This establishment also has “featured” chefs to promote other black businesses. In addition to meaty tips, you can also get ox tails and other specials. While waiting on your food, there’s a bar area so you’re able to order a cocktail. Aside from first-hand experience and word-of- mouth, I often rely on customer reviews to determine if I should support a business. As you can see, this establishment has stellar reviews (except for one idiot who clearly eats “fresh napkins” ?). “Buzzin BBQ is hands down my favorite local place to eat. I've had nearly everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. The brisket is my absolute favorite. It's so tender and juicy, just what I'm looking for. The portions are good sized, definitely worth the price. And don't look past the sides, that mac and cheese is one of the best things on the menu. Buzzin BBQ is frequently adding menu items, keeping the menu as fresh as the BBQ. The dining space is really nice and clean. I cannot recommend Buzzin enough!“

“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... The donuts are fresh and delicious. The lack of parking is a serious drawback, and I'm not walking very far to get donuts on that high crime corner. A security detail in the parking exceedingly small parking lot would go along way to securing a five star rating.“

“I had heard about this place and finally stopped in. Small spot, very clean and tidy. Owner was behind the counter working hard. We ordered brisket sandwich and ½ a smoked chicken. “Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

“Kirk’s you have gained a new customer. My husband got a tip and chicken combo. I got a mini tip. My husband usually doesn’t allow eating in his car but we drove 30 minutes to get there based on the recommendation of his coworker. The food smelled so good I just had to taste it . One bite and it was over! We finished the mini tip before we made it to the highway . I opened up the chicken and tip combo. It was at that moment when we agreed let’s turn around and go back for more. We returned to purchase the bucket of rib tips. Barbecue is our favorite food. But it’s so hard to find good barbecue so we usually make our own. So glad we found kirks BBQ I hope they remain consistent.“
