My kids have been slowly getting into sushi and they approved of everything. The inside is nice, it's a little updated since it was Lovely Thai. I need to come back soon to try the other foods. If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place.My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.“

“I have been going to Hayashi for years. Whenever, I have a craving for Japanese strip steaks, sushi, or Udon that is my go-to place. Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and Excellent Ambiance. “We've been going to Ron and Pats for years, but their new pizza combo's are excellent. We just had the Sicillian with the thin crust extra crispy, and it's one of the best pizzas we've had there! If you haven't been, it's such a great place, amazing staff who are ultra friendly. Their website and online ordering are super smooth and easy to use. “We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. The local residents should be proud to have this iconic wonder.With the exception of the curly fries, we all ended up ordering different items to eat which was good so I could give an overall excellent rating for the food alone.My wife mentioned that the buffalo wings are some of the best wings she's ever had in her life, that burger and fries were awesome and my son never complains about the chicken strips wherever he goes.We'll definitely be back for more great grub and I wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).“

“Best food and service EVER!!! We attended a wedding reception there. We had an amazing BIG soft pretzel and brussel spout flakes, they tasted like candy, yum. My husband had the BBQ ribs, BEST ribs and BBQ sauce EVER, I had the orange chicken again BEST orange chicken I've ever had. Our nephew had the Tim's challenge and he ate it all and got a cool tee shirt. Highly recommended. And did I mention the AWESOME customer service!!!“

“We have been searching for decent “Chinese” food since moving to mchenry 8 months ago and NOTHING in the area was even close to being good. This was the first time I’ve had it since moving and I can FINALLY say we found the place. The egg rolls were so good, which is usually my biggest test on a place! The beef egg food young was also great, no big chunks of onions either. It was a good portion of ingredients, and the flavor was spot on. My husband had the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and he said it was really good - he usually says “it was fine” whenever we get Chinese, so this is a big compliment coming from him. The service getting the food was quick and still warm when we got it. I do remember coming here years ago, and remember it being really a great atmosphere and really good. So luckily with Uber Eats, we were able to have it delivered. I am thrilled to say I FINALLY found my go to spot!!!!“

How Tanya (sp?) and her staff handled the snafu was nothing short of AWESOME! It couldn't have been handled any better. Accidents happen and we totally understood that.
