“We had such a wonderful experience! Our waitress, Daniella, was absolutely amazing so kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. She made sure we were comfortable the entire time and went above and beyond to take great care of us, checking in often and making sure we had everything we needed. Her sweet personality and amazing energy truly made our visit special. Also the hostesses were also so amazing. Thank you for making sure we were comfortable.
The food was also delicious everything came out fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Between Daniella’s outstanding service, her positive energy, and the amazing food, it was such an enjoyable meal from start to finish.”
“Customer service is great. I had the roasted chicken and tamales. There were pieces of corn in every bite of the tamale, and the chicken was moist. Do not forget to try a margarita.”
“Excellent food for dine in and creative, well presented catering service options. Karim worked with me to create a menu that our guests loved.”

“Kinslahger is like no other bar place / bar / local in the area. The lack of TV forces you to engage in conversation, and the staff are particularly helpful in steering patrons to choices they might not think of originally but end up appreciating. They’re a one-of-a-kind establishment with a one-of-a-kind staff, and you won’t be disappointed in your visit.”
“We were indifferent to Mora when it first opened several years ago. The food was ok but not great. We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.”

“I can’t say enough great things about this place, I make a stop every chance I get! I’ve tried nearly everything, but the Kale scones are amazing! The coffee drinks are great and delicious. I’m a full time working mom, and my parents who watch my baby while I work said the only payment they need is a box of broken tart pastries! The people there are great, they really work as a team and are super efficient. Saturdays beware though, people are lined up, and for good reason!”

“A great experience. Staff was eager to ensure we had an excellent table. The meals were outstanding. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Yuca and the Platos Fuertes Pescado. We concluded with the fried ice cream.”
“The food has gotten much better recently. Had the pork tacos, tuna salad and potato skins. All excellent. Hard to justify $16.50 for one neat Buffalo Trace bourbon however. Very quiet-no diners at all at 6PM on a Friday evening.”

“We recently hosted a dinner event here, and from planning to the event itself, I cannot say how pleased I am we chose Il Vicolo. Vito worked with us on planning the menu, and both he and the staff we incredibly accommodating in terms of setting up their semi-private room for our event. The space itself, especially the back room, is gorgeous and intimate, and the food is spectacular. On top of this, entire waitstaff were incredibly friendly and ensured our guests were welcomed and taken care of well.
I’ll also note I had the opportunity to dine at Il Vicolo on my own, and that too was a wonderful experience. I had salad, a small appetizer, pizza, and dessert all of which were delicious. The service was excellent then as well, and the pacing was great. Time was given for each of the courses without it ever feeling like things were moving too slowly. The TL;DR of that being that I always had food to be eating without ever feeling like my plates were stacking up!
Finally, with the village lot just in back, parking is a breeze if you can’t walk or bike there. Highly recommend stopping in when you have the opportunity!”
“Pablo, our waiter, was exceptional. During our first visit here, he warmly welcomed us and showcased impressive knowledge of the menu, even extending to items not listed. He encouraged us to customize our meal to our liking, and he certainly delivered! For starters, we chose the grilled calamari and Rockefeller oysters. The calamari was tender and impeccably cooked, steering clear of the typical rubbery texture. Opting for balsamic instead of oil was a perfect choice. The oysters were superb, not overwhelmed with cheese. I ordered the veal picatta from the menu, expecting a thin slab, but was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The angel hair pasta complemented the dish well, although I could have done without the mushrooms – a personal preference, which I should've mentioned. Nonetheless, if you're a mushroom enthusiast, they give you plenty. My boyfriend ordered off-menu, enjoying the Zuppe di Pesce with shrimp, clams, extra calamari, and rigatoni Diablo style in red sauce. It was absolutely amazing and satisfied his taste without being overly spicy. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of the house Chardonnay, which was light and buttery. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't typically drink wine, enjoyed it. Our heartfelt thanks to Pablo and the owner/chef Giovanni for an outstanding dining experience, both in terms of the meal and the service.”
“Beautiful ambiance, attentive, friendly service and good food. Perfect place for family, friends and date nights. One of the Historic buildings in Oak Park.”

“I got a pair of ice cream quarters on the take out right after walking my pup. And they told me to wait and arrived with this HUGE MOUNTAIN OF WHIPPED CREAM. I truly wasn't expecting it so I'm very grateful, you uplifting my day, and tbh my week. Here's a happy pup eating cream.”
“We always enjoy visiting with Bill and enjoying their delicious dishes (especially those crazy good wood fire pizzas!) Amazing!”
“Very relaxing environment and excellent sushi choices. Great saki as well.”

Takeout Restaurants
“My daughter and her kids enthusiastically recommended we all go here for Sunday lunch. The food was very good. There was a bit of an issue trying to get food my wife could eat given she has a few food sensitivities which seemed to preclude her eating here. But once we got it figured out, we had a tasty meal. The owner waited on us personally and was somewhat helpful with the limited options on the menu for my wife. He is a friendly guy who takes great pride in his restaurant. There isn't any atmosphere here. You go for the food and will not be disappointed.”
“I’ve been going to Addis for the past 7 years and rarely skip a day… What drew me in was the very best tasting pour over that I’ve ever had and what keeps me coming back is the family feeling: from the friendly crew behind the counter to the local residents who make Addis a must have part of their daily routine, this place is well worth a try. I guarantee that once you try Addis coffee, their amazing waffles, avocado toast, Ethiopian chechebsa, turmeric lattes etc… you will be hooked!”
“Very good place to have dinner ! Nice art work to view on the wall and the tequila sunrise was super delicious & tall !”
“The front of the house staff and the food envisioned by Chef Laura and well executed by the talented kitchen staff are outstanding. Simply outstanding.simple yet intesting eats. Whitney is beyond attentive to his guests' beverage interests. "George" Harrison, Jack and the under 21 staff are eager, respectful, and engaging. What a treasure in this neighborhood spot, with beyond just the nearby geographically located closeby fan base. Who's going to gift me with a card to Kettlestrings Tavern for Christmas? "8 days a week" left until December 25”

“On Sundays, I love eating there after the church service when enjoyed eating different salads, pizzas and pastas..... especially drinking one of canned beers. I'm totally satisfied with one of Billy Bricks locations. Today, I had Baked Mostaccioli pasta and a can of Chicago Common beer.”

“I finally decided to try Taco 76 and I have to say, totally worth it!! The restaurant looks great, super clean and very good service! I ordered a steak burrito and totally enjoyed it. By way of comparison, I give the edge to Cactus Grill in Forest Park as I find their food absolutely delicious and authentic, but YES this place is really good! The Cactus Grill specialty burrito is the best I’ve ever had! It’s a mix of carne asada, Al pastor and Chorizo made to order!!!”
“Service polite and quick. Space clean and well organized. Ordered the Papa Q platter, everything was good, especially the pork belly and sausage. Sides were cornbread, sweeter than traditional, mac q roni- tasty, coleslaw- creamy and traditional, and mashed potatoes with gravy-really good. Hush puppies were yummy too. Three sauces on table are all good individually but I mixed them all together, delish!”
“Perfect venue for any party or hangout! We had an excellent time celebrating a friend!”
“Wonderful wine shop and wine bar. I thought there was only patio seating, but there’s an entire back room full of tables. Great spot to enjoy a few glasses of wine and some small bites or bring a bottle home. Chatted with the owner for a bit and he was very friendly. Will for sure be making this a regular spot.”
“1st time here, It was a very nice experience, our server was great and the musicians were great too! The food was yummy! And the cocktails! I will recommend to my friends!”
