“Went to maybe replace my Annual Thanksgiving meal for me and my son. The smell in that place was so revolting and nauseating ..I was dry heaving trying to read the menu. Dont know what grease they were using to cook with..but its a Never Again for me!! As i quickly made my exit. So 0 stars!“

“Let me just say this, they never disappoint! My husband and I have tried several items off the menu and we are always and I do mean always satisfied. The food here is always very flavorful and the portions definitely leaves you with left overs. Her chicken is the best I’ve had from any restaurant in the city for sure! We’ve always tried the fried Salmon, Pot Roast, dressing. Mac and cheese, cabbage and greens! They have all been a hit.Mel we will definitely see you Wednesday for those jerk lamb chops“

“A southside soul food staple that has been in the Chatham neighborhood for a long while now. Lots of love goes into the food, portions are hearty and the rotation menu served is flavorful. Stopped in with a friend on Friday (Restaurant is only open Fri, Sat, and Sunday til 6pm everyday). We were greeted by a nice lil lady @ the door which directed us on how to order and pay. She then seated us after we got our food. I had a great lunch. Smothered Pork chops were so delicious. Black eyed peas and rice had that soul up in it. My only complaint was that the okra side could've had a lil bit longer in the pot. Everything else from the service to the food was fantastic. The decor is a bit dated tho but I'm fine with it. Thumbs up to this place and kudos to the staff for the experience.Vegetarian options: Sides??‍♂️. Nothing else is really vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Soul food. U might get the Itis.Parking: The lot is small. Only big enuff for maybe 8 to 10 cars. U may have to pay to park. “30-35 & OLDER LOUNGE!! Very lively and fun!!! Remember to call or ask about the certain events for each day of the week (they do have a certain dress code on certain days). GO EARLY!!!! The earlier the better because it can get crowded in the lounge. Food can also be bought here too while having a drink. I enjoy myself here everytime, so this is a nice place to try❤️“

“So before i called, i called to make sure there wasn’t a wait. I’ve been here before and the line is usually out the door. Once she told me no wait I got supper excited and came. Once i got here i literally had to wait an hour just to be seated. Then another hour for food. Something needs to change with the way they have guest waiting!“

“Me and my wife's 1st time trying this was a little disappointing ..the person behind the counter was not considerate of this being our 1st time. We had questions about the products that are offered and were responded with little no help. The atmosphere was great, and the food was really flavorful. Since this was our first time. We decided to try a different variety of items. We order two chicken wing dinners(including 2 sides), 2 gummies, 2 cookies, 2 beverages, and a bag of chips. You can add hemp to your sauces and beverages. Which is an added bonus. As far as the edibles and the beverages. Since I have a high tolerance, I ordered the highest level that they had to offer. With that being said, occasional cannabis users will most definitely feel the edible gummies, chips, banana pudding, and cookies. They all have great flavor, but I would definitely suggest this for people with low tolerance. Overall, the total was $116. There was a mistake with my order, but the owner came to the rescue and made it right. Even though there were pros and cons, I would most definitely come back again.“

“We arrived here after an overnight stay at the water park. My granddaughter had worked up an appetite and she wanted some Salmon. They didn’t have Salmon but they had catfish. We got a catfish dinner and a grilled wing dinner greens, yams, Mac and cheese. The catfish and greens were fantastic. She gave me a thumbs up, she ate two servings of greens and both fillets of catfish. I ordered the grilled wings but they wreaked of lighter fluid or chemicals, I was a bit disappointed, I ate the Mac and cheese and the yams and both corn breads but I am definitely going to sample it before I leave next time because I know they had to do know, if I’m not mistaken I think I saw the “grilled “ wings sitting in a gravy or something. Anyway we would definitely go back to give them another try.Update:I went back to give the baked wings a redo and they were the bomb as well as The greens, the Mac, the yams and the dressing but what stood out the most was the hospitality. That southern hospitality from way back in the day.. It reminded me of my trips to Mississippi when I was a child.“

“I had a repast at Bea's Kitchen and the experience was flawless. I decided to have the brunch instead of choosing individual items. Everyone kept mentioning how impressed they were with everything. The staff was patient and organized. We had right at 100 guests and the owner allowed us to rent the entire resturant and over flow room. This allowed for plenty of space and privacy during our delicate time. Everyone was comfortable and definitely well feed. The food was delicious. We didn't have to worry about food being delivered to a reception hall nor any clean up. This location provided everything for our family and loved ones. The space itself is a whole vibe. “I love Kisha’s Kitchen! Definitely the best food on the south side! The hot honey catfish has become my favorite with crack and cheese and yams with collard greens and cornbread better than some cakes,But the chicken, green beans and everything else on the menu is ???. I rate her 25 “

Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans & potatoes, and macaroni & cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. “I ordered the shrimp and grits off of their great Groupon deals that they’ve been offering it was a little bland, and as you can see it was a lot of grease in it. I kept trying to eat it and eat it and just ignore it but I was just way too greasy. You can see the grease on top of the grits. Don’t think I’ll finish this dish. I’ll be in clogged up my arteries.“
