sauce and small amount of jaggery). It would be really nice, if the restaurant management would include SEAFOOD sauce in their menu to offer with dim-sum.Great sitting arrangement. We reached early at 9:30 and it was already crowdy; we heard sundays are very very crowdy and long lines, so better reach early.Vegetarian options: Stir fried vegetables, tofu options and other vegetables are the only options for vegetarians. Because its speciality is DIM-SUM, which uses meat as its main ingredient.Parking: Parking is usually paid (based on where you are parking your car for getting into the NEW Chinatown to go to the restaurant); $2.50/HOURKid-friendliness: Big spacious restaurant, so sitting space shall not be a problem.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair users might need an extra hand to get into the rstaurant, otherwise it very friendly.“
“Me and my friend decided to stop by this cute sushi place since we're always passing by it. We ordered the Taylor St roll, crab Rangoon, sushi Family B, and the pepper salmon nigiri set. We also ordered the avocado smoothie and oolong milk tea. Everything tasted phenomenal especially the Taylor st roll We also got a shrimp fried rice for take out. The fried rice was very tasty, but there was too soy sauce for my preference. Overall, everything was very good. The interior design is super cute and the staff members are very friendly. I will most definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to college students looking for a sushi at a fair price.“
“Love their pastries and desserts. They sometimes have other things like dim sum and rice cakes. The service is fine, like other typical Asian spots. The ambiance is a small bakery that is mostly boarded up inside. They are cash only so please prepare. There are other bakeries nearby that will take card if you choose to go elsewhere.“
“Nice restaurant, the food was delicious but the customer service wasn't good. We ordered 6 individual small dishes to share, we didn't get our complete order at the same time. They divided in 3...we had to wait long time to see and eat all the food. Hopefully next time they have better service. They didn't offer water.“
“We went to furama for dim sum & drag! delicious dishes with lots of vegetarian options and fun drinks. Beautiful big room, perfect for the event! Employees were helpful and accommodating for dietary restrictions. Will definitely be returning!“
“I got some insider information that this is one of the better dim sum places, and it did not disappoint! I was part of a larger group (7 people) so we actually got a private room which was super nice. The only reservation system is a little weird (only Monday-Thursday available to reserve online), but I just called a couple days in advance and that worked out. Dolo has a nice selection of dim sum options, especially congee. There were so many unique ones to choose from! The preserved egg congee was great, and you can't really go wrong with any of the dim sum. We ordered a couple vegetable dishes which were also great (not too oily/salty). Compared to other dim sum restaurants, I think Dolo leaned toward having less salty in general, which I loved. Would highly recommend!“
“The restaurant has been updated with a fresh new look. Delicious, freshly prepared food and courteous service make Triple Crown Restaurant a favorite when visiting Chinatown.Parking: Although it was a very busy Saturday night, we were able to find parking in the paid parking lot. The paid parking lot is very convenient to the restaurants and to the EL also.“
“Was seated immediately w/o a reservation, even on a very busy Saturday night. Service was lightning-fast, barely had time to sit down before water and hot tea was already delivered. Amazing selection of dim sum, ordered a variety of dishes and was more and more pleased with each dish as it arrived.Cannot recommend this place enough.“
“Food always delicious!!! Service always delivers-they are the complete package!!!Food delicious hot and reasonably priced. Service is tops, ambiance is very relaxing non rushed and constantly given refills and you can enjoy at leisure Always my place for dim sum“
“I cannot stop thinking about the pork fried rice! Everything was daintily chopped and perfectly balanced. Next level delicious. However, the roast duck dim sum was not crisp and mostly bones. On a side note, there are two dining rooms; we were led to the tiny stark one although the finer of the two was not busy….“
“We always come to 88 marketplace but we have never had their food court dishes. Today we decided to try Ying Dim Sum. It was very delicious. We order the shu mai, soup dumplings, curry cuttle fish, shrimp, pork with chive dumplings, bbq pork bun and the Chinese doughnut. Everything was cooked from scratch so everything was fresh. The service was great. The ladies that took my order and served me were super nice. They always smiled and were so attentive. The ambience of course is food court vibe and family oriented. This place was very good and will definitely be back soon!“
“Dim Sum House is a hidden gem for frozen dim sum items such as siu mai (pork wrapped with dumpling wrapper). I usually go in to buy a pack of 20 frozen piece's for $8. They have other items listed at wholesale prices to anyone. Keep in mind they only take cash and there is no ATM nearby. Highly recommend.“
“$10 lunchplates are excellent: beef with Chinese broccoli, fried smelts with jalapeños...very good.Free parking at an adjacent strip mall.Zagat rated low profile restaurant on N Broadway near corner of W Lawrence in the Chicago uptoen area.“
“One of the few great Chinese Restaurants for dinner!Make sure to come early when the restaurant opens, there is usually a long line. Since this place is small, I disliked the seatings. All the tables were so close to the next. People from the next tables, front tables, and the ones in line kept staring at one another, so it was very uncomfortable to enjoy your meal.Ordered the twin lobster with sticky rice (MP varies), fish fillet with green onion and ginger, and a veg/mushroom/celery dish. All were very tasty but oily, but that's in all Chinese cuisine. Everything came out very quickly. Very nice staffs! Although the sticky rice had a good texture, I preferred steamed white rice. This place definitely brought back most noglastic flavors. Highly recommend and definitely come back for more!“
“We wanted to check out this spot after seeing such good ratings on Yelp when searching for dim sum. It's located near the dog park and residential area. It's located upstairs between other nearby store fronts. Some parts of the restaurant looked to be outdated or in remodeling phase. We got seated towards the back nearby the window with a great view of the Chicago buildings. More of the "upscale" dim sum type spot. You will not find staff pushing dim sum carts. We ordered through the tablet and food came out reasonably fast and piping hot. An order of Sui mai comes with 5 pieces instead of 4 unlike other places! No wonder the price for 1 order seemed a bit high $6-7. I guess the price and portion justifies it. Sui mai was plump and juicy. My fave! The shrimp noodle roll and pork noodle roll were alright. I wished the rice noodle roll were thinner. Slightly thicker than I would prefer. I liked the pork one more than the shrimp. My friend ordered the chicken feet and seemed to enjoy it. I ordered the tofu skin with pork & shrimp. It was wrapped in the tofu skin and it was my second favorite item here. Service was pretty good. Although the staff doesn't look like the "friendliest," they did come by to refill out waters and bus our dirty dishes. No complaints. Good food and we both left satisfied. Yum yum dim sum.“
“In my opinion this place was better than Chinatown! We had 4 couples during our excursion and sat at a big round table with a lazy Susan in the middle. It was great to order a bunch of different things and share them with each other! We will definitely be back! The service was fun and friendly.“
“The dumplings are bomb with a wonderful tasty sauce. I had the pork and shrimp shumai! They are so accommodating with the drinks. I wanted a mix of mango and passion fruit with passion fruit popping boba and they accommodated me with no problem. They were friendly and delivered my drink to me at my table. Great service. It tasted amazing! It was a tall boba drink too so great portions and a lot of popping passion fruit boba which was a great surprise. I will definitely be back and it's so close to my job in the Urban Space area which is like a large cafeteria with trendy food places.“
“You know it's legit w you see there's only 1 white people in this restaurant Tried 8 dishes, nothing's bad but some are exceptional Plum duck: not too sweet. Love the flavor. Only down side is quit bony Salted egg yolk pumpkin: so good! Love salted egg yolk on everything! The slight sweetness of pumpkin and the crispy skin with tender inside is a perfect match. Eat it when it's hot. Otherwise it'll be too fishy when it's cold Pork belly chicken stew: actually it's pork stomach. Lots of white pepper and umami flavor, great soup to warm you up in cold Chicago winter Crispy fish: a special treat from Cantonese food. They raise the fish in a special way their meat gets real crispy. Interesting texture Rice Eel with pepper: quite underwhelming but white people seems to love it. Meat is quite chewy but lack of flavor Fried rice: lots of shrimp, a decent fried rice Double layered milk: too much gelatin, not enough milk flavor but glad to have this in Chicago Nice little Cantonese restaurant just outside of Chinatown“
“The food here is always incredible. We ordered dim sum.. had shrimp dumpling and Siu Mai.. perfectly cooked.. shared an order of shrimp with lobster sauce. It was so good! (We here here yesterday too) the service is a little slow, but the food more than makes up for it.“
“First time here with my girlfriend and her parents. I gotta give this place 5-stars. I am not Chinese so can't comment on whether this is authentic Cantonese dishes - but they're from HK so I'll take their word for it! The portions here are large - we ordered the pepper steak (very very... like very tender), tofu mushrooms with Chinese peapods (amazing and almost my favorite), salt and pepper fish (crispy fried and not fishy), and scallops with noodles (amazing and my favorite). It was way more than enough and we took the rest to go. The food comes out pretty fast and I like that there are plenty of accommodations for large groups and tables for two. Last piece of advice and perhaps most important - validate parking in the lot nearby off of Wentworth. Pretty much all the stores validate including Phoenix and it's just $2!“
“We tried this restaurant based on some Facebook recommendations for authentic Chinese cuisine, and we were happily surprised at the delicious dishes. Cai has lunch specials for $12.99 which will not disappoint you. We ordered Beef Flat Rice Noodles, and Seafood Chow Mein. The portions were good sizes, and both dishes were flavorful and yummy. Very authentic Chinese noodle dishes. There was plenty of seafood in our dish: shrimps, squid, fish, and a scallop. There were also multiple tea choices ti try with your meal. $1 per person which is more than reasonable with refills of hot water in your teapot. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance is simple like most Chinese restaurants. The bathroom was so-so.Definitely worth another visit.“
“Fantastic first Chicago meal! We ordered 3 different, coconut shrimp, szechuan chicken, and one of the popular dishes, dry chili chicken. The coconut shrimp had a great crunch and sweetness, and the fried chicken was a good texture. A little too spicy for me though, with 2 pepper signs. But the szecuan chicken was perfect! The food was really good! Huge portions and we had leftovers and re-ate this entire meal again after going to a Korean spa.“
“Great service, great atmosphere, great food and super expensive. I was aching for the 6 tiny skewers at $17.I know it's the price because of the manufacturing and all the know-how etc... but I was expecting a little more consistency all the same.Despite this, the ravioli are excellent and the service is perfect.I recommend !“
