“Quite a drive for me but worth the trip. Easy parking, the place was inviting even from the outside, and seating was comfortable. Our waitress was super nice and attentive throughout our meal. All three of us had the bottomless mimosa, which is only worth it if you drink three or more. I chose it because I wanted to try the different kinds of mimosas: oj, cranberry, and pineapple. Yum to them all. For my meal, I split the Veggie Fritatta and the Chiliquiles with my friend. I liked the chiliqiiles more (crunchy chips) than the fritatta (chunks of potato). The special: corn beef eggrolls were also really good. My other friend had the steak and cheese, which she loved. The amount given was just enough, and the prices were decent.“

“They got us in right away for our reservation for eight, the food was plenty for the money our server had a couple of issues, for instance he brought me out my soup but I could not eat it unit it had cooled off because he never brought me a spoon so I had to wait for my sister-in-law was finished with her soup so I could use it. Then when we asked for more sour cream and butter for the baked potatoes again it never showed up. Unit getting our food wrapped up we also asked for extra sauce for the lamb lollipops. The food was very good. We will try again.“

Very sparse parking so we asked where to park and immediately the female bartender came outside and pointed to a few locations. She must have been an owner because it is rare and doubtful an employee would be so accommodating. Moving on..... We were seated, by the very nice and conscientious female bartender. She asked for our drink order and gave us menus........ So far so good......The food..... Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner-Outstanding Monster Burger-Incredible Ruben-Great Patty Melt- Delicious Absolutely excellent all around. Not a single negative comment from anyone in our party. Oh, yeah! There was a gentleman talking to some people at the bar and was showing the coolest DUCK model to his friends. Said his buddy made them and was selling them for $5. I snapped it up and thanked him. That doesn't happen nowadays. How cool is that. The entire experience of that bar/grille was that of a typical Chicago old neighborhood tavern. Great people. “Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. We were too full to eat desert, but we took a piece of homemade tiramiso with. It was a slice of heaven. Great service and wonderful food“

“The food was outstanding. Our server was helpful in recommending dishes. She was attentive, especially with how busy the restaurant was. The manager stopped by just to check in. The food runners were great. All of the staff was excellent. The only negative was the loud noises that came from upstairs. It sounded like loud thunder, but I think it was dragging chairs. It was extremely loud and disruptive. Fortunately it only lasted 30 minutes or so and was off & on so it didn't ruin the night.“

Our meals; mine a steak salad; was really good and all the meals were excellent and so beautifully prepared and presented. We are a family that loves fries and each order was excellent. We even had at least one order of sweet potato fries. I have a few meals I need to go back to try including breakfast since it was after breakfast serving hours. And although we did not have any cocktails, the bar looked fully loaded, and at a later date I most probably will embibe. We all agreed it was a very good lunch and most definately will be back and bringing others to enjoy a Wadsworth hidden gem!“

“We celebrated a birthday here recently. The steak was excellent! I eat primarily carnivore and the kitchen prepared a skirt steak atop a bed of bacon. Not just a couple slices of average bacon. This was 6 slices of crispy bacon topped with a perfect medium rare steak! A great meal overall with one caveat when they gave our table to another party when we were 5 minutes late and told us they did that. We waited about 20 minutes for our table. Not the end of the world but a bit frustrating.“

“If you can imagine a Wisconsin Supper Club (good food all around) married to a classic sports bar (TVs and good drinks with decent pours) right on a nice-sized lake, you'll get an idea of what Fairmont Shores is like. The first thing that strikes you when you enter is the crowded and noisy large single room with a square bar dominating the center, all with a pleasant welcoming neighborhood feel. This restaurant had unbeatable ambiance: inside with a wall of windows looking out over Fox Lake with the sun setting in the evening, and outside with a lakeside patio deck available when the weather co-operates. We started with cocktails and beer, all nicely brought off - routinely 4 star stuff. For appetizers we tried the Mozzarella Sticks (5 star cheese sticks nicely breaded and done just enough to get the cheese softened) and the Bruschetta (a 4 star offering with a nice baguette with all the toppings and a nice balsamic glaze). For mains, and since we were here on Friday: two of our party had the all-you-can-eat fish fry with a choice of fish (our selection was 4 star stuff, nicely fried white fish); another in our party had the grilled salmon (a nice 3 star offering of salmon - a hair overdone - served with hushpuppies, and fries or a baked potato): and what the last in our party had was probably a wrap (?). Service was on point: they had lots of servers, quick food preparation and delivery from the kitchen, and an active full-service bar. You may want to make reservations so you are not disappointed ... this place gets crowded fast, especially on weekends. And don't forget the standouts here: all-you-can eat Fish Fry Fridays, and Sunday Brunch from Easter to Labor Day. If you are out this way, you have to give this place a try.“

The service, from being warmly greeted to the very end was excellent. I was there with a larger party. Everyone raved about their food.. We ordered the oysters. They were massive!! And really good.
