“Great service even thou they're Looking for Help! But other than that the Man Took care of People With Respect an Grace but they Do Need a Front Clerk that are Willing to Work an Wants a JOB! An Has a Great Personal Attitude an Very Polite an That is a People Person... Now the Food is Great, Cooked just like I liked an wanted it,an the Atmosphere Nice an Clean in an outside of the Restuarant I Hope that it Stays that Way!!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! ?? ❤️ an ✌️“
“Excellent service. The guys who worked there were friendly and accommodating. However, I was disappointed to hear that the chicken po'boy was no longer available. The chicken options were underwhelming, with only wings and tenders available, and no sandwich alternatives. Having said that, the chicken was spicy and the fries were flavorful.“
“I ordered chicken kalamaki & lemon potatoes. I am picky eater and I was pleasantly surprised how amazing both items were. Tender juice chicken and garlicky lemon potatoes, mmmmm!!!! Ordered take out, but the restaurant was packed! I really loved the ambiance. I’m looking forward to dining in!“
“Worth the wait and must try! Beautiful and unique venue in the unassuming town of Des Plaines. Our server was kind and welcoming, food was delicious, drinks were fun and tasty. The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. Looking forward to trying the brunch and the outside patio... overlooking the water.“
“The attention to detail this restaurant has is unmatched. Was greeted with complimentary soup and each table was purposely separated by a translucent curtain. Food was fantastic, and great portions for an upscale meal. Must visit if you want an intimate, romantic dining “
“This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is good, service excellent, and atmosphere nice. I had dinner here and they had a new spring menu. My only complaint is that the food menu is a little limited; I would have expected more options. I had the salmon, which was very good, and paired with an appetizer of the crab cake. Finally, the wine selection is more than sufficient.Parking: Parking is not an issue: plenty of space and easy to find.“
“My father introduced my family to Hagen’s 50 years ago. He would go fishing on Lake Michigan and bring his fish here to have it smoked. Hagen’s was a staple at our house during Lent. So nostalgic for my family and I. No one else compares to their fried shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce. Just stopped in today to get some. Was met with great service and given the same great quality of shrimp as always.“
“Lawrence fish market always hits the spot. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of them! I don’t know how many times I’ve ordered from them before, but I’ve definitely ordered 6+ times. My man and I always get some kind of Maki tray and some extra rolls. 10/10, so worth it. It’s cash only btw!!“
“Awesome steakhouse in Rivers casino! We love Gibson's/Hugo's downtown, so it's always fun to go to this location at the casino. Steak, salads, cocktails, wine, desserts, all amazing! Service is great and the manager always seems to be around and checking in with tables. Always a fantastic experience“
“An amazing hidden gem in the heart of Albany Park! There are few Colombian restaurants in Chicago, but this one competes to be on the top. The arroz paisa is a pleasure if you are a meat lover. The arepas are huge and delicious. Portions are what you pay for. Bring an appetite!“
“If you want true Italian cooking and a friendly atmosphere, then Mangia Napoli is the place. I cannot express enough how great the food is! Thank you to Fonz, Eddie & Vinnie for the excellence in food. Fonz the Zuppa you prepared for our anniversary was beyond excellent! Many thanks“
“Sherard and Stephanie are the best. They alone are a reason to go and enjoy the great food and atmosphere this place creates. But if you do go, you must try their New York strip steak, delicious and cooked to perfection along with their truffle fries. Their cocktails are also very good, strong. It is an expensive experience but it's a worthwhile one.“
“This place offers an elevated seafood dining experience with superior ingredients, precise execution, and classic presentation. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a classy and warm atmosphere, with stylish furnishing and subtle nautical touches that evoke coastal elegance. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the lighting carefully highlighting each dish to the backlit menus for easy viewing in the lower light. The scrupulous attention to every aspect of the meal poured over to the flavors and food as well. The meticulous preparation ensured that every dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the freshness and quality of the seafood, making it the ideal place for a romantic dinner or a special celebration with friends and family.? What I Tasted: The raw Yellowfin Tuna appetizer was incredibly fresh, complemented perfectly by creamy avocado and an order of half dozen plump and just enough grinny west coast oysters. For the main course, the buttery and succulent Chilean sea bass was cooked to perfection, nestled on a bed of risotto with a ting of sweet sauce that enhanced its richness. Dessert was a delightful classic crème brûlée, providing a sweet ending to a fantastic dining experience.? Standout Feature: Turlucks excels in the little details that make a big impact. From curated flavor combinations to attentive service and exquisite décor, every aspect of the dining experience is carefully crafted. Things you never would think of, and I never seen before, like the De la paix à la résistance, innovative backlit menus and thoughtfully designed lighting provide ease of viewing in lower light (or older eyes) and most of all elevate the atmosphere and enhance the overall enjoyment of the meal.⚠️ What Was Mid: While Turlucks shines in its seafood offerings, traditional steak and sides are good but may not always meet the same high standard. For the ultimate dining experience, I recommend sticking to their seafood specialties.“
“I ordered the taco dinner with al pastor and steak. The portions were well served and the salsas they have are tasty. They bring out a small bowl of soup when you sit down and it was great way to start the meal. The micheladas are also great. I will definitely return and try something from their seafood menu“
“Came here with my wife while we were in town for a marriage conference. It was a busy Saturday night, but we had a reservation so the wait wasn't bad. Service was excellent and they got us helped very promptly, even with the full house!I ordered pollo marsala (pictured) with The Godfather (drink). Both were excellent! My wife ordered the pappardelle al nonno and she liked it as well. Great atmosphere as well. Would recommend the high tables if you're on a date as they're a bit more tucked away.Parking: We went on a Saturday evening (6:30 reservation) and didn't have any issues finding parking. Used the side lot which is shared by the other businesses nearby and found a couple spots immediately.“
“Carmen, our server was fabulous. Table was quiet, which was very nice and we felt our conversation wasn’t listened in on.I selected the skirt steak with the chimichurri. My fiancé had the sea bass on special. Antipasto to share as an appetizer. Bread was warm, butter whipped.Cocktails were good. Would absolutely come back again. The only weird thing, the chairs are leather. The seat I had was clearly stained, not sure what with, but it wasn’t wet or sticky. But the brown stain was a little off putting, but I totally forgot about it once I sat.“
“Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.“
“Great food, the chicken was outstanding and the service couldn’t be better. It had this comforting atmosphere and wouldn’t change a thing about it!Kid-friendliness: The owner is very kindhearted and trustworthy! He treated my son very kindly and even helped him by giving suggestions based on his favorite foods!“
“We were seated at a booth in the bar area. It was comfortable but the noise level was a bit elevated. Would have preferred being seated in the dining room. Our server was attentive and courteous. Both of our cocktails were incorrect, but the bar order was rectified. Food was tasty and ample. The cioppino was way too spicy (hot). Chef went overboard on the red pepper flakes. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and we would recommend Devon to others.“
“The variety and healthy choices keep me coming back to Poke Okie. Whether I'm really hungry or just want a drink, this place is great. I love the Blue Avocado smoothie and I like the options in building my own sushi bowl. The place is modern and the staff are very friendly.“
“This place is the place to be if you're eating with a big group. Tapas are always such a great way to bond with others and share delicious food -- essentially sharing everything and tasting all sorts of flavors.Lisa was a fantastic server and I would recommend her over and over again.Emilio's Tapas Bar is A MUST GO.“
“Sergio was AMAZING! Excellent food , excellent drinks, excellent environment! I got the honey margarita and my friend got the white sangria , both EXACTLY what we wanted. So refreshing! Sergio's recommendations were right on! The Scorpio Burger and Grilled Chicken sandwich blew us away! Can't wait to come back!“
“This was a great place for authentic Mexican food. I rate restaurants not on how fancy they are but on several factors. It starts with chips and salsa, then basic items like tacos (steak/al pastor), then enchiladas. I had tacos (steak, pastor and chile relleno). All were great. Of course service and cleanliness is essential. I highly recommend this place.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by everything; service, food & cost. Will definitely be going back for more. Had skirt steak & eggs with pancakes instead of toast. The cut of skirt steak was proper length, width & thickness. No weird thin cuts here. Also, the pancakes are amazing. The waitress was so friendly & attentive that she is the gold standard & one of the best I've had anywhere, my entire life. Nothing over the top of phoney, just a darn excellent person.“
“First timer here and I will be back. Great service— perhaps due to time of day and it not being busy— but the servers were constantly asking/making sure I had enough side dishes and/or if I needed anything else.My meal came with refillable tea which was very nice. I got the bulgogi bento box and it was really delicious and worth the money for everything I got on my plate. I would love to try some of their other staple dishes as well. The vibe of the place was nice; they had k-pop music playing and a very clean aesthetic. I’ll def add this restaurant to my rotating list of staple places to eat at.“
“I enjoy this restaurant. They have a great bar and make a wonderful old fashioned. Their oysters Rockefeller are out of this world. Best I have ever had and I’ve been to Antoine’s. Crispy chicken wasn’t. It was in a sauce and wasn’t special. Cheesecake Factory has better elote, and Jimmys hotdogs on Grand has better fries. We have had the steaks in the past and they are very good. Yesterday was like eating at a McDonalds playland. The couple seated after me saw where the host was going and said no, they wanted the remote room. I’ll remember that. You can at least have the adults in a quieter area. The service wasn’t great. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come and get the drink order. Not exaggerating. A group who came after us were served dinner before we got our appetizers. The host came over often but it seemed kind of odd. They couldn’t figure out how to give us separate checks. But I’ll go back and have oysters as an entree or a steak.“
“I had dinner here while traveling. Great spot. Sat at the bar. Had a Caesar salad, fire baked bread, and the prime rib, plus a bourbon. Food was excellent, service was really good by the bartenders who waited on me as they did not rush me to try and turn customers which I really am a fan of. 5 stars, would eat here again.“
“I wish I'd taken some pics of the inside of this cozy little seafood wonder. While their menu is extensive, I'd been craving fresh oysters since New Years. That's what I went in for, having called first, just to check.I ordered 3 plain and 3 preparado oysters, which was a special request. to the chef. While I was waiting, I got a nice bow; of seafood broth with a large shell-on head on shrimp. Delightful!Unfortunately, Google isn't letting me upload the video I took. This is a hidden gem. I hope more people will go there for late lunch, as I did.“
“Got a drink here on Saturday night and there was more than enough space for us! I liked how we got to decide if we wanted to sit on the quiet side or the bar side. The signature mule was amazing and my partners drink was made exactly to his liking.“
“the food is great, fresh and hot, and the service is great. Drinks are great. Music is great, just a great vibe. You can't go wrong, go check it outParking: park in the lot or on streetKid-friendliness: they can play games while eatingWheelchair accessibility: right on corner“
“I love a place that does one thing really well. And Frank's does fried fish well. I ordered the Chicago Gulf Shrimp and they were perfectly cooked. Crispy outside. Meaty inside. I got it with the mild sauce which is this nice mix of smoky and sweet. I also had a side of the Fried Cauliflower and loved those. If you can, bring cash to save on your bill. Looking forward to coming back for more.Vegetarian options: Outside of the Fries and Cauliflower I don't think there's much here for a vegetarian.Parking: If you can find parking on Irving Park you'll be fine.Kid-friendliness: There's no kids menu. The smallest amount you can order is a half pound. So depending on how much your kids eat, they should do fine here.Wheelchair accessibility: Ordering shouldn't be a problem. Everything is on the first floor. Dining in may be difficult at there's only one counter that's about four feet high.“
“The best burger and fries I have had in a long time. I'm not a big special sauce person but whatever they put in theirs is everything. Soft buns and tasty burger which they stated they make in house. If you're a fry snob like me these are fresh hand-cut fries. I will be back.“
“From the moment you walk in your greeted with a big smile and heartfelt welcome. It really sets the tone for a great dining experience. On top of the amazing service the food is amazing. Had the stuffed calamari and Veal Marsala. Will definitely be coming back more often.“
“Been coming here for years!! With new owners this place is still a gem great customer service very very nice staffI drive an hour just to come and eat my jumbo shrimp !! Always fresh they have much more to choose .. I recommend this place to anyone that love fresh hot delish yummy Shrimp and much more“
“Service at Hemingway's is always wonderful. Onion soup is always outstanding! My husband's steak was excellent. Chicken pot pie was under salted and sort of flavorless. Everything could have been about half the size. Lovely setting, but tables are very close together. On Valentine's Day, the crowded atmosphere was a little overwhelming. I have had better food at Hemingway's on many occasions, so I will still go there and recommend it to friends.“
“I think the people rating less than 4 stars are the same ones that say Taco Burrito King is delicious.. yuk, don't trust them. I'm Mexican and grew up in a Mexican household. Verde Avocado is the CLOSEST Mexican food that actually taste like home. Authentic zesty flavors, authentic salsas, authentic/best Horchata I've had. I order from this place at least once a week. Service is always great and staff takes pride in their restaurant.“
“(Translated by Google) A very cozy place with a nice atmosphere. Delicious food and drinks, I loved it. I will definitely come back.(Original)Un lugar muy acogedor y agradable ambiente . la comida y las bebidas deliciosa , me encanto. Definitivamente volveré .“
“I went there today and I had to write a review. I found them on Google and live in a near by neighborhood. The food is delicious!!!! The restaurant was very clean and hand sanitizers were everywhere. The customer service was great!! I’m so glad I found them and don’t have to travel the city for jerk. Keep doing a great job!!!“
“It is difficult to taste a dish with a Mexican flavor here in Chicago, it is difficult because most restaurants lose the seasoning oerooo wow I was surprised at this restaurant. From the moment you enter you can smell beautiful Mexico.now the service is incredible, super attentive and friendly, in my case I ordered some shrimp in the eye. And they served it to me very quickly, in about 5 minutes, the other dish, sautéed shrimp, took about 15 minutes. The fish ceviche was super delicious. The garlic shrimp is very very delicious, the dish is very delicious, with the French fries, the rice is very very deliciousIn conclusion, if you want to feel like you're in Mexico, come eat here, you won't regret it.The cost is good, because they serve you michooo in each dish“
“Not easy to find a better pizza place than this. Cheese blend is top-notch, sauce is tasty, and the crust stays crisp.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating toward food allergiesParking: Neighborhood parking, never more than a block or two“
“The food & service were great! Kelly was an excellent server and so patient with my autistic little brother. We enjoyed our burgers & the wings were great.Only con is that the women’s bathroom smelled horrible. It appeared to be clean, but the smell was really bad. Perhaps some bleach or re-tiling would do the trick.Overall, great experience. I just wouldn’t use the bathroom there.“
“The food at Saban's can't be beat. We had the pork chops. They were cooked to perfection, delicious, beautiful presentation, plentiful amounts enough for another meal. The service was great. And the prices are like going back in time. I seriously don't know why anyone would want to eat any place else.“
“Had the porkchops, it was enough for three people and was incredibly good. The restaurant is a well oiled machine, just getting people in, fed, and out the door. Everything was fine, no complaints. Just not relaxed and quaint for my taste but this is what you should expect from a good steakhouse in the center of a popular higher end shopping center. We went on a Saturday night and Parking was a nightmare.“
“I almost don't want to write this review. I feel that this hidden gem is going to blow up, and then I will not be able to just walk in whenever I want. This is a new-ish place in the northwest side of Chicago and it was a pleasant and surprising addition to our neighborhood. The place is big and nicely decorated and boasts an incredible Mexican inspired seafood menu. The drinks are wonderful! I just can't say enough about them. Very upscale and very delicious. We ordered the Levanta Muertos, and the salmon à la Plancha. Both were amazing! The levanta muertos has this Nayarit sauce that is silky and elegant and a delightfully complex. Similarly, the Salmon has a hit of it and was to die for.All in all, a Great experience and will definitely be back!“
“I'd like to state that while the food was delicious for the price and atmosphere I unfortunely became very underwhelmed. This was my first time dining at Fogo and thought that Oak brook would be an excellent location. To my disappointment the experience was not to my expectations. Staff was friendly and food was fresh. However, at times staff forgot to bring me a plate after having taken it. I had food spilled on me twice which left my arm sticky. I understand accidents happen but thankfully I didn't bring a light shirt or else that would've been ruined. While walking around the salad bar I slipped. Floors were very slipper. Did not seem clean or safe. I Came for the food but also was expecting a more nicer ambiance.I hate being so critical. This experience could've been great but the setting wasn't for me. Staff is great and maybe just the nerves got the best of them. I'll give it that. Here my recommendation. Tables should be spread apart just a tad bit. They were so close I felt suffocated. Woman also bring bags and I had nowhere to set my bag down.I will come back however the fancy experience I thought I would have did not happen. To me Fogo is unfortunely one of those places where you come to just stuff your face. If you expect to have a fancy experience lower those expectations.pros: come hungry, leave satisfieddrinks were greatthey provide fresh cutscons: setting is not the besttables are too closefloors are stickyit is messynot fancy/ more chain restaurant vibesIn all I do recommend.“
“Wow what a Jem! As soon as I walked in everyone was so friendly and the place was inviting. Jessica was our server and she was Fantastic! The food was Delicious! I have gone to every restaurant in Oakbrook but you guys are definitely the BEST! We will be back as we are foodies!“
“Beyond expectations! Countless memories of a night filled with joy and celebration - thank you Valladolid Banquet Hall for making my daughters quince amazing. Very emotional seeing my daughter's dream exactly how we envision it coming true. Beautiful decor, service was great, and the food was delicious. We can't wait to be back. Please keep us up to date with any upcoming events! Thank you Valladolid Banquet Hall again.“
“What can I say other than get ready to party! This is a fun, lively and serve very tasty dishes. It's a culinary party for both all of your senses!Let's take this journey together. We come here to celebrate, birthdays and special locations, and it never disappoints. Last visit was for mom's birthday as this is her favorite place. It was eight of us, and since this place does not take reservations, there was a bit of a wait. About 30 minutes. That is the only thing that I do not like about this place, they do not take reservations.Everything else is great. We ordered a ton of different items from the menu, and several birthday margaritas were slid around the table.Ceviche MixtoMolcajete Mar y TierraCarne TampiquenaMar y Tierra Mi CompadreLevanta MuertosCamaronesChapuzónJust to name a few. They were fantastic! The cuts of meat were pleasant and high quality. The seafood was good size and flavorful. Drinks were flowing like the ocean these ingredients came from. The weekend mariachi came over and serenade mom with her favorite Mexican mariachi songs and a traditional birthday song. What a great time was had by all!“
“We do steaks and king crab legs every Xmas Eve. We checked a number of places for king crab legs. Many didn't have them, OR had the crab clusters. Not the same thing. Supreme Lobster had them, and much more. We'll be going back thru the New Year for fresh seafood!“
“I came here at 10pm and left at 10:45pm waiting for my food. They had a mix up with their printing of the orders. I had my sons with me. Good thing about it is they apologized and gave me extra food for my trouble. I was really tripping at 1st until we spoke and they were able to explain what actually happened.“
