“Me and my husband tried out this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. What an amazing experience! We started off with the chef's choice nigiri, which we had never had before. Each piece was delicious! We both got drinks: him a beer, and I got the claus-mopolitan. Yummy!! Then we split the Barramundi: sea bass cooked in parchment paper. Oh my god, it was so good! The potato croquettes were very good, but they have Sweet Baby Ray's on them. Wasn't expecting that! This was an amazing experience and we look forward to coming back in the future“
“I drive about 40 minutes at least once a month to eat here. The drive is absolutely worth it every time. I refuse to eat sushi anywhere else because it will never satisfy as well as Shima’s. I have been going here for about 5 years and the food and service never disappoints. They are like family here and I always leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face. Not to mention that their prices are really fair, especially for where they are located. Come here and you will not regret it!!“
“Need more service staff. He was great but could not give enough attention because spread too thin. Noise level (“background” music) is too loud. Conversations at the same small table require loud voices, which makes the dining area even louder.“

“The service is always amazing, the green tea is fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely and the sushi is out of this world! The sushi chefs are VERY conscientious of food allergies and modifications are not only recommended but often accommodated. We highly suggest the edamame with garlic, salt and spice. Delicious!! For sushi their Grinch roll is a must. We have never been disappointed with anything we’ve tried and we have went way outside of our comfort zone a few times. ;)“

She is so kind! She went above & beyond & took the initiative to hold the door for my elderly mother & help her both going in & leaving while I parked the car & brought it around.“
“I ordered a bowl for pickup through their website. I chose crab sticks for my main protein. Extra $1 each to add avocado and crabstick salad. It was delicious and the sushi rice was hot. Bowl was ready at their estimated time. My only complaint is that they forgot 3 of the ingredients that were written on the receipt: pineapple, mango, sweet onion. There was no extra charge for these so I wasn't too upset about it but forgetting 3 items in the bowl is kind of a lot. Next time I'll order there inside the restaurant.“

“This place is good when you’re in need of a sushi fix. Service is a bit slow on the sushi side, but that can be associated with how busy it can get. They have great rolls though, and personally I think their miso soup is better than other local sushi restaurants… not that I could tell you why.“
“Very impressed with this restaurant as I have not been here since they changed ownership. The ambiance is lovely and the service is outstanding. It's definitely a hidden gem in the suburbs. It was quiet enough on my night out that I was able to get suggestions right from the sushi chefs which made it an even cooler experience. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant, and as a small business owner myself I love it even more supporting a family run restaurant! I got the sushi combo and upgraded to a fantasy roll. So stinking good.“
