“It was my first visit to Krekel's, so I was a little slow and clumsy with my order. It was just after 11am, so they weren't busy yet. Anyway, I didn't see a soft drink menu, so I asked the nice gentleman, who was taking my order, what do you have? He mentioned having several Coke products. Then, my son asked if they had Coke Zero, and he said yes. Problem solved. The lady cashier, next to him, said that 'we don't have time to hold your hand, the drink menu is over there'. I'm not sure if that comment was intended for her co-worker or us!! In any event, we felt a little humiliated. At least she didn't say 'No soup for you'!!... No big deal, she seemed to know all of the regular's names, and she was an excellent worker bee. Overall, my order taker was friendly, and the food was great!!“

“My first time visiting after hearing a lot of people talk about it. I recommend getting a double burger since the patty is thin. This place reminds me of “steak and shake” back when it was good. The brownie dessert is big enough to share for sure! Unfortunately the chicken car is no longer there. A must stop while in the “D town”.“

“Love the burgers, fries and lemon cones. It is clean and provides an option for indoor as well as outdoor dining. I returned to explain that a phone was lost and it shows up on "Find my phone" at Krekel's. Staff members had not found it, checked the table where we sat. I left a message with the cashier, in case it is found. Concerned that it is STILL showing that it is at Krekel's after I returned home.“

“Came here for lunch with coworkers. They highly recommended it. Food was SO GOOD! I had a Cuban sandwich and a cup of potato soup. Service was prompt and friendly. I’ll definitely be returning to try more items!“

“I went in to hot shots expecting your normal bar atmosphere.. let me tell you what I got was above and beyond between the staff and experience I couldn't have painted a better picture of how a place should be I was welcomed with open arms and friendly faces , decatur has a few places that are fun but none with the people involved here if you want a great experience request Cassie or marina. Either one will make you smile and feel welcome ! Aaron is a people person and knows how to make a person feel involved the environment was a new experience to say the least yall got to check it out !!!“

“If you are looking for a fancy restaurant, this is not your place, but the food was so good and prices so reasonable that this is the place for Mexican food in Decatur. My daughter who is a poor college student says they will load up cars and drive across town for their tacos.“
