“I went to Dotty's on my way home from work last night. I've met Miron several times before. He is always attentive, welcoming and has a great personality. The establishment is always clean and I've won several times. I definitely recommend stopping by.“
“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you Jose and Yesenia for making our day so special! Anita G.“
“First timers and now we will be regulars! The hospitality, atmosphere and fare were outstanding! From the knowledgeable staff, the welcoming management and the hostess that went WAY above and beyond to be sure my disabled husband was accommodated from when we booked our reservation to the end of our dining experience - we couldn’t have been more delighted! See you again soon, Lardon!“
“I would probably go 4.5 but I'll round up because we did have great service. We came during restaurant week and got the four course meals. In all we got: Crab croquettes: 4/5 Kale apple salad: 5/5 Burrata: 4/5 Bok choy: 4/5 Steak dish: 5/5 Agnolotti: 4/5 Crème brûlée: 3/5 Chocolate dessert: 4/5 The salad and steak are must orders! Everything else was tasty too! The agnolotti was on the sweet side which was different but still good. The bok choy was a bit too smoky for my taste but still good. The crème brûlée lacked some flavor but the salted caramel ice cream and crispy bits on the chocolate dessert was delicious and I'm not even a chocolate person. For wine, I got the orange wine (mellower one) and the still rose. Both were good! My husband got the Chianti which was also good. We would def come back! They also have a good happy hour specials so we will try to come for that.“
“This is my second time here at chi tiva. I visit the location downtown first and second time at the Worth, IL location. My experience completely different from the first time around. I visit location downtown informing workers my first time how they offered to let us sample slushy flavors nice jester….they did not inform me of dosage and explain how it may possibly affect first timer. With that being said I ordered 50mg coffee taking a few sips and telling my sister she immediately told me to go back to check out and order a 10mg let them know it was my first time. I can say my experience second time around at the Worth location with Lori she greeted us and explained everything we were interested in getting letting us know dosages and tolerance level. I mentioned at the end I really appreciate her customer service and explaining super knowledgeable. I told myself I would probably not come back but this experience definitely worth coming back when in town. Thank you!“
“check this quaint place out and try on of their fresh pies on rotation paired with an egg sandwich and old fashioned root beer float (or any flavored soda). or maybe you want something quick like a cortado (in a glass cup!) and a scone. mmmm blueberry scoooon.breakfast snackfast fastsugar - they have something for you“
“Typically, I do not care for breakfast fare. If I must dine on it, I am a chilaquiles or steak and eggs person. Loaf Lounge has changed all of that in my 54th year. It is difficult to quantify the revolution that has transpired. Suffice to say the sausage-egg-n-cheese on English muffin with a hash brown and Kyle's Go Juice rearranged my universe so that my daily planet now revolves around this brilliant morning sun populated by very courteous and caring personnel. Lunch is equally desirable. Highest recommendation. Visit early and often. Love and cheers to the Loafers 'n' Loungers!“
“My wife and I ordered oat milk lattes and both were made to perfection. Some coffee shops tend to overheat oat milk and end up making it thinner and generally unpleasant to taste but these folks know what they're doing!Parking: Parking on the street nearby is fairly easy to find.“
“My favorite coffee shop around! The owners are super friendly, take the time to get to know you, and they really care about the local community. They also make some of the best dang lattes and drinks (better than Dark Matter, Intelligentsia, etc.). They always have great pastries and snacks on hand as well.“
“This place is a total experience! The food is delicious, the decor is artsy and beautiful, and the owners are absolute gems. my family and I went for the first time yesterday and had the BEST time. we came for some quick pierogi but stayed for the ambiance, warm welcome, and fantastic conversation with the owners. This cafe is charming beyond belief and we will definitely be back. This is the perfect place to stop in with some friends or loved ones when you are out and about in the neighborhood. I guarantee you will want to come back again and again.“
“Great bakery that just opened, definitely check it out.. better than Starbucks! They serve dark matter coffee, pastries & delicious breakfast sandwiches. I'm hooked! && the staff is amazing, it's a mom son & daughter they're just so sweet!“
“Regular here. I've been inspired by the message of HFTD ever since they did a presentation at my school. I had wanted to come here for a while, but only got the chance about a year or two ago. Since then, I have stopped by nearly every weekend. The coffee is excellent, the people here are absolutely wonderful and always open to chat, the ambience is impeccable. The staff are some of the kindest, most welcoming and accepting people I know, and I'm so happy to call some of them my legit friends. Major shoutout to the manager, he's a great guy and does a fantastic job running the shop (hey man it's Addy how ya doin') If you do stop by there is a drawing of the cafe that's behind the bar. I drew that as a commission (shameless self promo heehoo) Definitely stop by if you're ever in the area. Coming here was a great decision for me. If you're in the mood for great coffee for a great cause, look no further, and remember that "it's okay not to be okay"!<3 you guys!Addy“
“Spunky shop in a gritty part of town. No inside seating and it was way too cold to sit on the patio this morning, so unfortunately I was in and out quick and didn’t talk to the baristas cuz they looked busy. But I really liked the urban hipster look and feel (and fun branding) especially given the rough neighborhood location. And they roast their own beans so the coffee was bold.“
“My friend and I was talking about where to eat. He said he wanted a sandwich. I told him if he ever had cafe colao? He said no. So I took him. I love the sandwiches and especially the avena. He liked the sandwich. He said he will return again.“
“Donuts are really good, the hot green tea is great, and the employees are so kind! But for real though, the green tea is too goodThe only bad thing is how small their cups are. However, the tea bag is so strong that you can pour more hot water on a different cup and still use the tea.“
“Nice place but they kind of cheat you out of the cold brew; when ordering it black, they will pour less than half a cup, fill it up with ice, and then top it off with water. I like the vibe of this place but there are too many other places in the area to get coffee that WON’T water it down right in front of you.“
“Very friendly lady (reminded me of my grandma) in the front to greet you. Cute little local coffee shop. With great prices after COVID especially. Most coffee shops around Chicago area have raised their prices so was nice to spend less. Obviously i support small business' raising their prices to survive. That's life. I ordered a dirty chai and it was great! Great coffee. However was a bit sweet but that was my fault for rushing to the bathroom and not talking to the kind lady about what sweetness I wanted. ALSO the bathroom is very CLEAN. It was like a home bathroom. Please others keep it clean as well :)“
“I had a latte here and I wish (now looking at the reviews) that I would have ordered some food ?These lattes are so delicious. The vibes of this coffee shop at very pink but also very cute and not too pink. Theres street parking around the coffee shop.I went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t too busy.I can’t wait to go back and try some foodFor more reviews follow me here on google or on Instagram @audrey.pulliam ?“
“Oh my goodness! We love this place, my mom and I went to Chicago to visit my kids. My son brought us the first day we got there and we ate there for 3 days. It is open 24 hrs The plates are huge enough for 2 people Menu has a lot of options! The waitress and busboy are incredible, their attitudes and service! After dinner we had a lot of fun!!! ?“
“This is our go-to takeout spot. They have plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The massaman curry and basil fried rice are my personal favorites. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and spices. I've had the chive dumplings, fried tofu, veggie egg roll, cucumber salad. (All marked vegan on the menu which I highly appreciate). The panang curry was waaaay too spicy for me so I'm sticking with massaman. I haven't dined in but whenever I pick up take out, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere.“
“I be doing doordash n uber eats, I've been getting orders from there for a while, today I decided to order me some food got me the steak jibarito that comes with arroz con gandules and some sauce on the side n let me sayyy it was delicious, I even got me the chicken empanada n I used the sauce from the jibarito on it n omgggg sooo good. I even got a Pina colada n omg heaven. And the service was awesome everyone so nice and also lots of things to look at while u wait they have a lil boutique. Totally recommend will be coming back“
“This place carries a huge variety of magazines, including in foreign languages. That said, my favorite area to browse is the wall of books on Chicago; the various neighborhoods, unique bits of history, architecture and on & on. The cafe area excels in its own right with coffee & pastries - even vegan options. Enjoy a great cup of coffee and live music on weekends. Just a wonderful place.“
“We came to Katherine Anne’s as part of a hot chocolate crawl. The rain fell in sheets, so the casual, homey seating area was particularly welcoming. We had a flight of 3 mini drinking chocolates—semisweet, caramel, and Mexican. When I tried the semisweet, I just stared off into space for a while as my brain tried to process the pleasure delivered from my mouth. Perfect texture. Full chocolate flavor. Not too sweet. Beautifully presented. So we ordered another flight.“
“Bia's is my go to place when nothing less than comforting will do! Nothing like a DELICIOUS well seasoned, cheesy, steak sandwich on any day will do people! And...a cafe con leche and pastelillo de guayaba will make your day. Service there is great. Happy faces and pride in their work is evident with each bite. Thanks Bia's!!!“
“I adore this little spot! I’ve been coming here since I moved to the area and drag along anyone who will listen lol the food is unreal at decent prices for the quality and quantity! Their coffee is always delicious as well. The service is truly what keeps me coming back though! They are so sweet and always remember me when I stop in for some breakfast. They really make the entire experience for me personally. I am forever a fan of caribella!Vegetarian options: They are always willing to modify“
“Best local spot for gelato or food!! They always have a huge variety of gelato and ice cream flavors. I love coming here, the portions are always big as well. Their food is served hot and tasty! I also really like the small and intimate environment. I always have great service!“
“I love coming here before my weaving class. It's small and bustling but has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that invites one to sit and enjoy their coffee before you get on with your day. The coffee is well made and the pastries are light and tasty.“
“Great little spot to pick up a bite, a coffee, and read/study/ or work for a bit. The food was delicious but a bit on the smaller side for my taste. Nothing to hold me back from visiting again. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. Check it out!“
“I love this coffee shop. They were friendly, they knew me by name, and their coffee and specialty drinks are tasty. I also really enjoyed their Avacado toast. It was absolutely delicious. It is refreshing to go to a locally own coffee shop, that has a wonderful atmosphere, and great prices too. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone in the area.“
“Chef Linda Louise Klapsis's village gem, The Little Creperie, is a most delightful experience. My friend and I were warmly welcomed in, and Linda led us to the perfect table for 2 older girlfriends having a catch-up lunch.Although the seating is limited because of the restaurant's small, but smartly decorated space, it's obvious from the delicious food, that the quality is in no way affected by size.My friend and I each ordered a crepe and had enough to bring home leftovers for another meal.I ordered the Chicken Mediterranean with artichokes, spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella. It was superb. My friend ordered the special of the day which was a shrimp scampi crepe and it too, was satisfying and worth another trip.We also shared a dessert crepe - Cream Brulle - also so big we could not finish, though we wanted to eat all of it.Truthfully, to fully appreciate this little gem, many visits are required and I plan on executing this plan.“
“Best coffee shop in the area. The baristas are incredibly nice, the pastries are always fresh and fantastic, hot food is always solid, and can’t go wrong getting Dark Matter made well. Having moved to Chicago in the past year coming from a place with very few local coffee spots, I feel so lucky to have Electric Mud around the corner.“
“One of the best coffee roasters in the western burbs, and definitely my favorite coffee shop to work from. Their signature and seasonal drinks are great, plus this location also serves cocktails. Highly recommend!Parking: Parking is ample, but can be a bit tricky due to the layout of the building.“
“Best coffee shop in all Oak Park, IL, I do like the place, the atmosphere, the coffee is really really good, you should go, have some pastries or croissants. I recommend The Coffee although they have tea and other beverages. I highly recommend this place. The service is outstanding, smooth“
“Cannot remember for the life of me who recommended this place to my dad when i was a teen but we would travel from the southwest side all the way up north just to get the sandwiches here!then i got married & now live very close so of COURSE its so hype i have closer access to it.We would get the sandwich de pollo con lechon and thats what i still get to this day. And their cafe con leche is so fire. The atmosphere is so cute and the service is a 10/10 so friendly!“
“Live out of state now but still my favorite coffee place, and try to stop by whenever I’m in town. Also their service is fantastic, I spoke with someone at the mothership, Brian, on the phone who was kind enough to help me with a specialty online order. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“I've known for a long time that I can get a great cup of coffee in a pleasant and upbeat shop at Perkolator, but today I learned that they're also a woman-owned business on their Instagram page, so I wanted to hop on here and say, thanks for the great coffee and service, Perkolator. And also thank you for highlighting being woman owned. You rock and I'm celebrating your success today and always.“

“Super cute, aesthetic cafe! I fell in love with the interior design. They have a variety of food options in their menu along with their caffeinated and decaffeinated drinks with a long list of flavors for their coffee. The staff were very welcoming. The food were all delicious! Love their latte. Pay to park street parking available. I definitely recommend checking this coffee shop out.“
“I cannot speak highly enough of the quality, goodness and the richness of the products and the pure heart of the staff.. but I will! The shop + staff is truly wonderful and amazing in every sense of the word. From the design of the Matcha bowls, to the very unique one of a kind savory flavors of a variety of snacks and chocolate. Face cleansers, plant based protein shakes, dark chocolate with healing herbs, tea sets, oils, herbs. A plethora. I felt so happy stepping into the shop. I highly recommend trying a bit of everything. There is so much to choose throughout the whole shop like the bowls.. Everything is high end quality, reasonably and fairly priced and sourced. The authenticity of the energy and products of this shop is real. The lanyards are super cute. The merch items are beautiful. If you in the area, or wanting to add this place to your must stop to see, please stop by, bring a friend and explore together what is the wonderful world .. of Wonderful Matcha. Also! It brought me a huge smile to know of the organic items they have and how warm and inviting the staff who work here are. The whole process of seeing my drink made, brought me tears of joy to be transparently honest. It reached the fondness of the deepest parts of my heart with such wonder and joy. Izzy even shared knowledge about matcha making. Which I loved and appreciated learning. Thank you Wonderful Matcha for bringing these items to us Thank you for your welcoming inviting spirits. Thank you for being in the community. This is my joy place and I’ll be stopping by regularly. AND THEY HAVE AN OPTION FOR BIRTHDAY GIFT BOX MAKING. Just name your price and the staff creates beautifully put together high quality gift boxes to gift to your friends and family. AND THEY HAVE NATURAL HERB TEAS!!!“
“Michelle and her team catered my wedding, and they made every single dream of mine come true. Every guest said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of the food is unmatched. Our family is a loyal customer of the restaurant, and we have never been disappointed by the food. They truly go above and beyond.“
“omg beevlove Cafe is amazing.. I've never had a scone,I tried their blueberry scone with honey drizzle- DELICIOUS!!. went back 2wks later for another and tried the bee stinger tea with peach pomegranate I'm in love. to learn of their in-house honey harvesting and products. I'm a supporter and satisfied customer“
“Cute little coffee shop with some unique drinks and food options. Decor is nice, but sparse with a fairly quiet interior. Wi-Fi is available for working remotely.Only knock on this place is the hours, it closes very early some days so you may have to cut your work session short.“
“The best hollandaise sauce I’ve had. Ever. It’s made in house every day. And it’s PERFECT!I could wrap myself in it lol. It’s that good. The food is wonderful. All fresh. But the sauce. Unforgettable.Whenever I’m in Chicago, I come here for it.“
“Ordered a French Madeleine hot cafe with Espresso & Milk. It was soothing and buttery sweet. The ambiance is cozy and tropical with greenery plants displayed. Like sipping coffee in a mini jungle. I Also ordered an Ube cookie with oatmeal. It’s so soft and delicious. Ube is a purple yam and its flavor is slightly sweet. Overall, a nice place to have coffee and light lunch. It’s across Trader Joe’s. The only thing I wish they had was more seating. Otherwise, it’s quite a treat to have coffee & snacks.Christine“
“This place is amazing. I went to NO a few times in my youth. The first time I went I got red beans and rice right on the street and decided I probably never needed to eat anything else ever. This place brought that back to me. Through sausage on it. Might be gilding the lily but maybe some lily’s like it.The rigamaroo was so freaking good. The po boys were spicy and deliciousThe gumbo. Lord the gumbo. The flavor, then”juice” the gravy…whatever it’s called.l. So good…but I want it to have shrimp in it though…or maybe crawfish…but I might die of deliciousnessCountry music makes me very sad so I took one star away for ambiance. It is the old school stuff so only one point taken away.“
“I stopped by BlackBerry market on yesterday and the atmosphere was busy but flowed smoothly. The smell of coffee was invigorating and I got the drip coffee , a chocolate chip cookie, iced peppermint coffee and a raspberry lemon muffin!! Service was smooth and effective, the breakfast items were yummy and fresh!! The coffee of the coffee!! Strong yet tranquil!! Fresh drip is self serve!! Loved that! The iced peppermint coffee was just what I needed !! Let me say this.. after breakfast and coffee.. I came home cooked a full dinner and washed clothing and was done before 1pm! lol energy!!!! Definitely will go back and recommend!!“
“Just as delicious as the original Lazo’s, owned by the same wonderful family. The croquetas, sweet plantains and guacamole were exceptional. We missed Cuban food after moving here from Miami. This is the next best thing to Abuela’s cooking.“
“Went in for the third time yesterday for a quick lunchtime snack and caffeine. On the recommendation of the baristas, I ordered the ham and havarti croissant and a coffee. Both of the items were excellent. The environment was comfortable and well designed for either relaxing or for light work. Left feeling overall pleased with the experience and would definitely return to Vigo again.“
“Golly Gumpers! This place will make your mouth water, your tongue tingle and your wallet bleed. Not only do they craft artisan sandwiches on fresh like God's air bread, they have the best Macaroni salad that would put mehmay's bbq to shame. Once you are teleported into a food coma from the array of bad decisions you made for your summer diet, wash it down with a fresh double chocolate cookie that will make you levitate from the excitement. If you have some extra penny's to rub together, try your luck at the slots. Only the most elite of our society gamble here since the PD is across the street. No having to worry about the local creep in a puffer jacket and ski mask in July, whew! If you are really feeling freaky, try the shrimp. I hate fish like Trump hates the truth, but my wife says it's Fire! Happy eating and competing!“
