“Incredible food at very good prices? The special I had today was an Italian Grilled Cheese sandwich. With a bag of chips, a bowl of chili, and a drink, my total was $12.16. You can’t get fast food that cheap these days, and the sandwich was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Homemade food for cheaper than fast food is an absolute win! You owe it to yourself to check this place out, if you haven’t already.”

“Wife and I went on a Wednesday night since we had a rare night with no kids at the last minute. I’d heard good things around town and now I know why. It hit all the right notes. Contemporary style, welcoming and knowledgeable staff and excellent food. 612 Bowie Pasta for me, Caprese Salad with Chicken for the wife and Bruschetta as an appetizer. We should’ve had leftovers with the generous portions, but it was just too good to stop eating! Highly recommended!”

“I have been to Wahlburgers twice now and both times the food was EXCELLENT. Today, however, takes the cake. When I arrived and looked for what I wanted on the menu it wasn't there. I spoke with Ben behind the counter and he told me that specific item had been removed from the menu. I was visibly disappointed so he told me he would make it up for me! He said he may not have the exact dressing but he could pull something together. I was so excited and incredibly thankful because he did NOT have to do that. He went above and beyond and I thanked him again and again. The food was fresh, everything tasted delicious and I will definitely go back again!

Vegetarian options: My salad was a street corn salad. It included romaine lettuce, chopped up red and green pepper, parmesan cheese and shredded cheddar cheese with a delicious dressing.”

“Best place we stayed between Chicago and Grafton, IL! We were stuck at Starved Rock lock for around 5 hours. We didn't get through until after dark (9:30-ish). I called and amazingly enough a guy named Chuck answered the phone! He said our boat was a little big for anything they had available but he could put us at their fuel dock for the night. He waited until we got there around 11pm, helped us get tied up then invited us to the bar for drinks and even opened the kitchen and made us supper! Seriously the best place we stayed. Fun, clean, not pretentious, extremely accommodating, and super reasonable prices! Thank you South Shore Boat Club - and Chuck - for your help and amazing hospitality!!”

“Olive Garden is a go-to restaurant for a nice date night with so many options to choose from. My personal favorites are the breadsticks, chicken gnocchi soup, tour of Italy, chicken Alfredo, cheese tortellini, and chicken Parmesan. They carry a variety of wine and mixed drinks as well. Whether it's lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with olive garden A+

“I normally love Culvers. It is the only fast food I eat. Today it was horrible. Fries were not fried properly. They were a gooey mess. My burger was not cooked in the middle. Threw it out and their food is not inexpensive. Waste of money and I'm still hungry. I will go back and if it isn't back to normal that will be my last time. Too bad. We have had a good relationship for many years.”

“Dont know what happened tonight. Ordered an old drink thats not on the menu but ive always got it, even thru last month. Ordered another drink and waited over 30 min. Sent mushrooms back because they were burnt, literally stuck to the dish. Heard kitchen staff holler "for real" lol. Ended up walking out after 40 minutes still no drinks. Biscuits finally came out after 25min. Manager and kitchen staff need some retraining. She didnt even come talk to us. Normally great. idk what they were doin tonight. BTW there was maybe 3 other tables. Hopefully management and kitchen staff get it together.”

“The steak tips and egg breakfast were really tasty. The steak was tender and melted in the mouth, lots of flavor. I was surprised as this is not a steakhouse. The interior is a bit dated and needs refreshed but everything was clean and staff are friendly.

Vegetarian options: Salads and fruit plates available, not creative vegan dishes. if you eat eggs and cheese the options are more vegan friendly.

Kid-friendliness: Coloring pages are available and tables can be moved to accommodate families

Our car broke down in the parking lot and they were more than accommodating, even to the point of offering assistance to help us get back on the road. 10/5 stars!!!! “We had Maria’s Pizza food truck for a private party a few weeks ago and I cannot recommend them enough. They were on-time, professional, and the food and service were amazing! “This specific restaurant has stellar customer service. The manager of this establishment, a Ms. Victoria, went the extra mile to provide this consumer a satisfying experience. A welcoming attitude, good atmosphere, and very polite. Another Jersey Mike establishment in Bloomington, IL had failed to deliver a sandwich, even after receiving payment. But the manager at this location offered and proceeded to kindly replace the sandwich after hearing of this unfortunate incident, making up for the other locations' failure to deliver. This Peru location had no obligation to make up for another establishments' shortcoming, but these wonderful employees did. And that is going above and beyond. High praise and 10/10 stars. Knowing customer satisfaction is prioritized at this Peru, Illinois establishment, I endeavor to make it a place I frequent for a tasty and reliable sub.”
