“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“

“We went at 4pm on a Wednesday. We had the place to ourselves. Once you receive your food, you are on your own to refill your drinks and grab to-go containers. No one came to check on us. There were items unavailable to try, but overall it was good.“

“Tried this place for the first time and they did not disappoint! When you walk on its a quaint little place with a New Orleans type of vibe. Food was incredible and the bbq sauce was a must try. “Stopped in and grabbed lunch on the way home from work, and let me tell you it was absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful seeing it was my first time there. I ended up getting the two meats and two sides and it was absolutely delicious, I got the rib tips, pulled pork, Mac& cheese and green beans. Portions are huge and very filling. “A friend and I dined in for lunch. One of our brisket sandwiches was a tad bit overdone. BUT, when Dominic asked about our food we told him and he GRACIOUSLY took our sandwich and replaced it along with fresh fries. Dominic was an outstanding server.THEN, Dominic told us dessert was on the house for my friend and me.THEN, when our bill came we were only charged for one sandwich and not both.THEN, Dominic brought the owner, Steve, to greet us and he was also very pleasant and apologetic.The overall experience was wonderful. “Kirk’s you have gained a new customer. My husband got a tip and chicken combo. I got a mini tip. My husband usually doesn’t allow eating in his car but we drove 30 minutes to get there based on the recommendation of his coworker. The food smelled so good I just had to taste it . One bite and it was over! We finished the mini tip before we made it to the highway . I opened up the chicken and tip combo. It was at that moment when we agreed let’s turn around and go back for more. We returned to purchase the bucket of rib tips. Barbecue is our favorite food. But it’s so hard to find good barbecue so we usually make our own. So glad we found kirks BBQ I hope they remain consistent.“

“I have eaten their twice on two separate occasions once for lunch and once for dinner. On both occasions the food was wonderful I had the hamburger and fries the first time and the brisket the second. Everything was cooked wonderfully and very delicious.The service is prompt and responsive very polite.Location is in the downtown area with street parking limited on site parking behind the restaurant.I well happily eat there again when I'm in the area.And for those concerned about it being a bar and grill there is a separate seating area with tables and chairs and some booths separate from the bar area and they have a kids menu so it is family-friendly.Con... It's an 1 hour drive to get there...Kid-friendliness: Dedicated kids menu along with a seating area that is separate from the bar area.“

“Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

I can in and was greeted and quickly informed with the knowledge and the specials as well as what they are known for, so I ordered the tips and chips and let me inform you that this order is for two people, this how much food was on the order. The tips were nicely prepared and not overwhelmed with bbq sauce. NOW THE PORK CHOPS WAS HUGE AND THE TASTE WAS PHENOMENAL WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF BURNT EDGE AND IT HAD A TASTE THAT WAS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS. I was approached by the employee who explained that the chicken is another that is good to order. I will eventually be back to try the chicken as well as place an order for those tips and chops. “The food was almost perfect I tried the Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage and it was perfect the Ribs were great just a bit fatty the brisket was a little to lean and the pulled pork was perfect. The service was great and the food came out really fast. Finally the atmosphere was amazing and super cute. All and all I recommend trying this place out.“
