“I cannot state this with enough enthusiasm. This place is INCREDIBLE. The food is outstanding, unlike any other restaurant in the area. As for this place being RACIST?!? That reviewer either clearly did not go into the restaurant or they just want to cause controversy, as they have people of all races WORKING THERE and the staff is treated very well, like they are all family! That comment is clearly insane and looking for attention. Back to my review. The spaghetti with sausage is so authentic and delicious, the tomato bisque soup is clearly homemade and delicious! The mediteranean salad is mindblowing. This is truly authentic, homemade food and all seasoned PERFECTLY. We are always loyal customers of Lauretta's and will definitely be back!!!“

“I was running behind schedule and headed out of town on a road trip for work. I ordered a 12" double sausage to eat while driving. It was better than I expected and I wish my pizzas from this chain were consistent but this one in particular was very good.“

“Four of us had a most wonderful lunch, trying Tina's specially prepared Italian dishes and desserts. She is incredible with the love she puts into this place, her food and the decor. The staff provided great service and worked together for our every need. Tina made it even more special by singing "Happy Birthday" in Italian for my cousin. “Came with a party of 15 people. Half where children called ahead and they accommodated for us.Really enjoyed the tininess of the restaurant. Food was good. The server Robert was great. Price was a little over my comfort zone but what can you do ?‍♂️3 pastas split 6 ways. 4 where children. They accommodated with splitting plates. Honestly didn’t pay attention if they charged for splitting plates as a “service”There was nice baguette at the beginning and with the pastas you got a soup of salad. The minestrone soup was very nice !“

“Went with my friend and my sister. We started with cocktails and an appetizer of Bruschetta con Mozzarella. They both ordered the Rigatoni ala Vodka and I had the Sea Bass Pomodorini. Excellent Italian food! We were all very pleased and full.“

“We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.“

“I recently went here with my family after a colleague of mine, recommended it. The first course that we had was calamari, and they were much larger pieces than I'm accustomed to, and the breading was a little bit soggy however, the second appetizer we ordered was clams, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The rest of our meals were outstanding, and we will definitely be coming back on a sidenote from a service perspective I came with my wife and three children, one of which is eight months old. The hostess or manager offered for us to sit in a private room for the door that closes as there was some music in the background. Exceptional food, exceptional service, and exceptional people.!“

“Loved SLYCE Pizza. My wife and I are big fans of coal-fired pizza. Where I'm from in the NYC tri-state area, the best Italian food is in neighborhood family tavern restaurants and those thin crust tavern pies are cooked in super hot ovens. SLYCE brings it all back. Quality ingredients, great suggested combinations, good service and pleasant ambience. There's a lot of pizza choices in Chicagoland and we drive 25 minutes to SLYCE. There must be at least 100 pizza joints in the 25 mile radius. I'll take SLYCE. Keep up the great work!“

My favorite server --Kevin (formerly the #1 most-requested server at nearby French bistro, D&J) -- did a great job, once again, with taking care of me! For appetizer, I had the Kaluga Caviar again! For entree, I had the 22 oz. Bone In Ribeye (DELICIOUS) with side orders of creamed spinach and polenta -- all were spectacularly DELICIOUS!!! “Beyond AWESOME!!!! I just found this place online and the reviews looked good so we thought we would try it. The menu is very appetizing. We ordered delivery and it was fast, the food was hot and the delivery guy was great. The food was SO fresh! The pizza was delicious, sausage is home made and it has great crispy crust ! We also ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with sausage and shrimp and it was out of this world. The portions are big. We can’t wait to go there and dine in. You will not be disappointed!!“

“I called, placed my order and the Girl on the phone was friendly and accurate as to what I had ordered and she said my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove to my local Rosati’s in Lindenhurst Illinois 20 minutes later and picked up my piping hot thin crust, 4 topping Pizza! Everyone at the counter was friendly. I didn’t have to wait because it was ready as was promised and I was a happy camper! If you live in the neighborhood I recommend going there, you won’t be disappointed. Yummy!!!??????“

“They struggled with some quality and employees issues a while back but they have really turned the ship around in the last couple of months. The owner got rid of the bad workers and improved the pizza products significantly. Their thin crust pizzas are now the best in the area and rival many places in Chicago. A buttery crust is topped with delicious sauce and cheese. The oregano-leaning seasoning is just about perfect and toppings are fresh and tasty. The workers greet you and are very polite. They are now my go-to in Mundelein by a mile.“

“My family has been going to Maciano's for the last several years and, while there have been a few hiccups in management since we first started going there, the last couple of years have been filled with extremely good service, and really tasty food. We haven't been able to eat in as much as we used to, but we regularly get the same order every Wednesday and being it home to eat while we watch TV. The portions are generous for the price and the food always tastes fresh. One of the best qualities of the food is that it warms up extremely well no matter what you're getting, so it makes for great leftovers. The staff there are also incredibly friendly, and even on very busy days with less staff, they always make sure to keep the customers satisfied. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for an Italian restaurant in the area and wants to support a local business!Kid-friendliness: There's nothing too formal or fancy about the restaurant, and there are a few kids dishes that taste pretty good. “Wanted something different for Christmas Eve so I headed down from WI to carry -out a Chicago Classic, uncut, of course. This has been our go-to pie since we discovered that butter-crust and just the way it makes it home, still hot and juicy. Quite busy tonight. Staff was great and very friendly. “About two days ago me & my family ordered a Full Tray of the 3Chz Baked Penne & 4 lbs of beef. Both were delicious. The pasta came with garlic bread and the beef came with French Bread, Sweet and hot peppers. Honestly really good prices for the amount of food you receive.
