“My 1st time here, I did enjoy the atmosphere, but the food was average. I was surprised that I couldn't request how I wanted my beef cooked. I always want it well done, but my server said that all meat has to be cooked medium, so I took a chance at it. I saw too much pink, and had to pick through my patty melt. Was disappointed, but the seasoned fries were very good! The Kenosha curds were good, but over fried. They seemed like they're not battered in house, but pre frozen. So I won't order those again. Our server was not very friendly, just average. I did like my razzmatazz margarita, but had too much h ice in it. I definitely enjoyed the Live Band that was performing!“

“As always our meal was great and the service exemplary. Thomas was our waiter and he is great at explaining the specials and helping us choose the perfect wine. My only complaint about Region is that is is not bigger and thus hard to get into for a spontaneous meal.“

“One of the best breakfast brunch spots around. They forgot one item in my pickup order and the manager called me within 5 minutes. I turned around and came back for the order. They were very apologetic and unnecessarily even gave me a $10 gift card.I feel that if an order goes wrong and the business figures it out first and deals with it, there is no fault. The manager at this location is top notch and this place will always be on top of my list for ordering brunch!“

“My husband discovered this restaurant has an entirely gluten-free menu and is farm-to-table. The offerings were so good! On our first visit, we began with the charcuterie board and bruschetta, then two of us had a scallop special, and my son had the flat iron steak. All the bread was fresh and excellent--not "for being GF" but just plain good. The dessert choices were interesting and my husband had the lemon poppy seed cake with a lemon sauce. And the wine list was phenomenal! A fun mix of specialty cocktails, too!We have returned multiple times and had consistently good food and service. The menu evolves to incorporate seasonal items.“

“We visited on Monday for brunch, so no waiting & super fast service, but this probably varies depending on when you visit. But the menu was extraordinary! Great selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. We tried 2 skillets, both plentiful and full of flavor. The pancakes, sometimes an afterthought at restaurants, were especially delicious! Definitely worth many more visits!! Great find!!“

“Beautiful & delicious gem in Downtown Algonquin.This is truly one of the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice. There is a little stage with instruments. If you are a musician the owner will let you play. There is a patio too if you prefer to sit outside. The service was very welcoming and polite. I will definitely be back for more ice cream!We had the non dairy- blueberry and also the Cookies and cream, both were fantastic!“

“The BEST frozen pizza out there based on my 68-years' experience. The rim of the crust is a warm, crumbly, "cookie" that is transformative! Impossible not to devour the entire pie. And hats off to management: the pizza was cleverly and attentively wrapped and boxed with smart instructions. That was appreciated.“

“Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!“

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

“I didn't know so I want you to know! We were searching for a place to hold our funeral luncheon. We needing something McHenry local, good food, and could accomodate us on short notice. BuddyZ answered the call. They had a banquet room in the back with access to the patio. We had the pizza, salad, chicken fingers, mostaccioli bar. The food was brought out as soon as we arrived. There were tables of varied heights which accomodated our entire family. Carrie, Caitlyn & Kirsty were so friendly, professional and attentive.Thank you all for being there for our family when we needed you.“

“The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ladies working here are so nice. I ordered the ginger tea and was blown away. Strong and full of flavor. This is the best ginger tea I have ever had. You can tell this is made fresh and not with a tea bag. My husband and I split the fried calamari it was perfectly cooked, chewy but not rubbery at all! My husband ordered the Thai fried rice with shrimp. He loved the flavor he just wish that they took the tails off the shrimp. He said he would definitely order it again. I had the Long Life Soup with extra Vegetables. I am normally not a fan of clear glass noodles but this soup was so delicious and I really enjoyed eating it! This restaurant is very clean, they play instrumental music and put white paper on the tables. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if your in the area.“

“If I can give this bakery 10 stars I would. We ordered two birthday cakes/pastries here for my daughter's birthday. My sister in law loves ordering here for her party and that was when I tried their cakes and oh my goodness, It was one of the best cake I have ever had. Its a little pricey but Its so worth it. My whole family enjoyed it when I served the cake for my daughter's birthday. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this bakery for quality and taste.“

“Just visited for the first time and it will not be the last. I was not sure what to get and our server, Bella, recommended the Snow Day. It is a soft serve and slushy mixed together---Delishous. My husband got a traditional sugar cone, his was also excellent. It was great that the had vegan options. Service was excellent and the store was clean.“

“Great little place, the employees are very patient and respectful and the treats are great as well! Prices aren’t terrible relative to the size and amount of flavors either. The only downside we experienced was the service was a bit slow but it was still well worth it anyway!“

“The food at the Black Bear Bistro is absolutely spot on! You can tell that the chef has a passion for cooking! Every single dish we tried was pure perfection: fried avocado and pickles, salmon baked in poblano pepper, pork chop with chutney, and creme brulee. The service is great and, I'm assuming, the owner makes sure everything is taken care of and food tastes delicious! She would come and check on everyone periodically,but she wasn't too much :) the restaurant has this quirky vibe- we actually dined in the back dining room. The room itself was nice and cozy,but in order to get there you walk past the kitchen (it's a somehow unusual experience). Anyway, we highly recommend this restaurant gem in Algonquin!“

How Tanya (sp?) and her staff handled the snafu was nothing short of AWESOME! It couldn't have been handled any better. Accidents happen and we totally understood that. “Amazing spot with delicious food and a laid-back, cozy atmosphere. The staff provides just the right amount of attention, and the owner (manager?) was overlooking the dining room, checking for any requests between the waitresses' visits. We were very pleased with the food - delicious brie puffs and hot goat cheese with toasted bread disappeared in a minute, and all our entres were very good - both vegetarian and meat. Everything was fresh, well made, and appealingly presented. Mixed drinks were amazing and very well presented, too. I am not going to suggest o do anything about curb appeal mentioned in other reviews (which is non-existent) and bar area that is a bit creepy, because it looks like it works for them and they have enough customers already. Plus, if they have a better curb appeal, maybe we won't get a table next time, which eould be a bummer - cause we are definitely coming back!“

The only critique would be to to change the sesame chicken recipe because it looked and tasted exactly like the orange chicken with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Sesame chicken meat was tough too, we were disappointed with that dish. Otherwise we will be back to try more things off the menu.“

“Breaking Bread is the perfect local spot to get some of the best food in Cary. It's very clear the folks there care very much and have a passion for what they do. Every visit is extremely enjoyable, as the staff are always friendly, and the food is always delicious. I can't recommend Breaking Bread enough, as it is more than worth the price. “Southern Belle's is a really good restaurant. The service is top-notch. The food is cooked fresh. The Southern Belles skillet is by far my favorite breakfast dish. My wife enjoys the Pesto Egg Benedict. Super fresh and yummy. Also the Pancakes are huge, buttery and the house syrup is excellent. Their mixed drinks, brewed drinks and mimosa's are pretty great and well worth it. I had the Chi Tea ice latte and it was fantastic. The price is good.My wife and I have enjoyed Brunch Cafe and Maple n Syrup. But Southern Belle's is by far our favorite place for breakfast. We highly recommend it and like we said the service is excellent. “Organic Rootz is such a piece of sunshine in Barrington! Delicious smoothies and bowls, i've yet to try their food items but i will be sure to try them soon. Lots of local organic brands, an herb wall for all the herbalist out there, vitamins and oils, and great customer service. they're always friendly and go the extra mile during service.“
