“Not going to be the greatest sushi you've ever had, but affordable and all very yummy and cleanly place nice service. I noticed it is more affordable to order from kitchen can get 6 roll for $1 a piece and off conveyor $3 for 2 pieces. Some are $4 on conveyor for 4 pieces, all depends.Fantastic spot, glad I chose it, will definitely be back.“
“This place is legit. We came here for the Korean Sashimi experience. I wasn't expecting much since this place is in a pretty unassuming strip mall but the quality of the fish is what did it for me. I believe the owner buys an entire tuna and expertly slices different parts himself. I had the best tasting sashimi here. And as much fish as I have had in my life I found myself asking the waitress what part of the tuna I was eating. First time trying Tuna jaw meat and it was astounding. The amount of toro grade tuna that was served amazed me. Service was a bit slow but with high quality fresh fish that they serve all was forgiven. 5 stars all the way.“
“Very impressed with this restaurant as I have not been here since they changed ownership. The ambiance is lovely and the service is outstanding. It's definitely a hidden gem in the suburbs. It was quiet enough on my night out that I was able to get suggestions right from the sushi chefs which made it an even cooler experience. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant, and as a small business owner myself I love it even more supporting a family run restaurant! I got the sushi combo and upgraded to a fantasy roll. So stinking good.“
“Service and atmosphere was nice. Sushi was tasty. I liked the volcano. I also enjoyed the appetizers. I tried the Misso soup, the calamari and the veggies roles. They also have individual sushi pieces which I wish I noticed them first before I order the other stuff. It is very very price. I paid rounded 41 dollars just for my self. 28 rounded all you can eat which is 27 something dollars plus a drink. I order tea and tip. Taxes were rounded 4 dollars. 40 for 1 person al you can eat buffet too expensive. Some sushi was no real sushi but it was tasty.“
“Mori Sushi got me all confused after the first bite. It was about 9p.m. when we arrived, and I was surprised it wasn't jam packed in here. Nestled in the Cedar Ridge plaza on Algonquin Rd. with plenty of parking, come check this place out for some authentic sushi rolls and Nigiri. We tried these rolls as pictured: Rainbow, Nigiri, Kamikaze, and Ceviche. None of these rolls were spicy to me and each was absolutely delicious. I finished things off with the fresh cucumber salad and enjoyed it very much. The Kamikaze roll was my first bite, spicy tuna and sweet sauce, but it wasn't spicy at all. The ceviche roll tasted like a fun ceviche would, with the cilantro and avocado. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but slightly warm temp for my liking. I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. Anything with the crabmeat is not gluten free, and they do have Tamari sauce. You'll probably be asking for More. I had two rolls, salad, and my husband had the Nigiri and Rainbow roll. The total was under $100 for us both and worth it. Edit: came back again for the Crazy & Sexy rolls. The Crazy roll had tuna, salmon, avocado and some chili oil in a delicate packet of goodness. I was impressed with the sexy rolls in cucumber, what a refreshing treat! The tuna, salmon, avocado, and radish were rolled in cucumber slices and marinated in a tangy/savory black pepper vinaigrette. I'll definitely come back for these rolls!Vegetarian options: They do carry vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: They do have gluten free options and can modify some rolls.“
“Me and my husband tried out this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. What an amazing experience! We started off with the chef's choice nigiri, which we had never had before. Each piece was delicious! We both got drinks: him a beer, and I got the claus-mopolitan. Yummy!! Then we split the Barramundi: sea bass cooked in parchment paper. Oh my god, it was so good! The potato croquettes were very good, but they have Sweet Baby Ray's on them. Wasn't expecting that! This was an amazing experience and we look forward to coming back in the future“
“I ordered a bowl for pickup through their website. I chose crab sticks for my main protein. Extra $1 each to add avocado and crabstick salad. It was delicious and the sushi rice was hot. Bowl was ready at their estimated time. My only complaint is that they forgot 3 of the ingredients that were written on the receipt: pineapple, mango, sweet onion. There was no extra charge for these so I wasn't too upset about it but forgetting 3 items in the bowl is kind of a lot. Next time I'll order there inside the restaurant.“
“88 Saigon is a truly a hidden GEM. The staff treated me like family and was VERY respectful. The food was amazing! I especially enjoyed the Vietnamese spring rolls! They were perfectly wrapped with the BEST peanut sauce. The pho is the perfect meal in winter especially. I HIGHLY recommend everyone checks this place out! You will not be disappointed.“
“Delicious food and the outdoor seating is great! They changed our reservation to outdoor when I asked because it was too loud inside. It does get very busy and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but the service was still really good and we didn't mind waiting a bit longer since the food is great! Highly recommend for a fun date night or get-together.“
“My new favorite restaurant for Thai food! My husband and I have been there twice for lunch and were not disappointed. The food is fresh, flavorful and delicious. Service is polite and prompt. Restaurant is clean. Prices are reasonable. The jalapeño bomb appetizer is a must try!“
“This has become our go-to sushi spot, especially for delivery. A couple weeks ago I placed an order and they accidentally gave me the wrong roll, so I called and let them know. The person I talked to (I assume the owner but I didn't catch her name) said she recognized my name from the order and will give me the roll for free next time. I didn't think she would actually remember until a couple nights ago when I was going to order again and called the store just to see if she remembered. Right when I told her my name, she remembered my order and told me she would send it. She apologized again and I told her I appreciated the thought and remembering. My fiancee and I already love this place, this took it over the top. We feel valued as customers and always love the food, even the wrong orders!“
“Our post Valentine's dinner. Gregorio was entertaining. I had the steak and scallops, both delicious and well seasoned. My hubby had the steak and lobster. Come hungry when coming to a hibachi dinner, as the rest of it is taken to go.“
“I drive about 40 minutes at least once a month to eat here. The drive is absolutely worth it every time. I refuse to eat sushi anywhere else because it will never satisfy as well as Shima’s. I have been going here for about 5 years and the food and service never disappoints. They are like family here and I always leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face. Not to mention that their prices are really fair, especially for where they are located. Come here and you will not regret it!!“
“I've been going here for many years now and the staff has consistently been amazing and helpful! The food here is amazing no matter what you order! Hibachi is a great experience for parties/get togethers, and the sushi bar is a great alternative for smaller gatherings/date nights! One of my families favorite restaurants and one that never disappoints!!! %100 percent would recommend to anyoneVegetarian options: There are quite a few delicious veggie based options! Though not all are specifically labeled as vegetarian, the staff are very willing to share any answers to questions or options you may be looking for! They're veggie sushi, avocado rolls and Vegetable tempura is a must for any vegetarian looking to get some high quality sushi/Japanese food options!Dietary restrictions: A lot of their stuff is dairy free/gluten free due to it being a lot of rice/meat, it's not specifically labeled, but looking around or asking the waiter, you can find tons of options!Parking: There are a good number of parking spots- though when it gets busy you may have to park in front of the stores nearby; it's never too badKid-friendliness: They have a really cool fish tank that I see a ton of kids absolutely enraptured by! They have some pretty cool drinks options for kids as well as great entertainment with the Hibachi table/chef!“
“Jay was an amazing server! He was on top of it and made sure we had the best experience! He had the best personally and made us feel very welcomed. Loved his service and would definitely come back! As well as great food! I try different dishes every time I come and they have been all delicious!Parking: A lot of space parking available“
“I have been going here for over 10 years and the food is amazing the staff treat you like family and the food is always fresh! The KG Roll the Kabuki Roll, The Baked Lobster Roll and the Spicy Tuna are awesome and the Raman too! You gotta give this place a try it’s small but it’s big in “
“It's the hubby's birthday..he was in the mood for tempura.. so we stopped in here. Service was fast and friendly.. answered any questions we had. We ordered crab ragoons, pot stickers, hot tempura plate with shrimp and white rice.. he ordered tempura vegtables and shrimp plate with fried rice. We also had the meso soup and house salad.. Wow..it was all delicious. Stop in..you won't be sorry.“
“The food was good. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and were college athletes, so I would have liked a little more food. The other people at our table needed boxes though. The order for us was noodles, rice, meat, vegetables, which was a little odd but it’s okay. The guy wasn’t as fun as I would have liked.“
“The service is always amazing, the green tea is fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely and the sushi is out of this world! The sushi chefs are VERY conscientious of food allergies and modifications are not only recommended but often accommodated. We highly suggest the edamame with garlic, salt and spice. Delicious!! For sushi their Grinch roll is a must. We have never been disappointed with anything we’ve tried and we have went way outside of our comfort zone a few times. ;)“
