“I called ahead of time to place my order. It was ready within 10 mins. The staff was sweet and very helpful. Everyone said hello and made sure I had placed my order. The restaurant was clean. It's in downtown Park Forest which was neat.I ordered the small tip & wing and brisket. Both were tasty and well seasoned. The tips were meaty and tender. The chicken was perfectly done. The brisket wasn't too fatty, but wasn't too dry...it was done just right. The Mac & cheese was good too.Everything was delish.“

“This was my first time at the restaurant and my experience was excellent. We were there for my daughter's 21st birthday and we originally had 2 tables but they were able to combine them at the last minute. And despite such a large party, the service was exceptional. Special shout-out to the manager and Joe, our waiter, plus all of the staff for being so accommodating and hospitable. Will definitely be back.“

“Tried this place for the first time and they did not disappoint! When you walk on its a quaint little place with a New Orleans type of vibe. Food was incredible and the bbq sauce was a must try. “Kirk’s you have gained a new customer. My husband got a tip and chicken combo. I got a mini tip. My husband usually doesn’t allow eating in his car but we drove 30 minutes to get there based on the recommendation of his coworker. The food smelled so good I just had to taste it . One bite and it was over! We finished the mini tip before we made it to the highway . I opened up the chicken and tip combo. It was at that moment when we agreed let’s turn around and go back for more. We returned to purchase the bucket of rib tips. Barbecue is our favorite food. But it’s so hard to find good barbecue so we usually make our own. So glad we found kirks BBQ I hope they remain consistent.“

On both occasions the food was wonderful I had the hamburger and fries the first time and the brisket the second. Everything was cooked wonderfully and very delicious.The service is prompt and responsive very polite.Location is in the downtown area with street parking limited on site parking behind the restaurant.I well happily eat there again when I'm in the area.And for those concerned about it being a bar and grill there is a separate seating area with tables and chairs and some booths separate from the bar area and they have a kids menu so it is family-friendly.Con... “Went on a Saturday around 12:30pm, busy but not packed. Food spectacular as usual, all the employees patient and great as usual. Group of 6 with 3 kids and 3 adults.Just went again on 4/20/24 for a birthday dinner for my son. $50.00 for 2 adults and a 17 year old. Thought that was pretty reasonable. Food was great as usual.“

“Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

I noticed one employee and heard another in the background as I walked up to the window. ..The Lobby w/max cap. around 15 people held approx. 6 customers whom had already placed orders.The most visual worker kept "busy" going about his duties preparing and packaging orders.My 1st and foremost complaint:Lack of Attention or No Priority given at The Service Window! The Main Employee, (even as another Customer enters the Lobby) never looks up ? ? not even once. He doesn't acknowledge my Presence for over 5-mins. He literally ?? walks right past me twice ??‍♂️. I didn't feel that they cared one way or another The Preparation Table & Refreshment Preparation was adjacent to the Take Your Order Window and the Cashier area was to the right of where I was standing. So there's no reason for him not to notice me.“
