“A real gem, I gotta say this is my favorite restaurant in the city. Every time I come here the servers and kitchen staff are amazing as well as the food. I love that it’s an izakaya style restaurant, I would recommend ordering a little bit of everything to share with your table. The top three recommendations I have are: Maze Soba, Akami, and tomato bacon skewer.“

“After coming here with a friend in the summer, I decided to bring my bf here for date night because pricing is very fair/reasonable in my opinion given the crazy inflation everywhere else. There are a ton of street parking right outside the restaurant, so that was really nice. My bf loved it and we can't wait to be back again! I recently found out that my friend also came here last week and had a blast. I hope the restaurant would bring back the toro tartare donburi I had before cause it was so freaking amazing. Overall, I would come back even if this place is out of the way because of how fresh the fish were as well as the yummy skewers.“

“Service was good. Ambiance was on point. The shishito pepper was recommended by the waiter but I didn't enjoy it. My favorite was the beef short rib. Overall, the taste wasn't worth the price. We ended up eating more at a different place afterwards.“

“You need to get to here! ? This #hiddengem recently made Infatuation Chicagos list of best ramen places in the city and they’re the only ramen spot staying open until 1:30am! Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample.Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini.Go check them out for some good food and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“

“This is a small place that gets packed fast. They serve delicious ramen that by far I would consider some of the best ramen I have ever ate. I usually always get the Karaage Chicken Ramen. I love it so I always get the Large bowl. Definitely a place I will continue going to many more years to come with my fiance. 10 out of 10 stars!“

“Beautiful restaurant in the heart of wicker! It’s such a great place to stop in if you’re in the area, with a great atmosphere. The staff was really kind even though it was pretty busy so we definitely appreciated that. We had some drinks that weren’t very strong but tasted great and the food was good but not anything to rave about in my opinion. I was slightly disappointed by the serving size compared to other ramen restaurants in Chicago but it still tasted great. Overall a great place to stop in but wouldn’t go out of my way.“
