“Kind hearted people are quite rare to find as cooperate people or as individuals also. I'm sharing a 4 years friendship and business relationship i've shared with Mr Ralph Carico for being such an awesome, kind and specially oriented. Thank you for being supportive each time i buy and invest in digital stocks and coins with your firm.“
“Emmanuel and Rolina rock!Delicious cocktail creations, and a cool vibe. I already love Jaleo, who’d have thought they would have a speakeasy inside their restaurant?Recommended. Make a reservation, ideally. Credit accepted. Try the drinks with the pigs next to them…“
“It’s a great spot for a variety of craft beers on tap, and the ambience is lovely as well. The menu is nice, but it’s a little more pricey than you might expect out of a craft beer spot. That said, I agree on the prices listed after trying the dishes offered. The short rib is delicious, as well as the chicken sandwich. The service did leave a little to be desired, I kind of felt like I was looking around for the individual waiting on the section I was seated in, but overall it has always been a pleasant experience. I would bring guests here maybe the second or third time they visited me in Chicago. Not a first draft pick to represent the city, but it’s a nice place to feel like you’re part of the scene here.“
“Great ambiance, quick seating for parties of one. Super friendly staff and amazing food!! Got a vegetarian option broth, and some pork belly buns to get a taste of both things and they do not disappoint. Gets packed fast so reserve or be ready to wait a little for this amazing place!!!“
“Every dish was delicious. My favorites were the hanger steak and potatoes bravas. Gluten free dishes were done well for our coworker with Celiacs. Friendly and helpful service. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and knew how to pace our dishes. Ambience was dark and intimate but very lively with the buzz of conversation. They also were able to accommodate our large group of 10 on a week day evening.“
“We asked our driver for his no.1 recommendation for our lunch... As he hails from Galicia, he could not recommend Boqueria enough... It did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and service! Total flavor reminders from our trips to Spain, with a little twist.“
“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
“Went here for my birthday tonight! Fantastic food (comes out quick, all plates are to be shared), great cocktails and excellent wine selection, and our server Arcee (RC? I’m not sure…) was delightful and provided excellent service. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Authentic. Chinese. Street. Food!!! Here you can indulge in the flavors of food from ChenDu, which is the capital of Sichuan, in China! The spices and flavors in the dishes are so tasty. Here’s what I tried: Tempting Bon Bon Chicken Fiery Spicy Fries Delights Hot & Sour Fern Root Noodles Wholesome Wonton Chicken Soup Single Choice Hot Pot w/imitation crab meat Three Cannons ChengDu Osmanthus Cake Mango Soda Drink 芒果少女心 The Bon Bon Chicken was my favorite! It was so many flavors at once with the chili oil, soy sauce, slight sweetness and sesame oil. The Wonton chicken soup is so warm and comforting and the dumplings are made in house. I love how airy and modern the space is; there is room for big groups - which I really like. Put them on your list to visit and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“
“Stopped by while I was in town. I was left speechless by how good the banana pudding gelato is. Mouth watering isn’t the word. I’m not sure the name of the one owner but she’s a very nice person. Very pleasant, made my experience even more enjoyable. I’ll have to stop by again before leaving out of town.“
“One of the best places in the city! Great food and even better people. The service and the atmosphere are great! Great food great people and a great atmosphere, what more could you want in Chicago. It’s a very intimate location. Joe and Erik are the best.!!!!“
“Book in advance if you want a dine in. Even during the week, this place is a hot spot. It is a great atmosphere. Our server was on top of our order even though he was super busy. The patatas and garlic shrimp are delicious. I wasn't impressed with the bass and the seafood paella was okay.Vegetarian options: Slim pickings for vegetarians. As the menu is more meat heavy. But there still are options.“
“Places is absolutely beautiful. The service is fantastic. I just think that they put too much sodium on their food. I ordered the lamb chops. They were some of the best lamb chops but they were overpowering with the salt french fries as well.“
“First time here for Tapas and they were fabulous. Our server, Gabriella, however, was beyond amazing and so helpful explaining the menu choices and relaying her favorites. Also helped with wine selection. Over the top friendly and gracious! Kudos!“
“I’ve been here a couple times and it keeps getting better. If you went when they first opened you must return for an experience devoid of all the opening jitters , now with impeccable hand roles with Crispy nori for the perfect crunch. The nigiri pieces of Ora king salmon and chutoro were very tasty. The sake pours are generous and the highballs are delicious. Don’t miss out on highball and hand roll happy hours form 5-6 on wed, thur, and Friday! Overall a great Japanese experience for sushi, nigiri, hand rolls ( which are hard to come by) , and perfect highballs! There’s more to offer but I’ll have to wait until next time to try.“
“YOOOO the gilty pig is insane! They have "popped up" at my farm a few times now, and each time I am amazed by the flavors and complexity they bring to "simple dishes". They take a brat and turn it into a full asian inspired meal. Now if the food wasnt enough, this truck could not be run by two better people. They deserve all of the awesome things that are coming their way. Keep killin it, guys!“
“Our experience at Ema was fantastic. They take allergies very seriously which was much appreciated for someone with celiac disease. Our waiter Enrique was extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. All of the food was amazing we loved the Greek salad, Brussels sprouts and potatoes the most!“
“Our first time to Chicago. We were touring the Rookery building. After the tour we were hungry. We started walking towards the Federal Reserve building. Just as we crossed the alley there was this wonderful smell of steak. So we went in and found the restaurant. We shared the Steak and Potatoes with the au poivre sauce. Incredible! The wait staff were very attentive. The chef's passion came through the food. The waitress expressed this passion when explaining the au poivre sauce. Fair price. To finish off the meal we had coffee and cookies. My wife had the Fruity Pebbles cookie. She said it was like Wilma Flintstone had baked it herself. I would come visit you every week if I lived in Chicago. Thank you!“
“I have hosted two events at Barcocina West Town and they have both been outstanding. The team was very easy to work with pre-event to coordinate. Day of, they had everything ready and were very attentive to our needs. The servers and bartenders were exceptional and provided incredible service. The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone had a great time. The space was super cute and inviting. If you need to host an event - bridal or baby shower, birthday party, anniversary, graduation, or a business mixer- look no further!“
“This place is within walking distance from my house, so I decided to check it out tonight. The menu is small but the food was good and it was quite busy when we left. I took my daughter, who is 16. It was fine for her, but I wouldn't recommend taking a younger child there.“
“Amazing spot! The cocktails were fantastic. I had a mojito and an smoked old fashioned and they were excellent. Our server was so pleasant and knowledgeable, she was truly fantastic. Robert was the highlight. ? Wish i was in Chicago for longer to try the food here!“
“Small space. Enjoyed the music. We had one server who served the whole restaurant and was the bartender. Surprisingly service was still efficient. Tortilla española was delicious. However the portion size was too small for the price and was served with a ridiculous amount of green coated with a vinaigrette. Delicious for sure, but if I want a salad, I'll order a salad. Give me a larger portion of tortilla for that price. Meatballs (albóndigas) were tasty. My daughter loved the octopus. I enjoyed the paella. Perfectly sized for 2-3 people. My margarita had too much ice which gave me less drink for the price. Overall excellent food. I will definitely come back.“
“The food is outstanding! Every dish I have had has been amazing. The atmosphere and ambiance is great and comfortable. Service... the red haired bartender likes to jump in on conversations adding judgmental Christian comments. If you ask for shots on a Sunday and use the term "Sunday funday" he'll correct you saying "this is Christ's day". I've eaten there several times and somehow he's the only staff member that has waited on us and each time, he always says something religious and judgmental. The food is really good, it just comes with a side of Christianity.“
“Visiting from Dallas and this food is awesome! The flavor is bold - the right amount of spice and garlic. I think this is the best Kung Pao we have ever had. Can’t wait to eat here again because everything going to other tables looked amazing!“
“Why don't I come here more often? I think my wife wants to keep all the wine to herself. Every time we stop in here I promise myself I will come back more often. Stop by and check it out. Great selection of wine and accessories and a few light plates to keep you fueled up.“
“We came here for Restaurant Week and ordered the menu with wine pairings! Every pairing was delicious and chosen well! And the waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the notes in each wine. I'm a huge fan of beef wellington so I was a little disappointed at the portion size of the short rib wellington but it was tasty. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal!“
“The tapas selection is excellent. Each comes with ~3 servings, and there is something for everyone! Highly recommend the stuffed Spanish peppers and pork medallions. Service is spectacular - they don't judge how bad your pronunciation “
“Good neighborhood bar. Food is better than the average bar in the area, but somewhat expensive. I personally recommend the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Sandwich tossed in GSP sauce, which is basically a spicy BBQ sauce. The chicken tenders are also very good and are beer battered which is a plus. If you're a football fan the games are always on, it's a Ravens bar.“
“This is such a great spot from the food and service to the ambiance. We had a reservation which was great as it was hard to get seated otherwise, the restaurant was definitely crowded.Ambiance: Such a beautiful restaurant. The furniture adds such a nice vibe to the place. Their dishware was also very nice and clearly a well thought-out restaurant.Service: We had such a great server. There were so many good things on the menu and it was really hard to pick what we wanted to get. She was very helpful in helping us narrow things down. She also warned us that the amount of food we're ordering might be too much. She let us place the order and then checked in with us later on in the meal. She was 100% correct and we were so glad we were able to cancel our last dish.Food: The food exceeded expectations. Everything we got was so delicious and the flat bread came out nice and warm. There are so many vegetarian options we were a group of three and still weren't able to try all the options on the menu. All the items were well seasoned and has very complimentary sauces/dips to go with it.Drinks: The cocktails here were SO good! I was planning on getting a glass of wine but their cocktail selection looked so good we ended up getting those instead. They were delicious, balanced, and the perfect flavor. It's a place I'd definitely come to again if I'm in Chicago.Insta: @TheShahLALand“
“Service was good. Ambiance was on point. The shishito pepper was recommended by the waiter but I didn't enjoy it. My favorite was the beef short rib. Overall, the taste wasn't worth the price. We ended up eating more at a different place afterwards.“
“5 stars all around for this beautiful spot in the lobby of the Blackstone Hotel in downtown Chicago. The atmosphere is old-world elegant, the service impecible, and the menu, while not terribly expansive, offers such variety. Nice cocktail and wine list as well. I had the scallops which were perfect. Nicely browned and expertly seasoned The tuna tartare was just the right amount of spicy. The calamari was nicely breaded and crunchy. I loved the pistachios in the bacon-wrapped date tapas. They provided a nice crunch. The beef meatball tapas were seasoned well and had a nice crust. And the blackened peppers and goat cheese were also delicious. Everything was perfect. 3-4 tapas dishes per person makes a nice dinner, and they're definitely made for sharing. I would definitely go back.“
“Tremendously unique and conveniently quick, Saffron Street is a must-try for anyone looking for an exciting lunch option in the loop. I've had several of their 'sandwich' items, and the list keeps growing thanks to their inspired, rotating menu. The only downside is the food comes out so quickly, you only get a few moments with their kind and courteous crew!“
“We recently ordered from the website instead of DoorDash, and our order was 40 minutes late. Employees tried to say that the food was already delivered, but then claimed the delivery guy had too many orders. The language barrier was an issue. I’d recommend using DoorDash or some app in order for this restaurant to have accountability. I almost cancelled the order by the time the food was delivered.Food is always fresh and tastes great. But service is an issue.Vegetarian options: Veggie hot pot is really good, has a good variety of vegetables.“
“Made reservations with a group of my girls to have dinner that turned into into a whole dinning experience with exceptional service. Chef James presented every single item and brought out a fine selection for us to try from starters to entrées & even dessert! My favorite things from the menu were the bread & spreads along with the salmon entree- DELICIOUS. Our bartender Tanairy offered a selection of cocktails she recommended to try & did NOT disappoint. Usually I get a whiskey sour but she offered a twist to try a Mezcal sour instead & it has changed the game for me- my new go to drink! Last thing i want to say is the attention to detail was on par. One of the girls ordered a hot tea & i was really blown away with the way it was presented. It wasn’t what i expected- they brought out the tea as a whole set as a self pour with cute little honey jars to add to taste. Overall, the Gwen exceeded my expectations & i can’t wait to come back again. 10/10.“
“This is a small place that gets packed fast. They serve delicious ramen that by far I would consider some of the best ramen I have ever ate. I usually always get the Karaage Chicken Ramen. I love it so I always get the Large bowl. Definitely a place I will continue going to many more years to come with my fiance. 10 out of 10 stars!“
“If you love Money Gun, then it’s no reason you won’t love Sunny Gun!! The bright summer vibes will instantly boost your mood walking in. The staff service matches the bar so well, and they make you feel so comfortable as well as giving you suggestions to help you make that perfect decision. The prices are not too bad as well! If it’s day time and your not sure of where to go definitively stop here to start your afternoon, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Wow what an amazing dining experience! We were lucky enough to get spots at the bar in front of the kitchen on a packed Friday night and the show was impressive. Seeing this crew sling out amazing dish after another was a real treat. We tried the tuna tartare, dry aged pork and the duck. Everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. Portions were also very generous. My only regret is that we were way too full to grab dessert but hopefully we can return another time for that! Cocktails and service was also on point. This is an easy recommendation for those in the Chicago area.“
