“IF you are looking for an undiscovered gem, your search is over! Located in a strip mall off algonquin rd and just west of Randall rd, this place has a great atmosphere, a clean and attractive dining area, and lest i forget, the food is terrific. We ordered off the lunch menu. My wife had the soup and salad and both were terrific. I sampled some of her homemade vegetable soup and wished i had ordered it. But .i was not disappointed when the largest hamburger i can remember arrived. Served on a fresh bun, it was the tastiest burger i have eaten in years. The fresh iced tea was the perfect complement to an outstanding lunch. If you are in the area, this should be your go-to restaurant. We don't live in the immediate area, but when we come to Costco, we know where we are having our lunch.“

“One of the best breakfast brunch spots around. They forgot one item in my pickup order and the manager called me within 5 minutes. I turned around and came back for the order. They were very apologetic and unnecessarily even gave me a $10 gift card.I feel that if an order goes wrong and the business figures it out first and deals with it, there is no fault. The manager at this location is top notch and this place will always be on top of my list for ordering brunch!“

“My husband discovered this restaurant has an entirely gluten-free menu and is farm-to-table. The offerings were so good! On our first visit, we began with the charcuterie board and bruschetta, then two of us had a scallop special, and my son had the flat iron steak. All the bread was fresh and excellent--not "for being GF" but just plain good. The dessert choices were interesting and my husband had the lemon poppy seed cake with a lemon sauce. And the wine list was phenomenal! A fun mix of specialty cocktails, too!We have returned multiple times and had consistently good food and service. The menu evolves to incorporate seasonal items.“

“Tatsu Ramen is in Elgin and I attempted to eat here a couple of times but failed. We arrived as soon as they opened for dinner. It was quiet and empty inside so service was speedy. The menu was really simple and I had the vegetable ramen. I also tried the spicy vegetable ramen and it was so spicy but in a good way. The ramen came to the table one notch below boiling hot. It took awhile to really get at it, but once it cooled to a comfortable level it was quite soothing. The broth was way better than I expected it to be for a vegan base. It was rich, flavorful, and slightly creamy with a velvety finish. The portion size was huge with plenty of vegetables and noodles packed in. This ramen was the perfect complement to the cold gloomy weather outside and I look forward to having more.“

“This place is great. For a full service restaurant they always have everything under control. The food is always served to you quickly, and it's hot. The employees are always friendly and kind.Kid-friendliness: The staff are friendly towards children. “We visited on Monday for brunch, so no waiting & super fast service, but this probably varies depending on when you visit. But the menu was extraordinary! Great selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. We tried 2 skillets, both plentiful and full of flavor. The pancakes, sometimes an afterthought at restaurants, were especially delicious! Definitely worth many more visits!! Great find!!“

“Beautiful & delicious gem in Downtown Algonquin.This is truly one of the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice. There is a little stage with instruments. If you are a musician the owner will let you play. There is a patio too if you prefer to sit outside. The service was very welcoming and polite. I will definitely be back for more ice cream!We had the non dairy- blueberry and also the Cookies and cream, both were fantastic!“

“The BEST frozen pizza out there based on my 68-years' experience. The rim of the crust is a warm, crumbly, "cookie" that is transformative! Impossible not to devour the entire pie. And hats off to management: the pizza was cleverly and attentively wrapped and boxed with smart instructions. That was appreciated.“

“Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!“

“My husband's birthday was great, thanks to La Pizza Via! With Ben's help, I surprised him on a Tuesday after work with an intimate dinner gathering with a few close friends in their dining area. It was the perfect setting for a quick surprise celebration. Ben took care of absolutely everything, from the ambiance to the food. All I had to do was send out invitations and get my husband there! The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. We can't recommend La Pizza Via enough – it's a wonderful spot for a special occasion.“

“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well.The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. “The food was fantastic! Fresh, healthy, and tasty. They offer a tasting of an item before you order if you're uncertain whether you'll like it. The Moroccan eggplant, carrots, hummus, and falafel were especially great. I'm a huge tabouleh/tabouli fan, but their's was not my favorite; same for the babaganoush as it lacked smokiness. That said, it's a personal flavor and texture preference and I'm sure it's good for others. It's a very small place; a few seats are available in the general common area of this building just outside the restaurant; I think it is primarily a take-away place. I will mention that the flow to the ordering/waiting/ serve/ self serve processes were a bit awkward. I'd mentored to the employee that we'd not been there before, but the person behind the counter expected us to know how they do things and didn't communicate their expectations until after they see you're not doing as they expect, e g., you don't wait for your hot drink but sit outside of the restaurant and they bring it to you, the rice which is on the salad menu and an item that we expected as part of the large sampler is actually not one of the salad options for the samplers but they provide an item that isn't even on the salad list (I had the employeepount out each item provided as they're kinda' mushed together; they bring your food to you but you get your own plasticware, napkins, cup. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously not hard, but if you don't know what's expected, it makes for service awkwardness. Street parking was fairly easy, but if it was busy on the square I expect parking would be difficult. Despite the few oddities, I'd definitely return and highly recommend for vegetarians and vegans.Vegetarian options: The restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan selections.“

“The atmosphere at Brunch Cafe in Huntley is incredibly inviting and comforting. As someone who struggles with severe anxiety and depression, I decided to stop in alone before work today. (Working on my social anxiety) Being a dog groomer, I find that starting my day off on the right foot sets the tone for the rest of my day. My waitress, a lovely redhead with stunning black nails, was incredibly sweet and understanding. The Sunday morning vibe here was just what I needed. Everyone I encountered was so kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. As I continue to work on self-love, I think I may make visiting this cafe a monthly ritual. I highly recommend stopping by - you won't regret it!“

“I came here on Monday, February 12th, with my friend for my birthday and we spent a good amount of time in here enjoying our drinks and chatting. It was so nice and comfortable inside and there was a good selection of chocolates, too. Also, there were vegan chocolate options which was good for my friend. I had the matcha latte and it was so good! I wish I would have gotten a larger size, but that means I'll have to make another trip out there to get one! It wasn't very crowed when we were there and it was rather peaceful, too, as we couldn't really hear the people around us talking. “Southern Belle's is a really good restaurant. The service is top-notch. The food is cooked fresh. The Southern Belles skillet is by far my favorite breakfast dish. My wife enjoys the Pesto Egg Benedict. Super fresh and yummy. Also the Pancakes are huge, buttery and the house syrup is excellent. Their mixed drinks, brewed drinks and mimosa's are pretty great and well worth it. I had the Chi Tea ice latte and it was fantastic. The price is good.My wife and I have enjoyed Brunch Cafe and Maple n Syrup. But Southern Belle's is by far our favorite place for breakfast. We highly recommend it and like we said the service is excellent. The chicken pho (which I've never had before) broth was very flavorful, and there was a good assortment of toppings. Were happy to have a solid Thai and Vietnamese spot so close to our grocery store (Woodman's)“

The only critique would be to to change the sesame chicken recipe because it looked and tasted exactly like the orange chicken with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. “Went to visit my mother who stays and Woodstock IL and was going to another place and I saw Papa Murphy's Pizza and it was worth the stop. I have issues with my stomach and they offer gluten free crust and dairy free cheese if you need it. They also offer regular pizza and have kid friendly options too. They are not to expensive either which is a plus and would be great for any occasion. FYI the pizzas are take and bake but the fun part is you get to watch them make them. I will visit again to try some other things.Dietary restrictions: Offer gluten free crust which is a big plus for me as it is so hard to find places to eat that offers gluten free options. “Genuinely the best burger place I've ever been to. They have decent sized portions and very speedy service. I really love the BFM burger and the truffle fries. The meat tastes fresh and the amount of fries is solid. One of my favorite restaurants.One thing to note is that if you order an appetizer to hold you over for the main course, they're probably going to come out at the same time because of how fast this restaurant is. Only order an appetizer if you're cool with eating it at the same time as the main course“

“While at this fine cute establishment me and my GF, who I love by the way. Got me a deliciously purple looking and tasting taro boba tea drink. The taste of the purple drank sticks with me to this day. BUT, such is the duality of man, that drink also haunts me to this day. For they had NO boba straws! I had to dig my delicate little hands into the ice to get the squishy rubbery balls out of the cup and into my mouth. I was mortified and my fingers were cold. My pride...tarnished.
