“A really great lunch spot to dine and chat with friends!! I came during the “lunch special” hours of 11-3. Service was immediate and very friendly. Both specials we chose also included a rich miso soup. The tempura batter was perfection, crispy and light but not greasy. Everything was presented in a way that was pleasing to the eye. I will definitely return!!”
“Amerikas in Oak Park was fantastic. I had the quesabirria plate and a mojito, and both were excellent. The quesabirria was rich, flavorful, and satisfying, with tender meat and a great balance of seasoning. The plate felt generous and well put together, and every bite had that deep, comforting flavor you hope for.
The mojito was a perfect pairing. It was refreshing, bright, and made the meal feel even more special. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the whole experience felt like a great Oak Park lunch spot.
Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend.”

“We were indifferent to Mora when it first opened several years ago. The food was ok but not great. We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.”
“Hard to not get everything behind the pastry counter! Delicious pastry assortment, savory and sweet-something for everyone! Don’t skip on the pimento biscuit. Super crispy and great balance of buttery, cheesy, perfect amount of pimento in the middle. Coffees tasted great. Wasn’t super busy on a Sunday at 9 but I could see it picking up a bit later. Plenty of seating inside and outside.”

“Customer service is great. I had the roasted chicken and tamales. There were pieces of corn in every bite of the tamale, and the chicken was moist. Do not forget to try a margarita.”

“Hoja Santa fine Mexican dining with a twist. Inspired by Mexico's Hoja Santa leaf which give a unique flavor in Latin American cuisine. Menu has really nice elevated dishes like roasted squash (Calabaza) with chili-cashew sauce, Birria Pizza, and grilled octopus. We came during World Cup Futbol and had a variety of specials alongside creative cocktails. Dress and patio is quite casual with an outstanding staff contributing to a fine dining experience whereever your choice of seating. The Micheladas are superb with the right amount of sour, spice and salt. Beers on tap are ice cold and beats a hot summer night. We'll be back to.enio6 more of the food menu items at Hoja Santa.”
“Pablo, our waiter, was exceptional. During our first visit here, he warmly welcomed us and showcased impressive knowledge of the menu, even extending to items not listed. He encouraged us to customize our meal to our liking, and he certainly delivered! For starters, we chose the grilled calamari and Rockefeller oysters. The calamari was tender and impeccably cooked, steering clear of the typical rubbery texture. Opting for balsamic instead of oil was a perfect choice. The oysters were superb, not overwhelmed with cheese. I ordered the veal picatta from the menu, expecting a thin slab, but was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The angel hair pasta complemented the dish well, although I could have done without the mushrooms – a personal preference, which I should've mentioned. Nonetheless, if you're a mushroom enthusiast, they give you plenty. My boyfriend ordered off-menu, enjoying the Zuppe di Pesce with shrimp, clams, extra calamari, and rigatoni Diablo style in red sauce. It was absolutely amazing and satisfied his taste without being overly spicy. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of the house Chardonnay, which was light and buttery. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't typically drink wine, enjoyed it. Our heartfelt thanks to Pablo and the owner/chef Giovanni for an outstanding dining experience, both in terms of the meal and the service.”

We were on a road trip for a cross-country move and had a lot of great meals, but this one stands out. The portions were enormous and delicious. I'd especially recommend the quesabirria tacos and consomme. So yummy and filling! Next time we're in Chicago, I'm definitely going to try to get to Oak Park for another meal here.”

“Words cannot give this food justice! I’ve been in the city since 2014 searching for my go-to Thai spot and I FINALLY found it last night after my friend suggested it. The service and friendliness of the staff were top tier and every dish we had was out of this world. What a gem of a place. The flavors of the pad thai were unmatched, and don’t even get me started on the custard taiyaki with ice cream. This chef’s talent is unmatched. Can’t wait to come back and to order for delivery and pickup too!”

“I’ve been going to Addis for the past 7 years and rarely skip a day… What drew me in was the very best tasting pour over that I’ve ever had and what keeps me coming back is the family feeling: from the friendly crew behind the counter to the local residents who make Addis a must have part of their daily routine, this place is well worth a try. I guarantee that once you try Addis coffee, their amazing waffles, avocado toast, Ethiopian chechebsa, turmeric lattes etc… you will be hooked!”

Everything you want in a wine store that you don't always find, a great selection, very knowledgeable staff, great accompaniments like snacks and gifts, and a nice clean place that is extremely welcoming.
It's a great place to stop in the summertime and enjoy a cold glass of white sitting on the patio and in the winter time enjoying a nice glass of red sitting in the tasting room. They have lots of things that are not easy to find and what you would consider a gem! They pride themselves on having a unique selection different from the big box shops!
There are price points for everybody and everybody will feel comfortable shopping here.

“Had a fantastic meal at Seoul Ave in Oak Park. We ordered the Beef Short Rib, Rose Tteokbokki, Cheese Donkatsu, and Kimchi Pancake, and every single dish was outstanding.
The Beef Short Rib was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Rose Tteokbokki had a rich, creamy sauce with just the right amount of spice. The Cheese Donkatsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and filled with plenty of melted cheese. The Kimchi Pancake was packed with flavor, crispy around the edges, and one of the best I’ve had.
Beyond the food, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire meal. The restaurant delivers an authentic Korean dining experience with excellent quality and generous portions.
If you’re in Oak Park, this place is absolutely not to be missed. Highly recommended!”

“Visited here for the first time this past week to study. I got the Vanilla Bourbon latte which was fantastic. The barista was so kind! She answered some questions I had and was so helpful. Great environment to get some work done.
I returned again with some friends yesterday and again had a very positive experience. My friend accidentally knocked over her drink, but it was the same barista as last time and she was extremely sweet about it and remade the drink. HIGHLY recommend. Clearly a lovely staff and a great establishment. :)”
“I met the owner he was very personable and professional. I got my food delivered and I might add it was just as good as if I was Dining in. I got pineapple fried rice cooked with ingredients just like I like it and it was delicious. I also got Tom Kha soup and crab Rangoon’s they were good as well. “My wife and I were walking around Oak Park when we came across this place. We stopped at Starbucks and then we ran into pure green and decided to stop in. The way we were greeted by the owner was enough to make us want to throw out the Starbucks. Very respectful and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the Mixed Berry Acai bowl and tropical breeze smoothie! The owner offered us the “wake me up” shot and blue-biotic shot. They’re definitely worth it. “Loved the $11 Pecorino & Tomato Tartine:
(Olive oil fried toast with pecorino, preserved tomato & confit garlic with herby gremolata).
Just needed more preserved tomatoes as had soo much delish confit garlic & maybe too much olive oil as middle of the toast was a bit soggy.
$14 Green Salad was good but it was mostly just greens & barely any of the other ingredients listed:
(Asparagus, preserved lemon, parmesan & roasted shallot vinaigrette).
$14 Blueberry Struesell Loaf. While the next line was reminiscent of Blueberry Muffin, was not a Struesell & had barely any Blueberry. Sad.
Service was a little awkward.
Weren't greeted or asked if ready to order. Had to get their attention. But everyone was super nice.
Also, a diner wanted their sandwiches heated up but were first told no can do. They can but said the sandwich is supposed to be cold. Customer insisted & sandwich was heated.
