“The most fun night I have ever had at a bar in my life, and I am old! We (my sister and I) stopped there on the way to Branson, and met so many fun, kind people from Kadie the barmaid (who looks like Sally on the Young & the Restless), to Darrin dressed like CrownRoyal Apple,to the 4 nurses from the local hospital (twin sisters among them), to a pretty gal who dances for a living, to the absolute cute guy who was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Effingham, to the many truckers who drove for General Motors, special order motorhome deliveries, meat and produce cross-country drivers, etc. Everybody knew everybody it seemed, and they knew our names by the end of the night. It was a blast! Definitely would return again! You and your regular customers are super!”

“Just ate lunch at this place. It is a food trailer parked next to a bar. A beautiful day to eat outside at their picnic tables. Food was excellent!! I would recommend to stop and try some of their bbq.😊👍”

“We visited the winery during the solar eclipse. Staff was friendly and patient despite the large crowd there for the solar eclipse party. The wine was excellent and staff was able to provide the perfect wines to suit our tastes.”

“Our second time here, and the food and service were very good. Excellent quality, and the best beet salad I think i’ve ever had. But as we were checking out, I noticed some interesting anomalies on our bill. First, an unexplained 5% service charge was added to the total, which I was unaware of. And the martini my wife ordered came in three parts. First, the martini charge was $7. Then a $13 charge was added to that because she asked for Belvedere vodka. Fine. Next, a $1.50 charge was added for the 3 olives in the martini, bringing the martini cost to $21.50. My advice, order cautiously.”

“First time here. The food was Great, the service was stellar and we will be back! My wonderful husband took me here for my birthday dinner. What a wonderful place to have a yummy Mexican meal. The food so so good, just the right amount of heat and not too salty like other Mexican restaurants I have been to. The options were so vast and I ordered the grilled shrimp dinner. It was so good and the shrimp were cooked just right. The portion was so big that I took half of it home with me. My husband opted for a HUGE burrito. I was impressed that he was able to eat it all. If you are in the mood for Mexican food, do your taste buds a favor and drive out of town a bit and eat here. So dang Good! I can't wait to go back.”

“Our family and friends were here yesterday, Sunday, to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday and our 55th wedding anniversary. The food and service were great. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness the staff showed us with a long table so we could all sit together. “Such a cute coffee shop! Coffee AND food. I always stop by when I’m in town! The place is very popular so parking can be a bit challenging at times. I only wish there were more sf options. But, they use 1883 & Monin which are the BEST syrups. So, already they are a 5 star in my book!”

“Joe’s Pizza in Effingham has the BEST wings, by far. No comparison. In addition, their pizza, pasta, subs are hard to beat. The honey pepperoni pizza is delicious. The Nashville chicken on a salad is glorious. Delivery is always on time. I order frequently, and I’m never disappointed. Great food, great service, in-house and delivery. I’m a fan, and I thank you for giving me great food!”

“I don’t like to leave poor reviews but hoping this will help the restaurant do better. We ordered at 1:09 pm, at 1:30 I finally went up front to check on our food. I did this because I saw others eating that were in line behind me. My tray with my children’s meals was sitting there, holding on cheese curds. I was able to grab my food. My bun was as hard as a rock, food was Luke warm. They should have brought my food then brought out the curds later. Also, I received 12 cheese curds, this was very upsetting considering it’s a $2 up charge for curds. Never had issues in the past, hoping just a fluke because we love Culver’s!”

“We attended a thank you dinner at the Effingham Event Center as volunteers with over 100 others. It was catered by Niemerg's Restaurant which is always great. They honored most everyone with small gifts.My wife and I volunteer at Enduring Freedom Ministries in Shumway. As a Master Mason our group volunteers for the blood drive held at the Event Center. I've done it the last two times. Several Masons from our lodge volunteered to install the youth reading stations at Lake Sara. We will finish the project in the spring. There are 25 stations for kids to read books which can be changed. It is in cooperation with the Effingham Public Library. At the end they will walk one quarter mile.My wife made 135 Christmas stockings for FISH to give to nursing home, assisted living, or hospital patients. They filled each with personal hygiene items, activity books, candy,etc. We love doing stuff like this by giving back to the community.”

“They were swamped when we stopped there. They took care of everyone in a timely manner! Our sandwiches were made to our orders. Oh, and during this very busy lunch rush the local Health Dept was there on a routine inspection. When, things slowed down the started cleaning the preparation area and restocking supplies and the food. One young man, Max, came out into the dining area and cleaned the tables. Kudos to the staff!”

“Great experience! Stopped in for some quick breakfast and was very pleased. I was seated as soon as I walked in. The waitress was friendly and took my order as soon as I was ready. She brought me everything I needed without having to ask. My food was ready in no time and was cooked perfectly to order. 10/10, thanks Denny's crew!”

“We ate there today about 3:30 and for some unknown reason 8 tables full of customers decided they were hungry at the same time, around 20 people. I found out they had recently sent most of the staff home. We had Val for our waitress. She was absolutely completely amazing! Continued smiling and checking on us often even though she was running her legs off.”

“This Long John Silvers has the best servers. And I will definitely be back to eat here! They cook to order. Meaning they don't let their food sit underneath a heat lamp. It's always hot, crisp, and fresh out of the fryer when it's brought to your table. My only minor complaint are the pot holes out in the parking lot. God love them ..they need a new parking lot. So don't judge this restaurant by it's parking lot. If I were you I'd definitely give them a chance. It is pricey but well worth it!”
