“Fast and friendly service. Good food. I did ask the waiter if they get to keep their tips and he said yes they do. He was surprised that I asked him so I explained about the review below and he said that it is incorrect; they do get to keep all their tips.“

“I've been to the poke bros in another location and was excited when I found out there was one in McHenry. It's the same great food. Consistent in quality and customer service.Parking: The parking lot is rough but there's plenty of space to park.“

I had the Bronzino, which was likely breaded in a very light cream sauce, not overpowering, beautifully done, delicate, and so much flavor. The hot bread came to the table, wrapped up and warm with the olive oil and the cheese, I really appreciate it was the owner came up to the table gave his recommendations making sure everything was good. “I came for the first time on a Thursday with my boyfriend! The waitress was super friendly and had a good attitude. The food 10/10. We ordered the fried mojarra, deviled shrimp, and the small tray of crab legs. Instead of rice I ordered pure salad and avocado with the mojarra. Everything is very rich. The drinks are also super delicious. I recommend!!!“

“We were just here for the first time on a whim and we can't wait to go back! We were the only people in the place but we were eating at like 4 pm haha. We did the garlic butter/cajun mixed Create Your Own. Loved that we could control the portion sizes and add ins. The crab was amazing, the decor was super cute for the holidays, our server was literally the sweetest, and the rolled ice cream was a surprising dessert choice but was totally delicious! My husbands wrap was delicious, and the fries were very good as well. We decided to try there banana bread pudding to go and we enjoyed it very much even after warming it up later!! “I have tried to order birria tacos in the past when visiting on a Friday. I was told it's served only on the weekend. To them this means Saturday and Sunday.We visited on Saturday and ordered 3 birria tacos. I got a plate woth 3 tacos on it but no consomme. I asked at the counter. The young woman walked in the kitchen. There was a hushed conversation and she eventually returned with a little bit of consomme in a styro cup. One of the other women came up and told me "We don't usually give the consomme with the birria tacos. We'll make a special exception this time."I have ordered birria all over this country. LosAngeles, Dallas, Houston, most recently in Franklin, KY. It has always been served with consomme. I've never had to ask for it. I am put off by this. El Rey del Pollo Asado makes good tacos, burritos, and charo beans and I'll be back for them. But is there really any reason to order birria if you have to beg for the consomme? I brought this up to a couple of my Mexican colleagues while we were at lunch and they confirmed what I felt. You order birria. You get consomme.“
