“Customer service is great. I had the roasted chicken and tamales. There were pieces of corn in every bite of the tamale, and the chicken was moist. Do not forget to try a margarita.”
“Excellent food for dine in and creative, well presented catering service options. Karim worked with me to create a menu that our guests loved.”
“I’ve come here a few times now since they opened and I can confidently say it’s some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. There takoyaki especially is the best in the city, probably in the Chicago area in general. I’ve had both their spicy tonkatsu ramen and black garlic ramen and the black garlic is my favorite of the two but they’re both very good. My wife tried their lunch special recently and was a huge fan. I’m hoping to come here for years to come so do yourself a favor and give them a try.”

“We were indifferent to Mora when it first opened several years ago. The food was ok but not great. We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.”
“Everything was delicious! We went to Hoja Santa and loved every bite. The butternut squash was surprisingly amazing so flavorful. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, juicy and full of taste. The bone marrow was incredible. You can really tell how much care goes into each dish. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent Katherine is super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be coming back!”

“The food here is excellent! The flavors are unique, and the portions are large. They always bring a demitasse of soup right when you are seated which is delicious. The service is excellent... the wait staff, bartenders and bus boys were attentive, quick and knowledgeable. Everything I've ever had here is great. But it is not inexpensive! One of our favorite dishes is the cauliflower... but it is $24! My friend ordered the octopus, which was perfectly cooked and came with crispy chickpeas and potatoes. So good! I ordered the tostadas de pescado, which was also delicious. Although pricey... I will definitely be back.”
“OMG WOW! Amazing bakery! I go to tons of bakeries & I think this is the best one in Oak Park & one of the best in Chicagoland! I LOVED everything I tried from the cookies, to muffins to scones. Super high quality & extremely fresh products. Some of the pastries were still warm from the oven as I got there right at 8 am when they open. Even then, there was a little line out the door. Many people got coffee drinks but I didn’t this time. They also have $2 wonky cookies (just weirdly shaped cookies) that are a great deal. I tried: chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, vegan chocolate muffin (extra delish), goat cheese chili scone (excellent) & the wonky birthday cookie (amazing & buttery - melts in your mouth). Can’t wait to go back & try other things! Please note the place is tiny with only a few tables & chairs & there’s metered street parking so I took my order to go.
10.25.24 update: the kale salad done is truly amazing! The toasted coconut cake was sooo good and the chiffon cake was delightful. The savory corn biscuit was good but I preferred the scone, which is totally worth traveling for.”

“Pablo, our waiter, was exceptional. During our first visit here, he warmly welcomed us and showcased impressive knowledge of the menu, even extending to items not listed. He encouraged us to customize our meal to our liking, and he certainly delivered! For starters, we chose the grilled calamari and Rockefeller oysters. The calamari was tender and impeccably cooked, steering clear of the typical rubbery texture. Opting for balsamic instead of oil was a perfect choice. The oysters were superb, not overwhelmed with cheese. I ordered the veal picatta from the menu, expecting a thin slab, but was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The angel hair pasta complemented the dish well, although I could have done without the mushrooms – a personal preference, which I should've mentioned. Nonetheless, if you're a mushroom enthusiast, they give you plenty. My boyfriend ordered off-menu, enjoying the Zuppe di Pesce with shrimp, clams, extra calamari, and rigatoni Diablo style in red sauce. It was absolutely amazing and satisfied his taste without being overly spicy. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of the house Chardonnay, which was light and buttery. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't typically drink wine, enjoyed it. Our heartfelt thanks to Pablo and the owner/chef Giovanni for an outstanding dining experience, both in terms of the meal and the service.”
“Kinslahger is like no other bar place / bar / local in the area. The lack of TV forces you to engage in conversation, and the staff are particularly helpful in steering patrons to choices they might not think of originally but end up appreciating. They’re a one-of-a-kind establishment with a one-of-a-kind staff, and you won’t be disappointed in your visit.”
“We always enjoy visiting with Bill and enjoying their delicious dishes (especially those crazy good wood fire pizzas!) Amazing!”
“Jack gave us excellent service and we dined outside on a lovely late summer day at 5pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal of risotto, lobster ravioli, burrata stuffed ravioli, pasta with prosciutto and peas, and 3 desserts (chocolate cake, limoncello cake, and lemon sorbet). A great time was had by all.”

“I got a pair of ice cream quarters on the take out right after walking my pup. And they told me to wait and arrived with this HUGE MOUNTAIN OF WHIPPED CREAM. I truly wasn't expecting it so I'm very grateful, you uplifting my day, and tbh my week. Here's a happy pup eating cream.”

“Love at first bite!
I can't say enough about how well both lunch specials tasted. Peak level of flavors and a warm touch of authentic family cooking. The pad thai sauce was amazing and an instant recommendation. The Pad kee mao noodles texture were tender and bouncy. The spice was above medium and enhanced the meal. The teas had a balanced sweetness and plenty of textures.
The music playlist matched the cozy and bold color pops. The staff were very friendly and offered some samples of the delicious Ube ice cream. Over all my new favorite Thai restaurant and will explore more of the menu.”
“what a great coffee shop!! I am visiting from Portland, OR and obviously have an obnoxious pretention about coffee... Vigo coffee is absolutely great. I've been looking for a good coffee shop to work from in oak park and this exceeds expectations. the coffee is SO GOOD, and I absolutely love that this coffee shop is set up as the most comfortable co-working space + art gallery (?!??!!). as if it couldn't get any better, we absolutely love the authentic Mexican culture and flavors available here. really great selection of savory and sweet baked goods that will keep you full and focused all day. I will definitely be back here to work whenever I'm in oak park.
Vegetarian options: lots of savory and sweet baked options that will sustain you.
Kid-friendliness: lots of games available meant for little ones, like guess who, connect 4, Jenga and uno!”
“I’ve been going to Addis for the past 7 years and rarely skip a day… What drew me in was the very best tasting pour over that I’ve ever had and what keeps me coming back is the family feeling: from the friendly crew behind the counter to the local residents who make Addis a must have part of their daily routine, this place is well worth a try. I guarantee that once you try Addis coffee, their amazing waffles, avocado toast, Ethiopian chechebsa, turmeric lattes etc… you will be hooked!”
“Very good place to have dinner ! Nice art work to view on the wall and the tequila sunrise was super delicious & tall !”
“The front of the house staff and the food envisioned by Chef Laura and well executed by the talented kitchen staff are outstanding. Simply outstanding.simple yet intesting eats. Whitney is beyond attentive to his guests' beverage interests. "George" Harrison, Jack and the under 21 staff are eager, respectful, and engaging. What a treasure in this neighborhood spot, with beyond just the nearby geographically located closeby fan base. Who's going to gift me with a card to Kettlestrings Tavern for Christmas? "8 days a week" left until December 25”

“Wonderful wine shop and wine bar. I thought there was only patio seating, but there’s an entire back room full of tables. Great spot to enjoy a few glasses of wine and some small bites or bring a bottle home. Chatted with the owner for a bit and he was very friendly. Will for sure be making this a regular spot.”
“I'm a regular customer here. My to-go order is always the grilled chicken salad. Some days, they hook it up with the amount of salad & chicken... other days they don't.
That's not the moral of this story.
I would like to shout out the employee Kali H, who usually takes the orders and charges at the window. Every time I get my order taken from Kali, I can't help but notice that he's very professional and attentive. I've had other employees who annoyingly ask me to repeat my order 2-3 times. However, Kali has never had any issues taking my orders in the past and present. Even during rush hour, which is typically when take my lunch break (not by choice), I notice that the overwhelming amount of customers inside the restaurant & at the drive-thru doesn’t faze Kali. His customer service skills shine. True leadership qualities.
To management at this Oak Park buona location: you've got a great employee working with you. To Kali, your hard work is noticed and appreciated, from the perspective of a regular customer like myself. Thank you!”
“This is my favorite Subway I've ever been to, and the owners and employees are wonderful people providing excellent service. I have truly never gotten a bad sandwich from this particular location, and doubt I ever will. Thank you to my friendly neighborhood Subway.”

“I finally decided to try Taco 76 and I have to say, totally worth it!! The restaurant looks great, super clean and very good service! I ordered a steak burrito and totally enjoyed it. By way of comparison, I give the edge to Cactus Grill in Forest Park as I find their food absolutely delicious and authentic, but YES this place is really good! The Cactus Grill specialty burrito is the best I’ve ever had! It’s a mix of carne asada, Al pastor and Chorizo made to order!!!”
“I came here with my mom today for lunch, and we were both pleasantly
surprised. We liked the cute atmosphere ,the cleanliness, and most importantly, the food!!! We got the lunch specials! It includes an appetizer/soup/main meal. It was a great price for great food!!! We will definitely be back here again soon.”
“Huge fan. As Americanized Thai places go this is tops. When I order spicy, I get it. I enjoy their take on salmon nicoise, with a beautiful dressing. The curries are very good. I would like to know if there is a hidden menu where unamericanized Thai exists.
Vegetarian options: You can get almost dish vegetarian”
“On Sundays, I love eating there after the church service when enjoyed eating different salads, pizzas and pastas..... especially drinking one of canned beers. I'm totally satisfied with one of Billy Bricks locations. Today, I had Baked Mostaccioli pasta and a can of Chicago Common beer.”
“1st time here, It was a very nice experience, our server was great and the musicians were great too! The food was yummy! And the cocktails! I will recommend to my friends!”
“one of the best restaurants i’ve ever eaten at ❤️ delicious food, cozy interior, and friendly service, will definitely be coming back!!
Vegetarian options: they have a menu section of completely vegetarian dishes, many of which can also be made vegan
Dietary restrictions: they have clearly labeled vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options”
“Perfect venue for any party or hangout! We had an excellent time celebrating a friend!”
“I’m really impressed with this place. Salads are perfect, New York style Pizza Pie”

“We frequent this location and we love Lou Malnati's Pizza. We celebrated my daughter's birthday. Server was great and attentive though I can't remember her name. She took care of our needs especially with 6 hungry pre-teens dining with us. Only thing that I was put off by was when we asked for some salt for the table, we were told that the restaurant didn't have any salt. When a manager later on dropped by our table I decided to ask again if they had salt, and he apologized for the wait but he had to grab some from upstairs. Very odd thing to run out of in a restaurant I must say, but everything else was great. Thank you, it was a lovely dinner and my daughter and her friends enjoyed the food.”
