“Stopped in on a Thursday night, the place was empty. Sat at a table and fresh chips and salsa was brought over. The waitress was nice and friendly. I ordered burrito suzio and a tosata. When the burrito was brought to the table they forgot to add suzio cheese/sauce. The food was solid and atmosphere was ok. It wasn't a bad place to dine.Parking: 10 spots in lot“

“Quesabirria is such an amazing gem in Chicago and the Pilsen neighborhood. Don't let Taco Bell fool you, this is the OG here. The owner is always here to take orders. Menu is very straightforward and delicious. There is indoor seating is minimal and when they sell out for the day, that's it so go early and get it when you can. The restroom is clean and they play some funky jams. We really love this place and hope they stay forever. Sitting here on a Sunday when they open at noon writing this makes it that much better!“

“We had drinks in The Aldermen portion. The drinks were incredible. Best gin and tonic I’ve ever had. Lance was running the show that night. We told him what we liked, and he nailed it. I would seriously put Lance as one of the best bartenders in the world. Yes, we will be back. Sad thing is, when I go other places, they won’t compare. The Pilsen Yards space looked fun, and did have great outdoor space. Another one of Chicago’s great neighborhoods to explore.“

“Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“

I love the outdoor seating spaces that they have.. decked out with lights and a fire pit that smelled so good! When you go inside, they have a lot of throwback decor, which I always love. The cashier was so patient with us and took time to answer our questions as my sister searched to find something that suited her dietary restrictions. It took us a while to make some decisions about what to eat, but ultimately, I had a fish taco and a brisket taco. The fish was just okay.. your typical fried cod with some basic toppings. The brisket was amazing! Their handmade corn shells were so good and fresh . The meat was tender and very well seasoned. My sister had the shrimp taco, which she enjoyed, and also chips and guac. They have various flavors of margaritas and other libations. It's a great place to go for a quick bite, especially if the weather allows you to sit outside. I'll definitely be back!“

The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the environment was top-notch. The restaurant's interior was beautifully decorated—it felt like I was transported to Mexico!There are two locations in Chicago, so be sure to visit the one on 55th street if you want to dine in; the 18th street location is for takeout only. “Nice little neighborhood place. The hours are odd so you have to check if they are open. I think they close mon-wed. I found this place looking for queso birria tacos. For $15 you get 4 decent sized tacos with the consommé. Great meaty tacos, I'm a big guy and I usually could knock out 8-10 tacos. I could only eat 6 here. The guacamole was big enough for me and my buddy. They have a juice bar inside and we ordered off of the server's recommendation. She recommended a pineapple drink and it was solid. We ended up getting a second order of drinks for the road. They don't have parking but you should be able to find something across the street. Place is clean and the cook wore gloves. I appreciate when a place is clean and people are wearing gloves. The waitress/server was very helpful and had great recommendations. She was easy to talk to since I don't speak Spanish. There was a bunch of online orders and takeout which in my opinion is good. That means there's no old food, they sell it all and buy fresh. Bathrooms were clean. I noticed the table next to me ordered a latte and seen they had an espresso machine. I haven't tried the coffee so I can't talk about the quality. Just that they have an espresso machine. I like this place a lot. Very friendly staff, great food and great amount of food for the price. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you.“

“Rossy and her team are absolutely amazing! My husband and I knew we wanted to do great and delicious mexican food for our wedding and we were struggling to find someone who could do that in a large venue setting, and was willing to travel to Janesville, Wisconsin. I found Rossy through tons of research online and so happy I did! She is so incredibly kind and we enjoyed taking the drive to Chicago where she cooked right in front of us a variety of options to try for our wedding.I know that my husband and I probably over communicated often in the 9 months leading up to the wedding with tons of questions and making sure all would go right. “When I first moved out here from the city, I was so sad that I couldn’t find good Lengua tacos and finally we got some good lengua tacos out here!!My husband is very picky with his asada and he devoured his burrito. “I’m a recent transplant from NC and sent my husband here because we are in the middle of moving and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. This food was AMAZING! I had the fish, Mac and cheese, collards, stuffing. The best fried fish I HAVE EVER HAD. It tasted home-made. Everything was fresh and good and I’d have taken a picture but I was too busy stuffing my face! My husband said the lady behind the counter was super sweet and offered suggestions and he (who does not eat fish!) ate half my fish!! The portions are HUGE for the price and I will be returning. “This is another stand of El Becerrito (I see another reviewed on Yelp in Uptown). I think I've noticed them driving by before, but more recently this past Friday after the bitter cold two days, I was reminded that I should make a stop. I think the stand is here primarily Mon-Fri and they start in the mornings I believe, early enough for breakfast. Street was clear enough this morning that even if you were driving, it should be easy enough to park and pickup. Tacos are $2.50 each and come with onions and cilantro if you choose, and your choice of red or green salsa. A lime is thrown in on the side and you could eat there fresh or get it to go. They put it on a styrofoam plate for me to go with foil - next time I'll just have them foil it. Great option for a quick pickup on a street full of tacos (you can get cabeza at some of the other local taquerias).“
