“This was our first time in as we just moved to the neighborhood and we loved it! We had come from dinner but decided we wanted some snacks. We had the fried pickles, pretzels, & ice cream with churros-- I was surprised but oh so happy they had some kind of dessert. The bartender was a super nice guy-- very friendly. He checked on us often and never left us waiting for anything. The interior was really cute and about what you expect for a corner/ neighborhood bar. “We heard their fries were awesome and had to give it a try. We chose to go around 4pm on a Saturday and beat the dinner crowd, sat at the bar and had speedy service all around. They also have wood bar toppers to give you for food orders at the bar since the way the bar top is originally built isn't the best for eating. There is a decent tap list and their duck fries were as good as claimed. I can't speak for their busier times but when we went it was clean, we were greeted and our food came out quick. While the menu is not very large I asked if they had lengua, they did not. But the bartender offered a dish that was made for the staff, she called it Trumpbo? Translates to mouth of pig? Im sure im butchering this.. but my GOD.. it was some of the most delicious tender pork I have ever had. Not gamey/barnyard at all. Prepared just excellent.. can't describe it well enough do it justice. Their chef is a master.. if your lucky enough ask for it next time your in, they dont have it all the time but hopefully you can get lucky and enjoy what the cook/staff enjoy.. i felt very fortunate to be able to enjoy this treat from the kitchen.
