Service is great.Vegetarian options: Nice variety in the vegetarian section of the menu. I tried tofu tacos and avocado/black bean tacos. Both were excellent.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has at least 10 meal choices.“

“My favorite local Mexican! And it's not like there are no options. This place is simple. You order at a bar similar to Qdoba or chipotle. I love their bowls and tacos best. But I've never had a bad meal here. It's always clean and there is plenty of dining space. If they have a weakness is in their hot sauces. They don't have anything that really hits the spot for me. But the queso is good and their chicken nachos are excellent! Give it a spin. I think you'll be happy.“

“I’m from out of town and this place is as authentic as the Mexican restaurants I go to in Chicago. From the atmosphere, the music, and their salsas made me feel back at home. It was hard finding a Mexican restaurant that was good out in this area most of them lack that real Mexican authentic taste. Waitress was extremely friendly as soon as me and my co-worker sat down she brought out chips and salsa(at no extra charge),she also brought out this home made salsa to go along with the chips that had a great taste. I ordered the 3 taco meal (1-chicken,1- Al pastor & 1-carnitas) with rice and beans but opted for double rice instead. The food came out very promptly and the meats tasted fresh, they didn’t taste like they sat all day in a pot. Both of their green and red salsa were amazing. They also use standard 6” tortillas not like some of these places in the area that sell you a 4” taco, that’s not a real taco. I also got a medium horchata that was very tasty and it complimented my food. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for real Mexican food or anyone who knows real Mexican food you won’t be disappointed.“

“Small but mighty in flavor for both food and drinks The carne asada charo is nearly inexplicably good. Tender and a flavor explosion The orange colored medium salsa looks strange but you forget about that given the spice and in a few moments you just want to drink it The original margarita is a proper one with real lime juice. If you want a sweeter one opt for the house margarita Great family business serving up the best tacos. So simple, so fresh, so good so cal!“

“The married husband and wife owners were amazing. They were very kind and accommodating. I like how they’re intentional with writing thank you notes, introducing me to their menu, and food served fresh to order. I received the taco Tuesday special, with an order of French fries. I don’t mind supporting this business again! Next time, I’ll request cheese on my tacos.Thank you ?“

“Went out for dinner around 7:30. Pretty busy on a Thursday night. Sat down at bar immediately by myself. Got chips and salsa and a drink fairly quickly. After that it took about 15 minutes for someone to come around again ( after I got their attention) to ask me for my food order / another drink. I got another drink and some more chips and waited for food, I got the steak tacos. They came out wrapped in tin foil? No cilantro and no onion. Kinda weird. So I had to ask for that and some limes as well. Rice and beans plate was piping hot. Anyways. Good meal food tasted really well just odd service at that time. Would recommend still.“

“We had a late dinner over the wknd after a long day at vball tournament. We drove 20 min to get out of the city to hopefully avoid the vball crowd. It worked, not many people there. Our service was great and our delicious food arrived quickly. If ever passing through that area again, we will absolutely eat there again!“

“This is the best Mexican restaurant on the east side of the river. (Maybe on the west, but I don't get there that often.) Wed usually go for one of their lunch specials, but I have also tried a variety of dishes and have never had anything I haven't liked.“

“Wonderful staff and amazing food, it's a step above local competitors. Price is get for the value provided and I had a phenomenal churro there. Tip your waiter, lots of options for cheap and expensive dining.Vegetarian options: There is a decent vegetarian menu with clear consideration for the vegetarians in our livesKid-friendliness: They were wonderful with my two autistic brothers and have a kids menu for picky eaters or just parents trying to save a buck.“

“I was excited to try Fusion. On this visit I tried the Indian cuisine. It was pretty good overall. Otgers had the cheeseburgers and both said they were really good. The server could not have been sweeter. However, we waited quite a while for them to take our order. Drinks didn't come until the meal was served. Asked for additional chips and never did receive them. I would not hesitate to go again. Hopefully they were just short handed on this visit.“

“The restaurant is actually a really cozy place to eat in at, the seats felt comfortable and the server I had was very pleasant. The food tasted really good, reminds me a lot of the food out in Texas, the only downside I feel is the meat aside from the shrimp is lacking, the veggies overpower them on the plate because they’re small pieces of meat. But the taste makes up for the lack of meat. Overall it was a good experience, great place to grab some food out in Troy.“

“The food we ordered was good but I know it can get better, I'm not hating, I definitely recommend this place and I hope that those in the kitchen will embrace all the spices mexican food is known for. I really wish they would use fresh tomatoes for the salsa they make instead of canned tomato juice. The server we had was excellent and the food arrived promptly.“

“It is a great place with the best food, good service, and attention to every detail. That’s my go-to spot whenever I visit St. Louis. All the workers are nice and kind. The only downside of this place is its location because they don’t have an easy way entrance and exit, but otherwise, I love the place. Thank you for your service!!“

“Was told this has some of the most authentic Mexican food in the STL/IL area and i can't tell you how spot on that was. Placed a pickup order on a Saturday night for their quesadilla 3 de Mayo and steak asada tacos. The order was ready in no less than 15 minutes and was able to pick it up quickly. The quesadilla was huge and had great taste. The red and green salsas that come with the order were unbelievable and an absolute must to add with the food. The steak tacos were also very juicy and lived up to that very traditional street taco. This is a must go to and i will be coming back very soon.“

“I consider myself a taco enthusiast and have been to many restaurants all around the United States and Mexico and this was one of the best I have ever been too. The food was phenomenal and well priced, the staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly. The market attached to the restaurant was also nice it had a large number of various Mexican snacks and candies as well as the standers cooking essentials.“
“Authentic Mexican restaurant with a deep menu of delicious choices! The service was attentive and the Margaritas were delicious and not too sweet. We enjoyed the Camerones cocatel as an appetizer. Molcajete was spicy and delicious--and huge! Mojarra was crispy and fresh. It was a Monday so there weren't many people in the place, but there was a constant flow of a few tables. Everything was clean and I would return for a real local experience. The grocery store attached is also pretty cool with lots of spices and a meat counter.“

“In a world where meaning is as fleeting as the foam on a wave, there lies a place where even that transient foam seems to crystallize into something almost tangible. La Fonda Restaurant, a speck on the vast, indifferent canvas of the universe, manages to capture a moment of culinary delight that borders on the absurd for its sheer audacity to exist and please. The Seafood Molcajete, a chaotic amalgam of marine life, succumbs to a harmony so profound that it mocks the very notion of discord. Each ingredient, seemingly insignificant on its own, unites in a symphony of flavors that challenges the palate's comprehension of pleasure. The Mexican guacamole, a simple concoction of crushed avocados and spices, transcends its humble origins. It stands as a testament to the beauty that can emerge from the most basic of elements, offering a fleeting reprieve from the inexorable march of time and the entropy it heralds. In the grand scheme, perhaps nothing matters. But within the walls of La Fonda, for a fleeting moment, the absurdity of seeking meaning in the void is forgotten, drowned in the depths of a molcajete and the simplicity of guacamole. Here, at least, there is flavor. And perhaps, in the end, that is enough.“

“The food was actually really good. We decided to have dinner with our friends. Mariachi's was a last minute choice bc every where else we wanted to go was closed. None of us had eaten there before... In the end, it was a great way to close our day.“
