“One of the best breakfast brunch spots around. They forgot one item in my pickup order and the manager called me within 5 minutes. I turned around and came back for the order. They were very apologetic and unnecessarily even gave me a $10 gift card.I feel that if an order goes wrong and the business figures it out first and deals with it, there is no fault. The manager at this location is top notch and this place will always be on top of my list for ordering brunch!“

“My husband discovered this restaurant has an entirely gluten-free menu and is farm-to-table. The offerings were so good! On our first visit, we began with the charcuterie board and bruschetta, then two of us had a scallop special, and my son had the flat iron steak. All the bread was fresh and excellent--not "for being GF" but just plain good. The dessert choices were interesting and my husband had the lemon poppy seed cake with a lemon sauce. And the wine list was phenomenal! A fun mix of specialty cocktails, too!We have returned multiple times and had consistently good food and service. The menu evolves to incorporate seasonal items.“

“We visited on Monday for brunch, so no waiting & super fast service, but this probably varies depending on when you visit. But the menu was extraordinary! Great selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. We tried 2 skillets, both plentiful and full of flavor. The pancakes, sometimes an afterthought at restaurants, were especially delicious! “Beautiful & delicious gem in Downtown Algonquin.This is truly one of the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice. There is a little stage with instruments. If you are a musician the owner will let you play. There is a patio too if you prefer to sit outside. The service was very welcoming and polite. “The BEST frozen pizza out there based on my 68-years' experience. The rim of the crust is a warm, crumbly, "cookie" that is transformative! Impossible not to devour the entire pie. “Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!“

“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well.The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. “The food was fantastic! Fresh, healthy, and tasty. They offer a tasting of an item before you order if you're uncertain whether you'll like it. The Moroccan eggplant, carrots, hummus, and falafel were especially great. I'm a huge tabouleh/tabouli fan, but their's was not my favorite; same for the babaganoush as it lacked smokiness. That said, it's a personal flavor and texture preference and I'm sure it's good for others. It's a very small place; a few seats are available in the general common area of this building just outside the restaurant; I think it is primarily a take-away place. I will mention that the flow to the ordering/waiting/ serve/ self serve processes were a bit awkward. I'd mentored to the employee that we'd not been there before, but the person behind the counter expected us to know how they do things and didn't communicate their expectations until after they see you're not doing as they expect, e g., you don't wait for your hot drink but sit outside of the restaurant and they bring it to you, the rice which is on the salad menu and an item that we expected as part of the large sampler is actually not one of the salad options for the samplers but they provide an item that isn't even on the salad list (I had the employeepount out each item provided as they're kinda' mushed together; they bring your food to you but you get your own plasticware, napkins, cup. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously not hard, but if you don't know what's expected, it makes for service awkwardness. Street parking was fairly easy, but if it was busy on the square I expect parking would be difficult. Despite the few oddities, I'd definitely return and highly recommend for vegetarians and vegans.Vegetarian options: The restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan selections.“

“I didn't know so I want you to know! We were searching for a place to hold our funeral luncheon. We needing something McHenry local, good food, and could accomodate us on short notice. BuddyZ answered the call. They had a banquet room in the back with access to the patio. We had the pizza, salad, chicken fingers, mostaccioli bar. The food was brought out as soon as we arrived. There were tables of varied heights which accomodated our entire family. Carrie, Caitlyn & Kirsty were so friendly, professional and attentive.Thank you all for being there for our family when we needed you.“

“The atmosphere at Brunch Cafe in Huntley is incredibly inviting and comforting. As someone who struggles with severe anxiety and depression, I decided to stop in alone before work today. (Working on my social anxiety) Being a dog groomer, I find that starting my day off on the right foot sets the tone for the rest of my day. My waitress, a lovely redhead with stunning black nails, was incredibly sweet and understanding. The Sunday morning vibe here was just what I needed. Everyone I encountered was so kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. As I continue to work on self-love, I think I may make visiting this cafe a monthly ritual. I highly recommend stopping by - you won't regret it!“

“The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ladies working here are so nice. I ordered the ginger tea and was blown away. Strong and full of flavor. This is the best ginger tea I have ever had. You can tell this is made fresh and not with a tea bag. My husband and I split the fried calamari it was perfectly cooked, chewy but not rubbery at all! My husband ordered the Thai fried rice with shrimp. He loved the flavor he just wish that they took the tails off the shrimp. He said he would definitely order it again. I had the Long Life Soup with extra Vegetables. I am normally not a fan of clear glass noodles but this soup was so delicious and I really enjoyed eating it! This restaurant is very clean, they play instrumental music and put white paper on the tables. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if your in the area.“

The staff provides just the right amount of attention, and the owner (manager?) was overlooking the dining room, checking for any requests between the waitresses' visits. We were very pleased with the food - delicious brie puffs and hot goat cheese with toasted bread disappeared in a minute, and all our entres were very good - both vegetarian and meat. Everything was fresh, well made, and appealingly presented. Mixed drinks were amazing and very well presented, too. I am not going to suggest o do anything about curb appeal mentioned in other reviews (which is non-existent) and bar area that is a bit creepy, because it looks like it works for them and they have enough customers already. Plus, if they have a better curb appeal, maybe we won't get a table next time, which eould be a bummer - cause we are definitely coming back!“

“I came here on Monday, February 12th, with my friend for my birthday and we spent a good amount of time in here enjoying our drinks and chatting. It was so nice and comfortable inside and there was a good selection of chocolates, too. Also, there were vegan chocolate options which was good for my friend. I had the matcha latte and it was so good! I wish I would have gotten a larger size, but that means I'll have to make another trip out there to get one! It wasn't very crowed when we were there and it was rather peaceful, too, as we couldn't really hear the people around us talking. “Southern Belle's is a really good restaurant. The service is top-notch. The food is cooked fresh. The Southern Belles skillet is by far my favorite breakfast dish. My wife enjoys the Pesto Egg Benedict. Super fresh and yummy. Also the Pancakes are huge, buttery and the house syrup is excellent. Their mixed drinks, brewed drinks and mimosa's are pretty great and well worth it. I had the Chi Tea ice latte and it was fantastic. The price is good.My wife and I have enjoyed Brunch Cafe and Maple n Syrup. But Southern Belle's is by far our favorite place for breakfast. We highly recommend it and like we said the service is excellent. The only critique would be to to change the sesame chicken recipe because it looked and tasted exactly like the orange chicken with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Sesame chicken meat was tough too, we were disappointed with that dish. Otherwise we will be back to try more things off the menu.“

“Went to visit my mother who stays and Woodstock IL and was going to another place and I saw Papa Murphy's Pizza and it was worth the stop. I have issues with my stomach and they offer gluten free crust and dairy free cheese if you need it. They also offer regular pizza and have kid friendly options too. They are not to expensive either which is a plus and would be great for any occasion. FYI the pizzas are take and bake but the fun part is you get to watch them make them. The taste of the purple drank sticks with me to this day. BUT, such is the duality of man, that drink also haunts me to this day. For they had NO boba straws! I had to dig my delicate little hands into the ice to get the squishy rubbery balls out of the cup and into my mouth. I was mortified and my fingers were cold. My pride...tarnished. The potato salad, on the other hand was the worst I’ve ever had. Being from Texas, I prefer Mayo and mustard in my potato salad, but I have appreciated just Mayo also. This definitely missed the mark. My daughter got the breakfast burrito and thought it was fine, but not special. The best part of our meal was our lattes, which were delicious! We would return for the lattes and to try the beignets. The service was slow, but not surprising since lunchtime was very busy. Our server was friendly and attentive.“

“I have been here quite a handful of times now. Their main dish positions are big. I like that they have a "heat" scale of 1 to 5 that they ask you before making your dish. Their appetizers are filling and enough to share. Cons-their satay children is hit or miss. Sometimes it's juicy and all the flavors click and sometimes it tastes old and leaves a sour aftertaste. Also when they pack up your food, if you don't specify to pack the leftover appetizers with your dishes they just throw them out. Otherwise, everyone is nice and the food is worth it to come back!“
